Went here on 4/24/18. The games list was VERY outdated. It was basically an entire new lineup. Guardians, Iron Maiden, and Sopranos are at the front, while everything else (including a second Iron Maiden) are in the back.
AYCE Gogi is really the go-to place for me in Los Angeles. The little adjunct to the Korean BBQ restaurant it is hiding behind is actually called On Tilt!, but since there are also four pinball machines in the entryway to the restaurant it's almost like a pinball place that happens to have a Korean BBQ bisecting it. There are 20 games at any given time, four in the front and 16 in the back, which is really a barcade that serves drinks at certain hours but is accessible during AYCE Gogi's regular business hours. (I've gone in for an hour or so on weekday afternoons when possible and had the place to myself the whole time.)
The last time I went (a couple of weeks ago) they had Godzilla, Baywatch, Metallica and Tron out front. In the back they had all sorts of great treats, including a bunch of machines rotated in for Halloween: Walking Dead, three Elvira machines (including the brand new Stern machine House of Horrors) and Alice Cooper. That was rounded out with The Beatles, Jurassic Park, Munsters, Batman 66, Deadpool, Pirates of the Carribean, Willy Wonka, and Medieval Madness. There's also Big Game, Quicksilver, and Cheetah, all of which happened to be released in 1980.
The owner is apparently also a distributor of new machines and I'm guessing he must have have a deep roster of older releases tucked away in a warehouse somewhere! I understand he is opening a second location here in the San Fernando Valley soon and can't wait to see what machines end up in there. Will update as necessary.
Medieval Madness, Quicksilver, and Cheetah are gone for the time being, as is the oldest Elvira machine. Wheel of Fortune is back, Jungle Queen and Star Gazer added, and coolest of all, Total Nuclear Annihilation. If you're taking requests, bring back the Pabst Can Crusher!
Brought back Jungle Queen, The Sopranos; added Radical, Viking, Star Light, and two new Stranger Things machines (I don't know which versions they are, I just added them as Pro and LE since it wouldn't let me list the same machine twice). Alas, gone are Batman 66 and House of Horrors! :(
I know what you’re thinking. BBQ and pinball? To answer that question, hell yes. What a bad ass joint. Better go check it out for yourself.
Excellent location for pinball! Easily the best spot in all of LA when you consider most games are premium versions and set to 75 cents max even for the best games. Many premium Sterns are set to 50 cents where other locations have them for a $1. All machines are perfectly maintained and insider connected, there's even a digital high score list on the wall. My only negative for this location is the pins are separated, some are in the front of the location and the rest way in the back. You will have to walk through people eating kbbq to go back and forth. There is a bar in the back where all the main pins are which is great. Easy parking with a huge lot.
