Another great game that's also on my wish list. This has a bunch of cool shots and features. Although the shrunkin head is a little freaky. LOL Still, it's a real fun game that has a lot of lastability to it. It's fun shooting around through all the continents. Very creative. I think this should be higher up on the top 100 list myself.

Played once for roughly 3 hours. I did not ever manage to figure out what half the shots were or many of the goals in this machine.

I really like this game and it's on my wish list even though I really dislike: (1) The creepy guy on the cabinet artwork, (2) the ugly slingshot plastics, and (3) the physical shrunken head toy (although I like his callouts) is almost as bad as the troll doll on RCT. However, while those elements slightly lower my score the ruleset and the shots really do it for me.

Have had Ripley's for almost one year. I find it a hard game to get many points. I like it lots of shots and lots of fun. Lots to shoot at and challenging. Still not tired of it. Shrunken head is cool.

A great pin and should be rated higher. Lots of things to do and different directions with plenty of variation. Flow is good and fun for all ages.

This is a fun machine. That seems to loosen up on ball 3. Lots of different game types and fun ramps to hit. Replay seems really easy as well. I purchased credits and ended up winning 7 or 8 replays.

Two things seem strange.

1.) The counting up scoring. In many of the game types. You're score will just increase as long as you keep the ball in play. If I was bored enough I would have just held the ball on my flipper for 30 minutes until I had the high score.

2.) The shrunken head sfx almost ruins this game it is so repetitive and constant that I walked away with 2 credits still on the machine, because I couldn't take anymore of the sfx.

Ripley's is a real players game. It has quite a bit of things to do with more than one wizard mode, fun shots, great super jackpot animation and effect. There is much more than meets the eye on this game.

Excellent ruleset with lots of things to do. Frog Frenzy and Atlantis are both quite hard to reach providing good lastalbility.

Vari-target rejects and evil outlane/inlane setup can make the game quite frustrating occasionally.

The playfield layout is pretty original and gameplay decent but I had a very hard time with the theme. It just didn't keep me interested.

Annoying sounds. Shrunken head taken from Harry Potter movie (lol). Not a fan of the upper playfield with ramps (ramps are good, but it looks out of place). Slingshots are creepy. Did not like this one.
However, this one is family friendly. Lots to do in this pin and the playfield is PACKED with all sorts of nifty shots.

I really like this game. Balls last a long time. great call outs, and I really enjoy the SFX. It definitely feels like a "poor man's Twilight Zone", but I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I like this game, it's fun, entertaining, challenging and relatively deep. Areas can be a bit repetitive but I still come back to it on a regular basis. Play it, you won't be disappointed.

Man, I love this pin! I never thought anything would break my love affair with CFTBL, but Ripley's did. I can just play it and play it and play it over and over and it never gets old. There is always another goal to chase after. I used to watch the show and read the books in my youth and went to the Ripley's museums as a young adult, so I LOVE the artwork/theme/playfield! Lot's of multiball modes to keep the blood pumping and the call-outs are killer, especially for jackpots. Very deep ruleset that reveals itself over time. Or you could read the rulesheet ;-)

My only gripe with this machine and it's a small one is that it's pretty tricky to reach the upper playfield with the lower right flipper. Since this is where most of the action takes place, I find myself favoring the left flipper, nearly always passing the ball anytime it comes down the right side. The upper right flipper is exceedingly important though, so it's kind of reverse trade-off.

Very under-rated game, still. Nice rule set but can be difficult for some to see and get.
When dialed in plays very well in the Pat Lawlor fashion.
Great lighting effects when nice LED's are put in. I've played ugly RBION's and beautiful ones and it all comes down to care and attention to detail.
Worth considering for your collection.

I think this game is a lot of fun. It has a deep rule set, a risky skill shot, multiple ramps and one playfield magnet that can easily drain the ball down the middle. It's an easy game to play but a difficult game to master. Very challenging.

I find this game fun for beginners but also deep enough to keep you satisfied. There is a lot going on and it's all well done. I like it a lot!

The game that tried to be the next TZ without the budget. It didn't succeed. Next to CSI my least favorite Lawlor game.

I got this machine for a friend, and have had it for a month while he's finishing some restorations. I just cannot get into it for some reason. I have TZ and love it, but this one doesn't do it for me. The rules are not readily apparent when playing it, I don't like having a target to hit that close to the flipper (RBION hole) - same with wolvorine annoys me on X men. Playfield is very cluttered, and this stops any chance of any flow. The cabinet artwork is dull, dull, dull, but the playfield looks nice. I'm glad I'm not keeping it, but the build seems nice and I'm sure my friend will enjoy it as his first pin.

I think this game is great. I love the Ripley's theme. The rules are easy to follow and the game plays well. I'd buy it if the price is right of course.

It's a hit in a lot places, but a miss in others. It has a deep ruleset like TSPP and LOTR, which I like, but the game starts repeating itself after a long while. The voices can get annoying at times. It gets real tiring after a LONG time playing it, but after some time away from it, it's fun again. As for sound, they're not to repetitive, but the voice-acting quality leaves much to be desired. It's hard to tell at first exactly what the shrunken head just said. But, that's alright.

Still, fun game. Not one I want to own, but sure would like to play if given the option.

Great game play, does take a while to understand the deep rule set, butkeeps you coming back for more......

Great game by Pat Lawlor. Love the theme. Placement of parts and game flow takes some getting used to. And rules are complicated. Similar to TZ on both of these points.

But once you master rules, layout, etc. game is a joy. Very deep, fast and fun. VERY hard to complete all modes. If I had one, I'd keep it!
