Hawaii Pinball Quest part 1

I was sent to Hawaii for training for a few weeks in the middle of winter. God Bless the Army. Anyway, a week into the trip I was starting to suffer from pinwithdrawal. Neither Dave and Busters or Chuckee Cheeses had any and I was having trouble even finding arcades, let alone pins. So the guys and I decided to hit the beach at Waikiki at the Hale Koa hotel and sitting there next to the pool was an arcade with an honest to goodness Starship Troopers pinball machine. I forgot about the pool and beach and went to some pinball. I was excited since I hadn't played ST before. Excitement quickly turned to disappointment and frustration as this machine was suffering from some serious neglect. The right flipper, auto plunger and orbit rollover switches didn't work. Thankfully the machine has a second right mini flipper which made the game at least partly playable. I was able to eek out 6 games for my dollar before quitting. Unfortunately, instead of satisfying my craving, it just made me want to play more, any (working) pinball. I resolved to make it my mission to find the hidden Hawaian pinball machines.

Thats what I have found as well. When you CAN find a machine on location somewhere, particularly an older machine, its in piss poor shape. I wonder if 'DOG the bounty hunter' played pinball in Hawaii there! heh...
