Roto target games can be a pain, and Spin Out is no exception. Keep it up top all day.

Great theme! But thats about it for me. Rotor spinner is neat but if thats all it really has then its not a keeper for me! Love the old racing theme! Colours are nice! Wedgie is always cool!

A popular Gottlieb wedgehead title, but overall, I'm not impressed with gameplay. Perhaps I'm just not a fan of roto-target games--Gottlieb did a much better game of employing them on their two-inch flipper games of the 60s. The game invites you to shoot for the middle roto and saucer, which is unbelievably dangerous and will send your ball into peril if not shot carefully. A decent colourful art package, and one of the best cabinet stencils going. Lots of flash, great theme, but not in the top tier of wedgeheads of the 70s.

I just love this machine & its gameplay. As a revhead from wayback perhaps I am biaised but this game has great appeal from the cab, the bg & the playfield. It has a simple ruleset x2 but it is appealing & for me I just keep on coming back for more. If you achieve the elusive 7 numbers the pop pop pop from the knocker is electrifying.

A roto-target coming back in the age of the drops. It's not very sophisticated and ignores any roto-target development after Buckaroo. But unlike the original you get 3" flippers and an Italian bottom. Now you can easily make the shots yor father was dreaming of when he played in front of the bucked cow hand.

The machine has an amazing glow with the lighting and colors working really well together. The scoring is very random and it is really easy to roll the score. Overall excellent theme and art with only decent game play.

I don't think I have ever said this before about a Gottlieb Wedgehead., but... damn... this game is BORING!

The Pros:
The cab stencils are cool. Roto-targets are always a hoot to shoot.

The Cons:
Don't get me started.

The Takeaway:
I can't believe it's a game by Master K. His batting average still puts him in the Hall of fame. But this game strikes out on so many levels.

No sir, I don't like it. - Mr. Horse.

Update:
You know when you are happy to be wrong. I am happy to be wrong about this game. I got to play a really nice copy courtesy of Donavan Stepp over at The Cuckoo's Nest here in Denver. This table is all about the 4 lanes at the top of the PF. Light them up and light the inlanes and the sidelanes on the pf for big points. I stay away from the roto. You can go for the 4 in a row roto target number seq for a special, but the points are all about getting the top lanes lit and squeezing the ball into the top arch from the sides whenever possible. There are points to be had in the pops, but nothing adds up like a 4-5k shot from a lit yellow lane. Can you make points from the center saucer, yes. Do you want to go anywhere near it with the gaping maw between the flippers waiting for you? NOPE! An incredibly simple game that will always challenge you with your aim an nudging skills. This table seems to be an all or nothing affair. Keeps you coming back when it spanks ya. Scores updated and increased accordingly.

I love being wrong like this.

An old game for it's time. Designed with ideas stolen from a decade prior to it's release this game disappoints on many aspects. The game play bland, the design stale and the artwork very average. A poor game which has limited shots and variety of play. Not one I could be drawn to playing over and over again. Thumbs down on this from me.

Beautiful all around and a real blast to play over and over - watch for that elusive spin roto #4 !!! light up the a,b,c,d rollovers and rack up points on the side roll overs too! Great fun hitting all the roto digits and cracking off free games!!! another brillian GTB Wedge!!
