Noteworthy features

  • Red eyed aliens and rotating UFOs (saucers) were added to the machine along with Optiflux LEDs in all playfield inserts.

Trivia

  • This is the first Pinball 2000 machine. It integrates a fully-interactive video monitor the rear of the pinball playfield. This and Star Wars Episode I are the only two built in this new cabinet type. The cabinet dimensions are: 45"H x 48"D x 22"W; backbox dimensions are: 28"H x 23.5"D x 24"W.
  • Because the Pinball 2000 machine was designed in a modular fashion, and is completely "kit-able", operators would be able to seamlessly convert the cabinet and cpu to other Williams PB2000 games.
  • However, Williams was closed down, shortly after releasing Star Wars: Episode I, so it will never be known how successful the PB2000 system would have become.

Backbox ornament(s)

None

Video mode

More than half the action of this pinball type is conducted in an interactive hologram video mode.
