The most optioned pin that has a great theme and fun gameplay.. If you don't like TZ, you just haven't given it enough time to learn the deep ruleset. From the plunge of the ball for the skillshot, to the 2nd playfield, great use of magnets to set up shots, and the power ball fun, this game delivers and deserves to be one of the best rated games ever in my opinion.

I do not only like to play pinball but also to mod a pinball and for modding a TZ is a dream come trough. So many things can be done. So not only fun to play but also to mod.

When you start playing a TZ 1 warning, the first coup,e of games are no fun. You need to grow into the game in order to start appreciating it. So hang in and start enjoying it after a number of games and you will want to play again and again and again and ....

This will be my next pin to own. This is one of my top five pins and one I've been keeping an eye out for. Now only if they didn't dissapear in an hour or so everytime a good deal is posted.

I love the TV series & Pat Lawlor pins - but for some reason, this just doesn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun but I wouldn't purchase it for home use. Just missing 'something' that I can't put my finger on.

Certainly one of my favorite machines. The rules, sounds and theme suck you in and make for a really fun experience... PROVIDED you know the rules and understand the theme. Admittedly, playing TZ was a frustrating experience in the beginning because I did not understand the rules. Once I learned the shots and understood the objectives, this game's fun factor snapped into focus. Overall, a very well-done machine.

Twilight Zone was my first pin and I had never played it before purchase which was a gamble, but the pinside reviews were spot on. They rated this machine high on the list and nailed it.. I love "POWERBALLLLL", "GREED"....and getting in the zone is awesome. Simply a great machine.

Definitely an acquired taste, at least for me. I tend to prefer "flow" type games, which this definitely is not. Visitors typically do not enjoy playing TZ, because they have no idea what's going on. However, the complexity of the game makes it a great game for the owner in a home environment. And let's be honest, we buy these games for ourselves, not our guests.

A very difficult game to get dialed in (there's a lot of stuff to go wrong!), but pretty reliable once you finally get there.

TZ is sooo entertaining with its tons of Gadgets. I think its the best Pin you can show someone, who never played a Pin before. The gumball / Powerball or the magnets will cause an "ahhhhh cool" effect.

I have owned this game twice. There is nothing I can say that others have not already said other than this game is just a bit too easy. The second time I bought this game I traded it within a month because I was able to score a billion plus on a fairly regular basis. The magnetic flippers may be the coolest feature of all time, though.

Absolutely love this game! The multitude of shots, the depth of the gameplay, and small touches make this pin hard to walk past without one or two plays. The game can be a drain monster with the bumper kickouts and direct shots off of certain greed targets can and will send the ball down an outlane before you can blink.

While the pin can be ruthless at times, it still allows you to have games that feel like you're in complete control almost the entire time.

Gumball shots, powerball, magnets, multiple multiball modes, and crazy depth - LOVE THIS PIN!

I've only had my TZ for a couple of months now, but I feel that this is long enough to know that I feel that it is truly deserving of being near the top of any list in terms of being one of the best pins ever.

Great sounds, music, theme, and tons of shots. So much to do, hard to believe that this would get old any time soon. A true classic, great pinball machine.

Edit: after owning the pin for several months, the one thing that really bugs me about TZ (and is well known) are the drains from the pops. Very frustrating. But still a great pin.

If I watched more of TZ growing up, I'd probably get more of the images/sounds/everything. Even with my lack of TZ knowledge, I still really enjoyed the variety and action on this pin.

The ultimate game of its time where everything (rules, layout, sounds, art, etc) came together to create a pinball masterpiece. Just watch out for those deadly pop bumpers.

Hard to argue with TZ. It's obviously a great game. It has a bunch of shots and is plenty deep but honestly I feel it's a little over rated. Don't get me wrong it's a great game and my rating shows it but there are plenty machines IMO that I'd play before TZ in a perfect arcade with all of the top 100.

I think that I should probably start my ratings with the line that I have at least 20 to 100 games on the games I have rated (or in the case of TSPP, I have almost 3000 games on that one). I will not rate a game after only a few plays or playing on a machine with obvious mechanical problems. This game has probably taken more money from me that all other pins! I would drive miles out of my way in Chicago to go to the arcade the had Twilight Zone and Addams family. TZ got the majority of my money every time. Love the layout, callouts and overall challenge. I am a big fan of newer pins with the deep rules and challenges (sorry but LOTR came and went even with the deep rules, never got dragged into it) TZ is one of my favorite pins that has drawn me to it for years and years.
