Update instructions - Games connected to Stern Insider Connected:
1 - Open the coin door and press the black/enter button to enter Test Mode.
2 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate to the Stern Insider
Connected Setup menu.
3 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate down to the Software Update
menu.
4 - If a software update is available, this page will give you the option to
download and install it manually. From this menu you can also select to
install these updates automatically.
Update instructions - All Games:
1 - Download the zip file
2 - Unzip the file, this will create a folder that contains SPK file(s).
3 - Open the folder, copy the file(s) to the root level of a
USB stick. (Do not copy the folder.)
4 - Power game off
5 - Insert USB stick
6 - Turn on game
7 - After game boots up it will give the option for software update
8 - Volume buttons change options for full or quick update. Enter selects the
option and starts the update.
9 - Once update is completed game will prompt user to power game off and
remove USB stick.

Note: Due to changes affecting scoring in this release, the Rush pinball
development team recommends that operators reset high scores by going
to UTIL -> RESET -> GC, and UTIL -> RESET -> HSTD.
Fixed:
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to start a mode during a multiball.
- Fixed spelling of "SYRINX" in some game award messages.
Tweaked:
- Bonus:
- Changed Bonus scoring to award a fixed score per modes won instead of
a portion of the points earned during that mode.
- Cygnus X-1: Book II - The Voyage:
- Changed Cygnus X-1: Book II to calculate jackpot scores based on mode
scoring totals up to a maximum value of 200 million points earned per mode.
- Records:
- Changed the default rules for WILDCARD records:
- WILDCARD RECORD BEHAVIOR defaults to MODE COMPLETE + HOLD:
- Wildcard records are only earned when a mode is completed, they
will be placed on a shot and held for the rest of the game or until
2112 Wizard Mode is completed.
- MAX SHOT MULTIPLIER defaults to 2:
- WILDCARD records will always award 2x shot values.
- MAX SHOT MULTIPLIER also affects the matching record bonus.

of 10 years per game. If all years have been awarded, adds up to 5 hits
toward the next Time Machine multiball.
- FRENZY - 60 second switch frenzy mode. Each switch hit awards 10,000 +
(50 per topper switch closure this ball.)
- Added TOPPER FRENZY CHAMPION high score entry.
- Added CONCERT MODE:
- CONCERT MODE is a new gameplay option that delivers a concert-like
gameplay experience with minimal interruptions to the hours of live RUSH
concert footage on the LCD display.
- CONCERT MODE is selectable from the Game Mode Menu which can be accessed
by holding in both flipper buttons prior to starting a game.

- Corrected potential game reset issue.
- When entering a WiFi password, the previous characters will be displayed as an asterisk.
- The WiFi password will be displayed as all asterisk when entering the setup screens or scanning
- the WiFi setup QR code.
- Added Service Menu Tech Alert when weak signal strength is detected. The signal strength
- and SSID will be displayed. An average signal strength < 40 is considered weak. A weak
- WiFi signal may contribute to a slower or inconsistent connection which may effect the abilty
- to login or download software updates. Signal strength can be improved by the use of an
- inexpensive WiFi extender. A wired Ethernet connection can also be used in cases where WiFi
- signals are problematic.
- Added Standard Adjustment "ENABLE HOME TEAM IN COINPLAY", default value of NO.
- Setting this to YES will allow Insider Home Team to be available for machines not
- set to Free Play. Normally "USE INSIDER HOME TEAM" is only available in Free Play
- mode. Many home players, who choose to use their game in Coin Play, have requested
- the ability to enjoy Home Team! Setting this this adjustment to YES will default the Home
- Team Guest Retention to Never. If you wish a different setting you will have update that
- adjustment after enabling Home Team in CoinPlay. Home Team is not available for machines
- registered to a Pro account operating in a commercial environment.
- Added Standard Adjustment "REMOVE FRACTIONAL CREDITS". Values are:
- "NEVER" and "AFTER X MINUTES IDLE", where X is between 30 and 240.
- The default value is "NEVER". If the game is idle (no coin or flipper
- switch activity in attract mode) for X minutes, any fractional credits will
- be removed. Whole credits will NOT be removed.
- Added Standard Audit "FRACTIONAL CREDITS REMOVED", which will track the number of
- fractional credits that have been removed when the game was idle.
- Changed the default value for Insider Connected Software Update to "Install updates automatically".

Tweaked:
- Time Machine Magnet:
- Added logic to tilt to clear any balls that were being held in the magnet.
- Changed the default magnet adjustments to improve magnet thermal
performance over time.
- Time Machine Lift Ramp:
- Improved the performance of the Time Machine lift ramp.
- Time Machine Awards:
- Changed the Time Machine award logic when wizard mode was lit to only
award the wizard mode.
- Added UI info to inform players of Time Machine year upgrades that are
lit.
- Year Awards:
- Changed Far Cry Super Jackpots to only give +5 years for perfect jackpots.
- Changed Time Machine multiball year maximums to 5 years each.
- Headlong Flight Multiball:
- Changed the Headlong Flight multiball right ramp mega jackpot award to
also award the current clock hours * 2 * 1 million points. If the mega
ultra jackpot is collected at the side ramp, the scoring is current clock
hours * 4 * 1 million points.
- Fly By Night Multiball:
- Improved Fly By Night jackpot shot logic when a super jackpot was made.
- Far Cry Multiball:
- Improved Far Cry lock choreography for Far Cry virtual locks.
- Improved background light show for Far Cry locks.
- Freewill Multiball:
- Changed the starting jackpot boost for subsequent Freewill Multiballs to
+750k (was +250k.)
- Increased the boost for scoring each Freewill jackpot to 250k (was 100k.)
- Added a maximum of 3 add-a-balls.
- Changed the 2x Lock Timer + Add-a-ball to only increase by 1 shot (was 2.)
- Limelight mode:
- Added a rule that resets the Limelight timer to 5 seconds when the player
hit a Limelight shot with fewer than 5 seconds remaining.
- Boosted scoring when a player hits the time machine and returns to the
Limelight.
- The Spirit of Radio mode:
- Changed the mode rules so the Radio Jackpot no longer starts lit. The
radio jackpot can now be lit by shooting any radio wave shot. Shooting
radio wave shots stacks the number of Radio Jackpots available at the dead
end shot.
- Changed the radio wave shots to fade until it can no longer be shot
during the mode. Each radio wave shot fully fades after 5 shots.
- La Villa Strangiato mode:
- Improved the handling of the La Villa Strangiato combo timer grace period
in restoring a player's combo.
- Wildcard Records:
- Removed the ability for a player to place unplaced wildcard records on
their next ball.
- Bonus:
- Prevented Bonus X from advancing during challenge modes.
- Song Select:
- Modified the Song Select logic when the SONG SELECT EVERY BALL adjustment
is set to NO so the background music will continue where it left off on the
previous ball.
- Instant Info:
- Added a Time Machine years page to Instant Info.
