FOR SALE: One of the less common Data East titles from the early 90's - Checkpoint! This machine is currently in as-found, "project", condition - but has "good-bones", and does boot/play as it sits. Prospective buyers should assume the machine will need completely gone through to make it truly playable, reliable, and presentable, again. I had plans of bringing this pin back to life myself, but started some restores on a few classic video cabs, so I am going to let it go as it. I bought this pin from the original owner, who owned a campground, where it sat for its entire life and received light commercial use. As such, this machine is without the bumps/bruises and cosmetic flaws that typically came with more traditional-routing.

Please review the pictures closely for additional condition details, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, or if you would like to see additional photos of a specific area. The original playfield looks like it had full-mylar from day-one, and should clean up nicely. The boards are exceptionally clean on this pin, and no alkaline damage is present outside the battery holder (I pulled the original batteries!). The original shaker motor is present and works. The original, and basically unobtanium, silkscreened backglass is absolutely perfect on this machine. The cabinet is very solid and without any water/moisture damage; however, the painted side art looks like it was wiped down with something that wasn't compatible with the finish, and it is unfortunately peeling on the cabinet sides. The cab finish is not planked, it is just oddly peeling. Cabinet decals are available, but I would just stick it in a tight lineup and enjoy... its not that bad from a distance and the head is not peeling. The DMD does not come currently up on the machine. I did not check voltages, so it may be dead or it may just need the proper inputs.

The game is located in Central Pennsylvania, just off I-99. Pickup is highly preferred, but shipping is all-good too, as long as the buyer makes all the arraignments, and payment-in-full has cleared my account before the game leaves my possession.

IN REGARD TO THE CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC: This pin is currently located in my clean, dry, and climate controlled warehouse. If a meaningful deposit is received, you're more than welcome to leave it there until such a time when you are comfortable picking it up. In that scenario, I do reserve the right to at least one or two games a week though! If you would like to get it into your lineup ASAP, I am open to a pickup anytime, and we can easily abide by all of the recommended practices for interaction. You can drive right into the building and almost right up to your new machine. I have all the lifts/dolly's/carts needed to make loading it a breeze. I will leave it as you're call, and I will respect and accommodate what ever you decide.
