For sale: Genco 400

1952 Genco 400 vertical pinball game. really more of a gambling machine. You get 6 balls for 5 cents, then you can "buy" up to 6 extra balls for a nickle each to try and complete a sequence that pays 3,5,7,12,20... up to 440 "replays". You can use these replays to play more games/extra balls, or there is a knock off button on the top that a bartender would use to clear the credits after the payoff.
There is a "skill control" at the lower left that mechanically flips the left rebound a little which adds pinball-ish participation during play. The machine is in nice shape, pretty veneer, the original glass decoration is still slightly visible. I bought this as a non working project. the nails were replaced and it was missing balls. I've got it working 95% now and have 2 Caitlin balls for it. The nickel mech is picky sometimes and I'd replace the selenium rectifier if you plan on operating it or leaving it turned on all day. It's pretty fun, it near misses often...just need that last number... Takes up very little space, much like a Skill Roll. Nice addition to any collection for 700.00 EZ pick up in Des Plaines. Not really looking for trades, time for me to make some space.
