First, the good. NO credit dots. That was pretty impressive. Great selection of games, and cool atmosphere. They also had 10 or so arcade games plus a couch with an N64 and other consoles. They serve beer.
Good/bad- the flippers on every game were very strong. Good for ramp shots of course but balls would fly off ramps and nearly get stuck. Most games were LED'd but not with the high quality non-strobe kind. Lots of strobe effects. And some were WAY too bright, like in the WCS94.
The bad- lighting wasn't great. The pins on the left side had ok lighting but the ones on the back wall had none, and the lights just from the pins were not enough. Combine that with the LED strobe effect and WCS was almost unplayable back there. Most legs on the pins seemed a little loose and almost all needed to be properly leveled (side-side). The WHO dunnit was so sensitive to tilting that it tilted all three of my balls within a few seconds of plunging. And the sound was muted or not working. The Apollo 13 was set to free play which was nice, but the right flipper worked intermittently so it wasn't much fun to play even for free. Most pins were set very quiet which I think is crazy! Turn 'em up!
Overall, it was worth the hour drive and I wish them good luck!

Super-friendly bar with lots of machines.

Excellent selection of pins, all set to 50 cents a play or less. All of them work great, nice and clean, reasonable settings and tilts. Great work to whoever maintains them. Also happened to stop in on Wednesday night when they have the bar league night. All pins are set on free play that night.

Overall, a great place to hang out. i didn't even bother checking out any other Portland locations while I am in town on business.

We stopped in here on our way to Pintastic New England, and then planned an extra overnight in Portland so we could stop in here and Coast City again on the way back! Machines all play very well and are set to 50 cents a game. Bar staff is very friendly and they have about 12 craft beer on tap (also some food available but didn't sample any). Some arcade games as well for those that are interested. Ample washroom facilities as well.

Our first visit was Wednesday night. Although their pin golf tournament didn't start until 8, the machines were already all on free play when we got there at 6, which was nice but did mean a slight wait to play some. On Sunday night it got busy but not until later so we had lots of time to play. One note - enter Preble Street from Congress and be cautious if you wander farther down the street than Arcadia. It gets a bit sketchy.

An awesome spot to play and have a drink.
