I'm biased because this is the game I played the most as a kid. With that being said I thinking it's great. Lots of flow, easy multiball, cannon, video mode and call outs from Arnold. Simple but fun and easy to play.

This was the first pin I ever played. Used to go to the 7-Eleven and play it for hours. Combo shots between the ramps was so satisfying.

Lacks the depth of more recent games, but still a classic!

Such a nostalgic piece, T2 takes me back to actually playing a pinball machine in an arcade! I love the shotgun launcher, nothing felt more powerful as a kid than grabbing the gun and pulling the trigger!

As an adult, the critique of gameplay for the long term is what gets me. When you’re a kid, you have a handful of quarter and a short time to play; owning a game and keeping the fun factor alive is what draws me to love this game. I hope to add this to my collection one day!

Typical and nice Steve Ritchie fan layout with very good flow and speed; nice implementation of the gun as well.

Ruleset is not that deep and enables beginners to have a good time while playing.

I recommend the installation of Pinsound with OST for creating a nice atmosphere and the replacement of the cheap plastic skull with the Skull-Mod.

GET THE CPU! I owned this machine for several years and I sometimes regret letting it go. But as designers go I prefer Pat Lawlor, and as Richie games go I prefer High Speed 2. But this game was a real winner back in its day. Great tie in with the movie franchise. The gun toy is great fun. The alternating ramps are a bit monotonous but satisfying. And the intensity of the game when you make your shots is tremendously rewarding. I'll usually drop a quarter or two in whenever I encounter one of these.

"Terminator 2" looks great but is largely just 6 shots consisting of ramps and orbits. Just like Star Trek TNG, we get a cannon shot. I hate cannon shots. The only game it's tolerable in is AC/DC. It's a cheap gimmick otherwise and it never delivers the satisfaction you're supposed to get by hitting the target. The game flows easily enough and it isn't a drain monster, which is most welcome. The audio is an absolute penance to listen to. The music and audio clips sound like leftovers from the arcade lightgun game...THE GENESIS VERSION. Arnold's voice is horribly muffled to the point where you can barely understand what he's saying. Everything sounds that way. Nothing is crisp except for the awful MIDI rock score. It just feels a bit "robotic" if you'll pardon the pun.

Despite being so easy to find, this was kind of like a grail pin to me. Mine is a decent players condition game and I'll fix it up over time as I never plan to get rid of it. The T1000 mod is a must have.

This was my first pin and still have it with no plans to sell it. Its a hit when friends are over and fun pin to play that doesn't get old like some others. Everyone remembers the Terminator

Fun game, but gets very repetitive. Not for a small collection.
Dots and animations aren't that great, but for the 1st DMD it did well.

The first DMD game from Williams! I think it's a great game to be a 1991 machine. I like all the ways to score points but the 50M Super Jackpot ruins the game as it's way too high. It should have been 25M instead

Always gets played the most of any pin in my collection. Every friend and neighbors always want to play it first. That says it all. I played this game for hours on end and it never gets old. The first with the motorized gun. I'll never part with mine. I consider it the gold standard in pinball machines.

I played this game at the Barcade in Brooklyn. I enjoyed it, but it definitely didn't blow me away like the standard T2 arcade shooter does. I felt that the game played a bit slow, though the play was about what I would expect for a pin of its age. I can definitely say I will look to play it again the next time I see it, but this isn't a game that I could play repetitively if it were readily available to me to play.

All my reviews are going to follow a simple formula for those reading.
Number of shots to make - Pro's - Con's - Must Have Mods - What To Look For When Buying

Number of shots - 6 - average

Pro's:
* The cannon at the time was the coolest toy in all of pinball and it still the main attraction of this game
* Flow of the shots the right orbit is particularly fast try hitting it twice in a row
* Considered first Fan Layout game easy to pickup and play
* Hitting Super Jackpot a good challenge
* Arnie doing the callouts, get the swear roms

Cons:
* It's shallow, get multiball and super jackpot or reach payback time
* Music should have included "You Could Be Mine"
* Weak animations being an early DMD, Williams' first one I believe (Don't get a color dmd)

Must Have Mods: (Note I will not include things like LED's, Color DMD, Invisiglass or Speaker Upgrades unless it's really badly needed)
* T-1000 mod for on top of middle targets
* LED eyes for skull
* Upgraded Hunter Killer Ship
* Shooter plate cover

What To Look For When Buying
* Cabinet fade
* Worn out chrome on gun handle
* Broken skull

Fast game with smooth ramps, great theme and artwork. Thanks Arnie for lending your voice to this title. Cannon is one of the best toys in pinball. Good for a larger collection as game can get repetitive.

A very fun game. Especially if you like the movie. Playing with Pinsound, with the haunting soundtrack music, really does make the game better. Brings me back to the ERA. One of the best theme integrations ever. For the time, it was very cool. The shots are smooth and this is a good game to introduce folks into before getting into super deep games that follow a few years later.

I always play one of these when I see it.

Great machine and one the definitely draws the eye and attention of new players. Was probably the machine that first got me interested in pinball, but one that when my skills improved I tired of. Great pin but not one for the smaller collection.

Terminator 2 Pinball has one of the best themes ever. While the gameplay is rather simplistic, the shots and ramps all feel right on and accessible. The lighting is fantastic, especially with the placement of the flashers. I always thought it a little odd with the translight, with Arnold in all three head shots. What about Robert Patrick and the T1000? Or Linda Hamilton? This machine is a blast to play and keeps you wanting to play just one more game.

For an older game that is no where near as flashy as these newer pins, T2 still holds its ground. Great theme, Arnold's callouts and Ritchie's flow make for a classic. By no means the deepest game, but still impressive for a pin from 1991.

The first pinball machine I bought, back in 2006. Never going to sell. Still enjoy it. Great theme. Changed all lights for LED in 2018.

T2 is a classic, it was my 2nd pin and sometimes i miss it.
Great layout, fast and fun. Locking balls for jackpots is a great idea.
If i have the choice i prefer to play a T2 than a boring TOTAN or TOM.

I really really wanted to like this game. I really did... I almost bought one before even playing it. Thank god I did play it, I played it a lot just to figure out why I didn't like it as much. The shots and play-field just felt and looked hollow. I don't know. This was a miss for me guys. I just had to share my 2 cents.
