This is Alien LE #001. Andrew Heighway sold his personal number one to the Pinball Brothers, one of the last games built by them after the acquisition, which makes it a very reliable original Alien. I purchased it directly from one of the owners of Pinball Brothers around the time they were getting ready to launch the remake. The late build LEs are highly regarded by collectors. If you haven't played an original in this condition, it is one of the most unusual experiences in pinball. Amazing music from David Thiel, rgb lighting effects, excellent clips from the movies, and clever flow in a wide body game. The original feels like heavy equipment that might be out of the movie. I’ve had no problems but accumulated various extra parts regardless. Many think Heighway Alien is the best immersion in all of pinball. The integrated playfield screen is fantastic and aesthetically gorgeous, also the go to during gameplay. Mods include the interactive apron, EL panel in the backglass, motion radar detector above the shooting lane, and mini-beacons from Germany that go at the ramp entrances and above the inlane drop areas(uninstalled). Extra parts include two latest generation 1.4 I/O boards, many extra proximity sensors, extra back decorative panel, various LEDs, standup LED targets, launch wireform, extra face huggers (improved design), and a rubber set. You can tell that I love this game, but am trying to downsize a bit, and rotate games. If you want a highly collectible and reliable Alien, this may be the one.
