For sale: 1960 WMS OFFICIAL BASEBALL Pitch and Bat Arcade

Selling a restored Williams Official Baseball pitch and bat from 1960. This is one of the most sought-after Baseball arcades due to its unique design. The umpire hands the ball to the pitcher who throws a pitch to the batter. There are also 9 defensive metal players on the field with Out holes in front of them. If you reach the score holes at the rear of the playfield a baserunner pops up and runs the bases based on what hit you scored.

This game is from Williams Mfg, who made some of the most iconic pinball and baseball games in the “golden era” of Pitch and Bat Baseball Arcades in the 1950’s and 1960’s. This game was released in 1960 and is the size of pinball.
It is a beautiful design and has the Running Man Unit in the head behind glass – where players pop up and run the bases when hits are made. When they reach Home they disappear (going back in the dugout I assume) and a run is scored on the score reel along with a bell ring. A different bell rings when a hit is made. This game also features a Beat High Score reel and if you beat the previous high score it awards 5 free games with a rapid fire popping at the end of game. Has option to set game length of 1, 2 or 3 innings.

This game has been nearly fully restored yet retains many original parts that were refurbished as needed. Please examine all the pictures for detail of condition. The Backglass is original with minor touchups, and the same goes for the cabinet.

Summary of restoration work done and condition:
• All Stepper and Score Units were disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt.
• All woodrails and wood trim around the backbox were stripped and refininished with fresh lacquer.
• The wood on front of control panel / lockdown bar was repainted (original red), as was the wood on front and sides of the playfield (red). The formica top on the control / lock down panel is in excellent condition.
• Repainted front of cabinet (with coin door) which is most visible. Sides of cab are original with touchups as needed
• Coin door was derusted, cleaned and repainted original Hammered silver
• Coin entry plates are New Old Stock (hard to find in any condition). Round red Williams logo on coin door is New reproduction. Complete and functioning coin mechs on inside of door.
• Installed new anodized red metal Start button and pitch button. Added new bat shaped batting lever on Control Panel / Lockdown bar.
• Legs were painted original red and have new leg bolts and leg levelers
• All metal Players on the playfield are complete and were stripped and repainted original colors and design. Some of these are typically missing or broken from ball pounding over the years.
• All metal parts were cleaned and polished. New correct size balls installed.
• Running Man Unit was thoroughly cleaned and refurbished to work properly.
• Everything inside Cabinet and Head was cleaned and rebuilt. Game plays perfectly.
• All proper paperwork instructions are installed under the playfield as originally shipped (see pics). Will also include original schematics and other paperwork and score and instruction cards.

He is cheaper than the big guys and very reliable. I used him to deliver a Short Stop to me 6 months ago.
