A rather boring game. Kind of fun to play every once in a while, but really lacking in rules depth and lastability.

One of those games that requires some time investment to truly enjoy what it has to offer. Flow is great, one of the most beautiful games out there, and the rule set is challenging but achievable. Great game!

Almost didn't play this one when I passed by it, but I always hear such great things. Had a ton of fun playing it, not sure that the cost justifies ownership but I really like the game itself.

I love just about everything about this table... some of that probably has to do with the fact that I loved Aladdin so much when I was younger. The look of this table, the sounds, the way it plays -- fantastic. It's a table that has a somewhat deep but easy to understand ruleset, and I like the ability to choose what you want when you light Make a Wish. I'm still not sure if the best way to go about getting a score on this game is to constantly get jewels to save the princess or to maximize your bonus, but either way, this is a table that plays great, even though the genie battle that happens is far too easy to complete for the 20m points. I don't really have any complaints about this table, it's just rewarding to play and a whole lot of fun. Again, Pinside gets it right, this is one of the best tables out there.

This machine was frustrating. I need to play few times just to see what was were and follow shooting skills. Love the theme and animation, but was too busy at times.

Beautiful table and great theme but Arabian Nights isn't a favourite of mine.
Not a whole lot of variety and there's hardly any chances for real big scoring shots.
It is gorgeous though and would look superb in any home collection.

I was finally able to add this machine to my collection. It is a great game, fun for the whole family. There are so many cool aspects and shots to the pin and the flow is just great. This is a hard to find game and for good reason I highly recommend if you can find one do it and do it quick.

Not much that I can add here. Fun game. If you see it, play it.

Solid game! A top 10 pin in my opinion. Art work is fantastic! The spinning magic lamp and genie are great play field gimmicks. Nothing not to like but sometimes shots don't flow and ball is just sort of bouncing around. Very minor, love this machine.

Instant classic. Great game, i enjoyed the layout. I felt rules were a bit easy, not sure if settings can be changed since only played it at local arcade but i felt like gems were super easy to get from bazaar shot. That being said, the introduction sound to the skill shot when first starting a game really engages the player and gets them into the theme.

An absolutely gorgeous game that falls flat on its face in the gameplay department. There aren't enough shots that matter.

In a tournament, it becomes a one-note pony very quickly.

There's a strong argument that this should be a Top Five game... The theming, artwork, music, game design and play are superb.

another "pretty" JPOP pin that takes art and pinball functionality into a silverball journey on a magic carpet defeating the genie while awarding points

Beautiful machine , but the game is very difficult to complete . The genius and the magic lamp are really cool details of this machine that has a single game.

I really enjoy this game, and can play it over and over. I like the sound and the metal spike "save" from the outlanes is a nice touch. This is a game I wouldn't mind having in my collection some day.

Too easy to beat, music is kind of cheesy, not a terrible game but just not for me. Gets too redundant. Kind of lame it's ranked so high, I guess it was one of the better all time games but I beat it so many times I could care less if I ever own it.

I"ll regret giving this game such high marks (since I haven't snagged mine yet), but as a true fan of the engineering and artists that craft these, I can't do any less. This game is one of a handful I'd truly call a masterpiece. It takes a theme and uses it as a foundation, from skill shot to artwork, and even lore and music. Speaking of music, this game delivers, arguably, the BEST soundtrack in pinball. Instrument sounds, clarity of tones, overtures and keys with Persian flair. When the sound on this game is cranked it will draw a crowd every time. Cool toys, stunning art, what more is there to say? There are newer games with better tech, but Totan will remain one of the TRUE classics.

This is definitely my favourite pinball game.

Pros:
- beautiful artwork
- excellent theme choice, the aforementioned artwork really brings out the magic of the tales of the Arabian nights
- good playability, each tale puts you on a mission that blends fantastically with the overall theme of the game, and they don't get boring
- great game for both experts and novices; experts will complete the tales and rescue the princess; novices will still have a lot of fun spinning the lamp and getting multiballs (easy multiball on TOTAN)
- wonderful toys (in my opinion the genie is one of the best toys on a pinball game, second only to the gumball machine on Twilight Zone)
- remarkable illumination and colours, really help to bring the motive of the game out

Cons:
- some sounds could be better (slingshot sword-clash sound annoys me)
- some issues with the ball (although this does depend a lot on the angle of the game), can fall off ramps and get thrown around the playfield (i.e. shooting stars throwing the ball up)
- despite having wonderful toys, the game could have a few more toys
- "silver" legs, siderails and lockdown bar, looks much better in "gold"

Typical JPOP game. Layout, art, feel are all top notch. Replay ability and depth of rules are just not there for the games to stay in a collection.

Very nice artwork, good action and superb game flow, decent sound, ramps and a good number of toys make this a very fun pinball. The PF is a bit busy but other than that everything fits together nicely.
The overall game play is strong and the artwork is above average. I really liked this machine, too bad I only get to play it once a year at APE.
It's a bit on the pricey side but I hope this machine will find its way into my collection some day.

This game is one of those games that I must have. Not many people sell theirs once they have it. Very fun and cool toys, great animations and sounds. It's underrated in my opinion.
