very neat&addicting pin...lots of fun shots/modes...very cool features include...(1) ramp that jumps over the playfield...(2) distractingly bright ED-209 million point shot mode...

Gotta give this one at least a little credit (no pun intended - see below). Very cool theme to a guy like me. Callouts are pretty much spot on, and I like how terrible they sound; it fits somehow. "I'd buy that for a dollar!" isn't accurate though because I don't actually want to spend the dollar to play it, but if I walk up and it does have a credit on it, I will definitely have some fun. A good amount actually, but it's the type of fun you have like when you watch a bad movie on purpose to make fun of it. Hitting that jump ramp does feel great, and it's hilarious that that's one of the inspirations for Jack Danger's JP home pin, but... there's not much else good to say about it.

What's not to Love about Robocop.
Love the Film.
Great callouts, whilst not a deep ruleset it's just fun to play.

Game I love but also think it's generally kind of bland and overly simple. Even then, it's just a fun shooter that is super easy, the targets are all so easy and the game rules don't have much going on. It feels a bit old school, but as a fan of the theme, it's fun to just have so much sirens and gun fire constantly going. As with lot of Data East titles, this has some seriously bad artwork and visuals all around. Just everything is so cheap looking, poor art that lacks the movie's grit, and theres just not much there in general, lot of dead space. Despite the negativity, I love playing it cause it is just easy fun shooter that you can not think much about it, wrack up lots of points.

This is one of my all time favorites and a near perfect game. I am a little biased because I own it and I love the movie, but I genuinely think it's one of the most underrated games. The SFX, music, and one liners from the movie are perfect and never get old. The rules and layout are very easy to follow. The multi-ball is very challenging and very rewarding. It is one of a few games with a jump shot and one of the most satisfying shots to make.

The back-glass art is stunning. The playfield art for me is solid but could be improved (a little sparse and informational). Not much when it comes to toys. Replacing the ED209 like I did and many others have is a huge improvement.

Like other data easts, it is a very brutal game. It drains fairly easy since its launches into bumpers and there is no ball save. It gets a bad rap for that, but personally I see that as a positive.

Robocop has amazing sound and lights and fairly simple gameplay, Ramp/muliball lock shot and spinner shot keep you coming back for more. Quite brutal and quick rounds.

I pulled in a fixer upper Robocop and got about 10 games in it before it broke and I moved it on. Overall, I was impressed and this is a great bang for the buck pin. It is "almost" as much fun as a C tier Bally/Williams game of the time. The sound, music, and speech is amazing with "digital Stereo". The jump ramp is cool, and the rules are pretty shallow but balanced and fun. The theme isn't for me, but if you are a Robocop fan this is a no brainer. Solid recommendation for a first pin or a fun game to rotate through your basement. Biggest downside for me was the art package. As an aside, this is the easiest single machine I have ever shopped out. You could change out all the rubbers on this and convert to LEDs in about an hour. Not the greatest game ever, but a solid game for the price.

Robocop is a very underrated game. It's very simple, but fast and a ton of fun. I'm a huge fan of ramps, and the jump ramp is one of my all time favorites. One of the greats in terms of sound fx.

Nothing bad but also nothing that really stood out for me. the sound are very nice

Alright, I may be a little biased towards Robocop given the Detroit lineage, but it’s just an awesome game! It’s a fast paced, challenging game with great thematic sounds and a pulse-pounding background beat that makes you want to keep playing!

For me, late 80’s-early 90’s pinball is the pinnacle of fun! Great themes like Robocop, WWF, and Terminator 2 ruled the arcades. Probably one of my top-3 games all-time, as it just tugs on my nostalgic heart-strings!

My numerical rating might be pretty low for this game, but I still like it. I still enjoy playing this game whenever I find one. I believe so far I've only played it 2 or 3 different times. But, I've played a good handful of games each time. I LOVE ROBOCOP! One of my all time favorite movies. And while this pin could be a heck of a lot better, as it lacks toys and some of the artwork is hit or miss, its still Robocop. And really this is a relatively early Data East pin. And with each release their pins got a bit better and better. And this pin is far from horrible, I actually do enjoy shooting it.
The backglass is nice, but doesn't pop as much as I think it should. I think some of the color choices might be the reason why. Should have done a nice cool blue to accentuate robocop, not the ugly background color they chose. The playfield art is serviceable and is cool that robocop is on there, but kind of really basic and simple, and not in the good way. It lacks energy. But, hey its robocop. So still cool. I like the cab art, but I think maybe something more chrome than black would have been better suited. But, again. THey didn't have that kind of infrastructure in place yet, to do complicated cabs. So its nice... but, if I owned I'd reskin the cab to something a bit flashier.

The layout is unique... But, really not a whole lot going on. There really are only 6 main shots as two of the shot groups are target banks. I'm not going to profess that I know the rules very well. I know once you get an arrest warrant you want to hit the ramp. And that ramp is hard to hit. But, pretty cool that has that gap or jump in it. Nothing too special with the layout, but again it shoots well enough. I will say I actually have a hard time with the ramp. But, after a few games I can get dialed in decent enough.

Sadly no animations in this pin, just some text that will tell you when to make an arrest. But, there are callouts. Don't know if they're from the movie, or were rerecorded, but I do know they are robocop. And while really not a whole lot of callouts. There is enough to keep me happy.
Which I think is the overall case with this pin. Not a great pin, to me it is a great theme, and it does just enough to make me happy and enjoy shooting it. Would I get bored with this pin. Yes. After probably about 10-25 minutes of play. But, if I had a large enough collection I would totally love to have it in it someday. Its fun for a game or two. And I think backglass alone it look good in a collection. Dead or alive you're coming with me.

The jump ramp is one of my favorite shows in pinball. The "I'd buy that for a dollar" is easily my favorite call back of any pinball machine (though sadly only accessible through coin based play) . Elsewhere the playfield art work leaves much to be desired. The overall play is pretty good but not super compelling. The rest of the speech is okay at best, the music is a real detractor, missing is the familiar Basil Poledouris score from the movie, much in the same way the Danny Elfman score is missing from Data East's Batman..... technology of the time I guess? Even an approximation would have sufficed. Otherwise it's a fun game and there's always that ramp jump.

Robocop could have been a much better pin than it is. Its has some cool features like the ramp jump, and the call outs and theme integration are pretty good. Overall the sound is weak though and the enforcement droid (ED-209) could have been a cool toy but instead is a pretty lame cutout plastic. That said, Robocop shoots ok, the spinner is good and it is fun to play. I wish the code was a little deeper, the sound a little better, and the artwork much better.

Ive owned it for a bit now and im a huge fan so yes i love the theme, its well done with bits thatll make more sense if your a fan of the movie,i personally love the backglass and cabinet art and the playfields more cartoonish style fits in nicely, its a brutally fast game that is not deep but the spinner and jump ramp are both excellent with a backhandable spinner shot which is cool and the ED-209 hurry up fight is always intense with a great payout if your successful.Multi-ball start-up is one of the best.If your big into deep, mode based games dont bother with this one but give it a try if you can find one to play,it deserves more credit than it gets Imho

Robocop is a game that I always have fun playing. It's has a simple ruleset, but yet it's a bit challenging due to the jump ramp. Giving it the balance it needs to be my number 3.

Somehow the theme integration on this game is spot on. The artwork is true to the era and the movie. The ramp jump is definitely one I will remember and the call outs only add to the game. Would definitely play again at a show or on location but probably not one I'd bring into the collection. If you really liked the movie this would be a great game for you.

Robocop is okay. Artwork is definitely not the best but it isn’t that bad. Jump ramp is cool and it’s a fast game but it doesn’t really do it for me. Right shot is poorly designed. Rarely goes in (at least is registers). Music pleasantly surprised me. Music is great in my opinion. Good game if your into the movie, but not on my wishlist.

This game plays so fast and looks cool but the geometry of some shots makes them reject all the time and the solid state flippers destroy all the plastic on the game. It is tough to the point of not being fun. The simple objective of multiball can be hard to achieve and that's a bummer when there's not much else to do.

Another game in the pinside ranking doldrums which should be a lot higher. First of all the rules are shallow which is it's main downfall and probably why it isn't ranked higher. Other than that it is an awesome game. Quotes from the movie are well integrated and it has one of the best multiball starts ever, "THE WRECKING CREW IS HERE!". The right saucer shot is clunkey but the jump ramp is one of the best in all of pinball. If you see one on location play it and I know you will be pleasantly surprised.

The silent assasin...easy to walk past until you play a game on it. What Robocop lacks in cool artwork & quality sound, it makes up for in outstanding theme integration.

The sound package is there - with all the cool call outs from the quality is what it is from back in the day though.

Game play is simple to understand & fun to achieve. And the jump ramp is quite simply one of my all time favourite things in all of pinball.

Great fun pin. Fast, brutal but that's Part of the fun. the back glass art looks awesome

Seriously, what is there not to like about Robocop? The sounds are there. The art package is there. The play action is definitely there. There is nothing about this pin that I don't like.

It plays extremely fast with lots of good flipper friendly shots. The sounds can become hypnotic. If you like battling out with the flippers, it you like a pin where the ball comes to you, you will like Robocop.

I just bought one. It will be in my house for long time.

Why is a machine of this caliber languishing at #200 on the top 100 list?

Robocop is a cool game I like that it's very tough game to play and the jump ramp is awesome. I like the playfield artwork but I was never a fan of the backglass.

This game really caught me by surprise. First appearances are deceiving.

FAST! Super fast.
A SWEET ramp jump
Great lighting and effects
Brutal difficulty
A spinner begging to be ripped
"Dead or alive, you're coming with me"

Shallow rules--granted, this one isn't so much a dealbreaker. It'd be nice if there was more structure though in the way villains are captured, like if Boddicker was the last guy you capture in a little wizard mode of sorts.
Right shot to the kickout hole is super clumsy.
Music is repetitive and tiresome.
Playfield art is clean, but there's a lot of dead space.

Honestly, I thought this game was going to be a dud, but it's layout reminds me a lot of Bram Stoker's Dracula, and that's always a good thing.
