It is with no small amount of regret that I am listing this incredible HEP restoration of Theatre of Magic. This machine was restored/built from the ground up with custom cabinet by HEP in 2015. I am the second owner since it was restored.
Their pictures of this machine are available at: http://christopherhutchins.com/gallery/v/Finished-Games/album612/?g2_page=1
I have yet to see a finer version of this machine. Nearly everything on this machine has been brassed, including legs, coin door, shooter panel and knob, side rails, interior side walls, apron, magnet, wireform ramps, captive balls, etc. It has invisiglass and a number of tasteful mods including color DMD, speaker lights, clock, motorized tiger saw and lit back lane mirror. It is absolutely gorgeous and plays better than any version of this game I have ever seen. It comes with the pictured topper and many extra parts including playfield plastics and extra trunk motor. Inside the cabinet is extremely clean. Mag sensors for trunk and outlane ball saves are perfectly dialed in.
It came to me with just 70 games started, and as time of posting it is at 96, though I may play occasionally before it sells, since I know I am going to miss this - none of the places I can play this locally have great examples of this game. Honestly the game plays better than any I played on location in 1995 and that's no exaggeration. The only thing that I felt I needed to add to this game was mylar squares under the inlane ball drops.
It was my grail pin - the first game I really got into and went out of my way to go places to play when I was young and I was ecstatic to get my hands on this. Unfortunately with all of the brass I'm finding I am constantly stressing about my kids and dogs damaging the finish, and as much as I absolutely adore it I feel like it belongs with a collector who has a more controlled environment because I find myself keeping a wall of boxes around the game so they can't get near it. I need to let go of it and put something here that I'm not going to worry about my kids touching or roughhousing german shepherds running into.
I am looking primarily to sell but would consider certain trades +/- cash including
Stern TMNT (any)
Deadpool (any)
Stern Jurassic Park (premium)
Godzilla (premium)
I am not interested in shipping, but the game is located on my first floor just 20 feet from my front door. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
