Great place to play, played in their first pinball tournament came in 4th place. Need to get there and enjoy the pins without being in tournament mode
This is a store that has an arcade and LaserTag. The arcade has a few rooms with many pinball machines. The newer pinball machines are in the front rooms and the older machines are in the back rooms. Machines can be turned on by reaching under the front right corner and turning the switch, unless the machines are unplugged. The Mandalorian, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Willy Wonka are in the arcade area with the video games and require magnetic cards to play them. The store sells Outer Banks souvenirs, beer, soda, and some groceries. A snack bar sells Hunt Brothers Pizza and some other items.
5/2021 - The pins have all been moved to the back and set to free play (Save for a few premium games which require credits that are located in the main room). They also just opened an entirely new room dedicated to older pins. Most machines I played were working pretty well, although many had one or two minor issues and a handful weren't playable when I was there. Them being on free play now definitely makes starting a game on a broken machine more bearable now. For the most part though, I was pleased with the overall maintenance quality. - I completely re-did the game's list to reflect what games were and weren't there when I visited on 5/30/20201.
5/2022 - There are sixty pins now according to the staff. No longer set to free play, but 75 cents per game on the magnetic cards. Bummer, but still better than most places charging $1.
5/14/2023 All pins are set to $0.50 except for Godfather and Foo Fighters. Games are in good shape and issues are addressed frequently. A little over 70 pins in total.
06/15/2024 - All pins are $0.75 a play on a token based card system which you can also use elsewhere in the arcade. Mandalorian was set incorrectly to .75/token, causing it to cost $2.25 a game! There are 20+ older machines in the back that take physical tokens. Everything was in good shape except for the JP machine not being connected to Insider Connect.
Opens everyday from 7 am to 9 pm.

They didn't have Space Station, LOTR, POTC, FGY, Flash Gordon, TSPP, Star Wars, CSI, Captain Fantastic, or the '78 Star Trek when I was there a few weeks ago. Seems that they got an X-Men, Sopranos, IJ (Williams), and HS though.
Update 9/30/12: Scared Stiff, Family Guy, Simpsons Pinball Party and Dale Jr. added. Dale Jr. doesnt show up on the list of games though.
Scared Stiff is an awesome table, get in there and play it!
The games were a great variaty and a great shape. They had all the color DMD games with color DMD's.
haven't seen these lately:
transformers
SW:Ep1 (just recently removed)
RCT
Rolling Stones
T2
BSD
Black Rose
Cyclone
12/7/14:
No Twilight Zone
They did have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Data East) and Hercules (Atari) during my visit.
Went yesterday they have almost every top game you can imagine!!! WOZ was down and I wanted to cry... Will I ever get to try this game???
I was happy to see Hercules in great condition at the spring tournament. I've never seen the spinner spin before, I always thought that was a misnomer!
Great place to visit if you are in the area. All of the games bring back that old arcade feel, if only for a little while.
Just finished our 2019 vacation. Stopped at Flippers a total of three times, on the way to Kitty Hawk, Tournament night (Wednesday) and when leaving OBX. Was able to play Black Knight SOR, Alice Cooper, Willy Wonka some of the newer releases. As well as TNA, Metallica, Star Trek, Dead Pool, Monster Bash and a few others. Looks like I'll be heading back soon. Why wait until my next vacation when Flippers is only 80 miles away. OBX best bang for your buck stop-over. Fill up your gas tank and get some food. Don't forget to purchase T-shirt too.
Holy crap. This place has everything. Is this the best place I have ever been to? It might be.
Back of Flippers Arcade is a pinball museum. Over 80 pinballs to play. Most new Stern Titles and lots of classics.
All pins in back are on free play. 1 hour, $5.00, 2 hours, $9.00, Play all day $15.00. Open everyday 7am to 9pm
Stopped in today. Place has some hard to find games for you to play. Played big bang bar #9. Also enjoyed circus Voltaire and fathom. Some machines were down but guy I talked to said owner was coming in to fix them. Only played for an hour and the only negative was the old gal who stopped me mid ball to check for my wristband. I guess since we were the only 3 in the place and we had to pay her before we played that she must have confused with the other customers (none).
Updated with some significant new additions - Elton John, Jaws, Big Lebowski, Hobbit, Wizard of Oz. I wasn't able to cross-reference everything to see what got removed, so some games on the list may not be there anymore.
I can see in the pictures that you have a wonderful place Richard muy bien hecho!.
In the images I can see that you have not placed the toppers you asked me, I hope soon to see them ready in their corresponding places.
Again thank you very much for your wonderful support and I hope we continue to do business.
Best regards.
