Slim's Downtown
One of Raleigh's oldest active dive bars. Friendly staff with cheap drinks and live music pretty regularly. Pinball and a single pool table is upstairs (staircase near the stage). Great outdoor patio that is comfortable and friendly.

As noted, you can just walk in and go upstairs and play Pirates of the Caribbean Pinball. The machine is quiet and dark and it is difficult to see what it going on, but it is otherwise playable.
