Thinking about selling my Blackwater 100....I say thinking, as I may change my mind!
The good:
The pin is in pretty good shape. Cabinet looks good with minor scratches, one side is faded a bit, while the other looks good. I can take better pics of the cabinet tomorrow. Boards are all original, and have no issues. Displays are nice and bright with no missing segments. Everything works on the game, and it has been mostly LED'd. The only place where there are some incadescents is the flashers, and the apron playfield. Changing those have been on my to do list, but just haven't gotten around to it. The playfield looks very good with only one spot of wear, and all the inserts are flat.
The bad:
When I got the game, the previous owner had placed it in the front window display of his store for awhile, and most all the ramps had been warped due to the heat. What that guy was thinking, I have no clue! I tore the entire playfield apart, and with a heat gun, I was able to get the ramps back into shape for the most part. I say that because while the game does play pretty good, but there are some areas where the ball will get stuck sometimes, and there are some areas that could be smoothed out better. The one wear spot on the playfield is just above the bottom left flipper, which you can see in the pics.
If anyone needs any specific pics, let me know. I just realized I did not take any pics of the boards, but I will do that when I take some more cabinet shots tomorrow.
Also, the game has the single ball ROMs in it. Originally, the game would start with a three ball multiball. Later, they updated the ROMs to only allow a single ball at the start. It appears a lot of players were a bit confused by the instant multiball, so Bally adjusted it to be more like a normal game.
