Noteworthy features

  • no upper level ramps, however it has many great features.
  • Making the best out of the play field space.
  • Also has mini play field uper left side of play field, a shoot loops, and large number of targets to shoot for. very busy game
  • the lighting effects are great, and the sound effects for this game are second to none for this era. very fun sounding

Trivia

  • A conversion kit for Rock (Gottlieb 1985). New backglass art and three new sound roms of digitally-synced music (still no speech) were added.
  • Also some conversions had new cabinet artwork.
  • Information from designer John Trudeau, indicating that not all 'Rock Encore' games were conversion kits, posted on IPDB (Internet Pinball Machine Database)
  • I was rolling through the website and suddenly realized that the pictures of "Rock Encore" are only of the converted "Rock" game. There is an entirely dedicated cabinet for the "Encore" edition with different side art out there somewhere. I don't recall how many of these were produced, probably a few hundred. If I had a picture of one I'd gladly share it. As I recall, It was a black base paint with squiggly lines and small geometric shapes of different colors (pastels) scattered over the entire cabinet, like confetti thrown in the air.

Backbox ornament(s)
