Stern's best pin so far.
Even when it is quite a rip-off of AFM.

Still planning to buy one.

Side note: I still can't stand the movie scenes in the DMD.

After a string of solid games for Stern (T3, Elvis, & WPT), Steve Ritchie knocks it out of the park with this game! Steves' best design since STTNG. Arguably, Stern's best. Solid artwork, killer light show (sync'd with theme song), entertaining VOX by JK Simmons (JJ Jonah Jameson), killer toys (Doc Ock magnet), DMD movie clips, various modes, & trademark "Steve Ritchie flow". Tons of amazing shots! Spider-Sense shot for advanced players "feels right", Venom shot is a rush (feels like STTNG's Delta Quadrant shot), & Sandman shot is reminiscent of AFM's mothership shot! You will get a rush doing the T2-esque back-to-back ramp shots with an accompanying Tobey Mcguire "WOOHOO". Game ruleset is novice-friendly, but also deep enough for advanced players. The music? Wow! David Theil's audio work in SM is some of the best. It simply rocks! You will want to listen to Sandman's theme on your IPOD, well after playing. SM, FG, TSPP, LOTR, BDK, and the recently updated AC/DC are Sterns' elite. SM is a must-own game!

Love this game. Music rocks. Artwork and light show are great and it has some funny quotes. I like how there are multiple quotes for the same shot so you don't hear the same thing over and over. The DMD animations could be better as they are very muddled. Some just look like a blob and I have no idea what they are supposed to show. At least you can skip them by hitting both buttons. It is pretty fast and I love the flow. Toys look nice and there are some great aftermarket stuff. Shaker is a must and well integrated. Think the magnet could have been better used. Not a lot of difficult shots but this is not a stop and shoot game. Rule set is good but not as deep as LOTR and TSPP. Defeating the villains is simple and straight forward but there is more to the game than it seems at first glance. Finally was able to buy one, YEAH!

It's still my favourite Stern by a wide margin. The art works well with the theme and it doesn't look too cheap. The lengthy digitised clips on the DMD annoy me - actual animations would have been better and less disruptive to play. I prefer my AFM for the quality but I still enjoyed this on location. I remember watching kids walk away from one, because they had no concept of a special or a match. In fact they didn't even know about the credit knocker. Times have changed.... ;)

Spiderman will become a classic. The game play is fantastic, lighting rules, playfield layout are all stellar. This game easily runs with Twilight zone, Medieval Madness, Theatre of magic or any of the great Bally/Williams games.

First time I have ever changed a rating. Picked one of these up for my collection and all I can say is. I am glad I did, this is an amazing pinball machine, pure fun. Some of the best sound I've ever heard in a pin as well. Fits the theme perfectly and my favorite Stern to date. Sorry I took sol long to warm up to you spidey.

Updating the software is a must for this pin. It has a great flow and keeps you coming back for more. I am very impressed. The playfield layout is impeccable! It has been my only pin for a while and I love it the more I play it. This is the pin that I compare the rest to. It's just flat out fun.

Although I have rated this machine highly, I would not part with much money for it, it really does feel cheap and flimsy next to a BALLY - WILLIAMS pin, , when you hit something on a BLY-WMS it goes thud!!, when you hit something on a STERN it goes ping!!, it reminded me of this toy pin I purchased my daughter for xmas, so even though it is a wicked game it does not feel right, it's a bit like wearing a condom, if you have to you will but given the choice you would'nt, WILLIAMS PLEASE COME BACK!!

When over 30 years you read comics book and you buy Spiderman pinball with lot of light,very nice cab,funny game play but rule are very complexe for notting

Very good pin, but if you are good enough to somewhat master it every game starts to feel the same...it feels linear even though it really isn't. Loved it while I owned it, but wasn't sad to see it go.

This game looks really great and the backglass is beautiful. I guess it's a wonderful machine for Spidey fans. I found it to be too gimicky though. An OK machine.

I really did not like this one that much....like i said for TSPP (the simpsons pinball party) I don't really prefer Stern machines much. Overall only ok.

WOW! Fantastic pinball machine.EXTREMLY FUN.I love the flow.The lighting is great,music,sound and artwork are great.Easy game to learn and challenging game to master,I will be working on that for a while.The best and most fun pinball I have ever played.Like Will said in the movie Independence Day "i got to have 0ne of these".my all time favorite game.My Wife and I played this game for 2 hours straight on 2 different occasions, we could not get enough of it!
