Twilight Zone is pinball perfection. It's the game that began my obsession with pinball, even though I'd been playing for years prior. While most people were playing Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat back in 1993, I was off in the pinball corner plunking every quarter I had into the Twilight Zone machine. It's the only game, IMO, that gets a perfect 10. Everything about this game is perfect - the playfield layout, the game flow, the unforgiving rule set, the backglass, the theme, the music, the DMD animations. Everything about this game pays perfect homage to it's television namesake and the Lawlor designed pinball machines that came before it. I loved this machine in 1993, and I still love it today, even 19 years later.

TZ was a game that I initally hated. The game has a lot of left right movement, and some seriously cheap outlanes, especially when combined with the placement of the pop caps. However, once you get the general shot flow for the game, it is one of the most rewarding games to play. With stackable modes, challenging multiballs, and great use of magnets, this game was one of the finest machines made by WMS. Long term play you will find that getting "Lost in the Zone" is not that difficult to achieve. But just getting to the end mode doesn't always guarantee you a GC. I also enjoy the fear of tiliting, as all of the mode awards are done via bonus.

This is a classic! I remember finding this game in the arcade when it came out and played the hell out of it.
I don't know how much more I can say this table that has not been said before my little review. You can tell that when they put this table together, that a lot of love went into it. It celebrates a classic TV show from the 50's with the upmost respect and it should.
I you have not played the table yet, it is a must for any pinball fan....

Overall it's a good game for the time I guess, just not for me. After all it is a Lawlor and flow is rarely in his bag of tricks. Made myself keep one in the game room for 6 months to understand why it is great, never found that understanding. Sold it, no regrets.

this game is loaded with awesome toys. Phenomenal theme to boot. So much packed into this game. Blows the doors off 99.8% of all games out there.

Simply amazing. This machine was in our home for a month and inspired us to start buying pinball machines. While newer games draw more attention and action, this brilliant game represents a high water mark in the past decade's cycle of constant improvement. Rightly seated at the top of the pantheon.

A great game and love to play it whenever I see one. While I stink at playing it I still enjoy every moment. Fun gameplay and I can see why its always listed in most pinheads top 5.

I just don't get this one. It's so high up the TOP100, so many love it, but every time I decide to give it another go, it disappoints me. It just feels like.... a rusty old truck, especially when comparing it with more recent pins.
It is slow, almost stop-motion action, it feels rough and unpolished. And no, not all TZ's I played were old barrels ;-)

Got to play at a arcade in greensboro nc. and my expectations were met 10 fold. the look and feel along with gameplay for me puts this up to my overall favorite pin played. Intermediate skill level that i have makes this a chellenge everytime i play and begs me to keep coming back for more.

So much going on in this one. You just never tire of it. Always fun. A table you can't walk by without playing. That's saying something.
