The first few times I played this pin it was very fun but unfortunately the novelty wore off quickly. The technology had potential but just not in this setup. I don't like the fact that there were no "long" shots. To me that is part of the thrill, getting the ball at the right angle and speed to jet it up the ramps but that is pretty non existent. The ramps on the sides are short and the ball disappears behind the video section. I have always been open minded about integrating new technologies in pins but I didn't like this at all.

Seems Pin2000's are either loved or hated. I personally enjoy them however I'd rathe rplay RFM. I'm a huge SW fan and still have my action figures from when I was kid. I like this game but not enough to own one. The game play is fun and will keep people entertained but longevity ...nah it falls flat.
This game just doesn't have the wow factor as it's brother RFM. Like it's brother I dislike the simple fact the mirror reflection blocks the ball sometimes. I find over time my brain can ignore it most of the time however most people get annoyed relatively quick and are quick to turn their nose up at it. It's an affordable game and worth playing but IMHO not worth adding to your collection.

First time playing a pinball 2000. The video is a cool idea and the modes are awesome. I just hate the location of the monitor. Not being able to see the back portion of the playfield still annoys me to no end. This particular machine had no rules so I had no idea what to shoot or when. That being said, the game was very simple to play. Shots were pretty much straight forward without much skill necessary. Game seems to rely on the video modes for variety but I want a pinball not video game. Good things, this game doesn't seem to drain down the sides much, most drains were straight down the middle if you missed the center ramp(?) shot. Kinda got bored of this one quickly. Wouldn't want this in my collection.

Amazingly ambitious, but I just can't get into it. I hate how the ball vanishes behind the screen and how I have no idea what's even back there. Not to mention the movie was so aweful that I don't care about the elements taken from it to produce the challenges in the pin.

I think this is a great addition to any collection. You can't go wrong with one of these.
Update: game lacks lastability and even becomes boring after a short time. (yes I know everything is boring after a while) When you have a few in your collection, and one sits off to the side for a long time without anyone wanting to play it, time to rotate! I really wanted to keep this in the collection as an example of the pinball 2000 style, but couldn't hold onto one of the spots in my line up. Replaced with CFTBL!

I enjoyed playing this pin, excellent combination of video and pinball, it works very well. The theme and licence is one of the best, the playfield lighting could be better, limited shots, targets, great playabilty - no hesitation in feeding it more money.

I own this and the DataEast SW pin...and it may be heresy, but I like this one best. Episode 1 is probably the weakest SW movie and this is the last of the Williams machines...both of these factors probably hurt its ratings. I think that might be fair, since enjoyment is really and emotional decision and the negative feelings towards this pin are understandable. That said, I love it!

When you first step to this machine it has a great WOW factor, but the gameplay doesn't quite match it over time. It's pretty fun for a few games, but after a while it feels a little repetitive.

This is a game that you probably wouldn't hesitate to drop a few quarters into as you passed by, but it would probably get a little old in your collection after a while. It makes great use of the Star Wars theme, but this one might have been better served with some more gameplay variety.

Very pretty game, played it for a few minutes in a room full of others, and didn't give it much thought.

I Acquired this machine in mint condition and have to say its excellent. I am amazed People hate this machine. It is credited with bankrupting Williams ( I think Bally did that ), and is touted as a corruption of pinball due to the display. Reality is its way ahead of its time and an extremely fun game to play along with my Revenge from Mars. The Pinball 2000 concept merges computer video onto the playfield , this works very well. The game is criticised as being shoot only middle but actually its varied as it has 13 modes. Its a easier game than revenge but that means you get long games ( 20 to 30 minutes is a norm ) and it gets harder, the longer you play. 4 modes and you get to Jedi battle and you have to do that 4 times to win, I have been playing a week and have only got halfway through ( Jedi Master ). Its also a great party machine and what everyones plays as its great for beginners and experienced players.

Theme is ok, sounds good but this game is soo boring and tedious. There are no real nice shots to make. Just the center and 2 ramps. That’s basically it. Multiball is almost impossible to start, since shooting the right lock saucer is almost pure luck.
Play 1 game, maybe 2 and move on to a JJP or recent Stern or Spooky. And try a pinball Brothers Alien remake.
