One of my favorite B/W DMD games.

Pros:
-Shots flow well. REALLY well.
-LOVE the music that changes as you progress. Music can make a game for me (see also: Congo)
-Fun theme
-Pretty game, topper looks sweet.
-Samsquanch ball diverter is cute and fun

Cons:
-um.... I guess I don't like the service rails on the games from '92 as well as the games from '93 on.
-Hard to shop or get to certain switches if they're not working

This is the best game Nordman has made.

A wonderful game that doesn't fail to take you on a rafting adventure. Definitely one of my favourites!

Pros:
- superb artwork
- a very adventurous game that takes you down a water run that you'll definitely enjoy
- amazing playfield layout, particularly the upper playfield with the 3rd flipper
- lots of ramps
- beautiful toys and gimmicks, especially the decorative rocks
- pop bumpers are made to replicate a rocky obstacle
- lots of great, but easy, shots to make

Cons:
- my only beef with this game is the sound, tune could be better, so could the quality

Love this game, lots of fun and plenty to do. One of the games produced when Pinball was having its second upswing and it shows. Williams put a lot of effort into this one. Love the up and down ramps, whirlpool and bigfoot diverter as well as everything else this game has to offer. Top game!

This would be a a near-perfect game - artwork, design, shots, rules, fun, theme are as good as it gets... And I still think it belongs in the Top 10. I just wish the music was a little bit better.

That being said to me this is one of the greatest pins of all time - endlessly fun. When I went to buy one, no one - and I mean no one - wanted to give theirs up. Even at top dollar - over market. There are only a very few games in that category - and that says a lot.

This pin has amazing shots, fun ramps, and a great rule set. Should be ranked much higher.

In terms of fun, this is the pinnacle for me. 5x and mb, Wet Willie's, Vacation Jackpot for mucho points. The tempo of the music increases as you move up the river classes. Super challenging game and imo, Nordman's best game.

To me this is a top 10 pin of all times. Love the shots, music and sounds. The better you do the more it makes your heart pump. You will never see a game of such a complex mix up ramps and the upper playfield ever made again.

Amazingly fun machine with the most amazing job of theming of any pin I can think of. Of all the pinball machines in the world, Whitewater truly looks most like a miniature world - an environment created under glass. Other machines look like pinball machines, Whitewater looks like a rushing river canyon that just plays like a pinball machine. A grand achievement.

A fun, fast original theme. Played at Expo and was convinced I needed one. Easy game to understand and very fun. Not the best of the era but a solid game that gets a lot of play in my house.

A lot of hype might have been the demise for this game for me. I just don't love it... After such talk of how great it is, after about 30 games on it I wasn't feeling it

Can't connect with the theme at all which doesn't help - but doing my best to leave this aside I just don't get it. Some cool up & down ball returns that are interesting for a few games, & then boredom sets in. Maybe it's a good one for the kids, but I just don't like it - IMO a massively over-rated & downright dull game.

I love this game - only my 2nd pin after owning The Machine Bride of Pinbot... and I have to say that this is an addictive game that I enjoy, my friends enjoy, and all of their friends enjoy. It probably gets played about 20 hours a week, no exaggeration, and people just keep wanting to play it. So, with that in mind, the rules are great, the music is great and not repetitive, it has just the right balance of ramps and gadgets and gimmicks, and it has extremely strong lastability. A definite keeper and perfect for any collection... my only critique initially would have been the backglass, but I now appreciate it for the 70s camp it is... even though the game didn't come out until the 90s.

Overrated pin, Bigfoot looks like Wario covered in fur, most White Water pins are in poor shape, I like the theme and backglass, but rules and layout are subpar, cabinet is bland, the pin runs like Mater from Cars.

My grail pin which I managed to get a few months ago after a long wait and it still pays as I remember all those years ago.
Most people forget to mention the music which builds and builds as you move up the rafts.

For a long time, I didn't like this game since I didn't understand the rules at all. I never really had much game time on it since it was a game that was hard to find.

But after I got a lot of time on the digital version of the table and learned the rules, I enjoyed the real one a whole lot more.

It has a really unique layout and good (and often funny) call-outs.
