One of the best data east games in my opinion

Royal rumble may have flaws (repetitive call outs and music, rules that could have been better...) but I would not mind owning it! Excellente theme integration, good PF layout for a widebody and a fully playable upper playfield.

Was my first DMD, not a bad game, but not a great one either.
Not a lot of flow and rule set is a bit simple.
Can't believe there are no wrestling figures on the playfield.
Bit of fun, but wears thin quickly... Ohhh Yeahh !

When you are a Wrestling Fan it's a Must Have Pin. When you not Play a few Games and See that this Game is absolutly Fun. Shaker, Mini Playfield, Widebody. Good Sounds, good Flow. Great Game and for me a Keeper. ""What you gonna do Brother when Royal Rumble Pinball runs wild on You!!??? ""

It's the doomed red-shirt himself.

Pros:
- NO... NO!... NOOOOOOO!
- Negative reception towards the game led to different games being awarded to A Division victors in future Pinball Expos.
- Good for spare parts.

Cons:
- Most insulting first place prize in pinball history.
- Terrible sounds... all I can hear is "YAH!"
- Shoot the ball up to the upper playfield to make the game never end!
- No flow at all.
- Rules are terrible for experienced pinball players.

Great game and some tricky little shots, nice long ramp shot on the left, good mini playfield adds a good touch, I like the playfield art it should be rated higher in the top 100, but I believe its due to the theme although I love it, (awesome nostalgia if your a wwf/wwe fan).

Very fun pin. Obviously, a take it or leave it theme but I think it would be fun to mod, what with all of the WWE figures available these days. A good variety of ramps, and I especially like the one in front. Very good flow. Sound is good, but the sound of Macho Man saying "YEAH" every five seconds would wear on my nerves after a while. All in all, a solid, fun pin and a good bang for the buck in a not-very-desired-game.

Not the game for me! Theme ruins it as it doesn't really have much relevence where I am from. Not a bad release but if you don't like wrestling it is very hard to look past the theme on this one.

Fun data east widebody. Cool mini upper playfield, lots of modes, unique multiball. Has a shaker motor decent art. Not a wrestling fan so theme drug this one down for me and play was a little slower being a heavy widebody.

WWF is a fun game by Data East with its shaker motor and cool layout. it's waaaaaay more fun than that new abortion that is Wrestlefailure by Stern, god who decided to release that steaming turd anyway?

this game has two side areas (i think it might be a widebody?) both of which are put to good use. the upper playfield has basically the same thing as the ACDC underground playfield, done 20 years earlier so there's targets and loops and a saucer as well. this game has plenty to aim for, and it also has some good memorable soundbites - oooooohhh yeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhh!!

A surprisingly fun and well made Data East game. Really high quality in comparison to most of their pins, putting it right up there with the Bally/Williams games of the same time frame but man-o-man does the theme drag this down. You want to look at greased up half-naked musclemen all day, then this is your game. There is a lot of nostalgia in this, as if you are a wrestling fan you've got a lot of the great characters from the "sport" (we all know its not a sport, although it takes talent and a high degree of athleticism and acting ability to be great at wrestling and heavens' knows these guys sacrificed their health to be good at it) so if you're a wrestling person this is your game. Otherwise I'd say it would make a great base for a custom re-theme. If you could find parts.

This game is a lot of fun. I think it's underrated. There are a ton of shots and playfield is very well laid out. Audio "oh yeah" from Macho Man gets old, but game overall is well worth putting up with that. I plan to own this game for a long time.

Great fun wwf pin, awesome call outs from macho plus wrestlers theme music, true nostalgia pin, although would have been better if it was the prototype version with warrior etc

I am not a Wrestling but I love this pin. Widebody DE with a shaker which feels like an earthquake going off! Two ramps, two scoops, a VUK, a mini-playfield and 6 ball multi-ball makes me wonder why this pin isin't higher in the rankings. The cabinet art is some of the worse I've seen but I like the hand drawn art on the playfield.

First pin I've bought...Absolutely love it! Will preface by saying that I am a huge wrestling fan; grew up watching WWF in 80's and 90's and still watch every payperview till today.

The pin is fun, fast, and has a lot of variety in shot types; I love the wide-body, rumble, alternate translite, have it pimped out with pinball pro sound and the sound effects and wrestlers' intro music are pretty much perfect, except for Bret Hart's, more of a remix on his track, but still awesome to listen to.

Super fun pin, and one that I will keep forever, I could see how it wouldn't appeal to wrestling fans, but isn't that the case with pretty much any licensed pin?

I own this machine, it's pretty fun. Getting the 6 ball multi is a challenge. Try setting the table high in the back and drains city..

This title can be very fun and takes you back to the days when Wrestling was worth watching. The six ball Royal Rumble Multiball is very challenging to accomplish and it also has a nice upper playfield. I really Think some of the other wrestlers should of had more speech lines as most of the time I hear Randy Savage, Vince Mcmahon and Hulk hogan. I have customized mine and got it signed on the translite and apron by most of the wrestlers who have not passed away that are in the game. I rate this title high because you get plenty of good gameplay and it is very affordable compared to other machines

Some people love WWF. They think it's a diamond buried under a bad theme. That may be true for some, but I just didn't like it. Here's why:

1. I'll start with the theme. I don't like WWF, but I especially struggle with buying a game covered in half-naked dudes. Sorry, but having to stare at Macho Man in a pink spandex top just doesn't help me rate this game well.
2. I didn't care for the layout of the shots. The center ramp is way too close to the flippers in my opinion, and both it and the left ramp drain right away if you don't make it all the way up the thing. While the mini PF was super cool in it's time, it feels ultra gimmicky to me, and doesn't feel like it truly serves a purpose to the scoring.
3. The call-outs get pretty annoying. Macho Man yelling "yeah" over and over again...
4. It's a DE. I don't mind some DE (like Star Wars), but I thought the game just felt cheap. It's nowhere near the build quality as a Williams/Bally IMO.
5. Lighting was nowhere near as good as a solid Williams/Bally from that era (or even the era preceding DMD).

There are some cool innovations with the game like the "Tap" button which requires you to take your hand off of a flipper and hit tap as many times as possible to score bonus points, or the fact that you get penalized for cradling the ball when certain shots are required (that is seriously cool), but I can't see myself ever buying this one. If you dig late 80s WWF, it may be awesome for you. But if you don't like wrestling, and are looking for that diamond under a poor theme, I'd look elsewhere.

Fun game with shots all over the board. Played a few times and there seems to be many modes in this one for the era. Middle ramp could become boring over time if you get used to hitting it.

Grew up watching the wrestling so the theme sits well with me.
Some call outs can become annoying and over used and the overall gameplay is lacking imo.

This pin was the pin that got me into pinball. There are so many mods to go into and it is a pretty deep game for gameplay. I enjoy this pin because I grew up watching some of these guys wrestle on tv. I believe this is a very under rated pin. The feature I love to strive for is hitting the lock ball and hearing HULK shout "MMMIIIILLLIIIOOONNNN".... very cool game and the upper play field is awesome as well. extremely under rated pin

Games last forever, not a real challenge. I'm a wrestling fan and this game got boring and the sounds annoying.

Underrated flow in my opinion. There are shots for days in this game.

Pros:
- Great flow
- Multiple modes to play through
- Awesome "rumble" multiball
- WWF themes and sounds from many wrestlers and Vince himself
- Getting to wizard mode is a challenge
- Good implementation of shaker motor

Cons:
- Hard to find replacement parts
- Modes can be timed out
- Secret Co-op Rumble mode that no one can figure out how to access

One of DE's better pins behind TFTC and GNR, but once you play, you'll like it (whether you like the theme or not)

Not a wrestling fan and almost let that stop me from buying the game.
I am so glad I did not let that stop me from getting the game.
This game has all the bells and whistles that you want in a good pinball machine.
