How I won this machine.

Written by Paisley_Pinball, published July 21st, 2012. No comments.

I am a regular atendee of the UK Pinball Party and in 2011 I was down there and they had a raffle with the grand prize being a pinball machine. in 2010 they had a Dr Dude machine for raffle and Dennis Nordman was there to give it away.

Well for the 2011 raffle Pool Sharks was the machine. I bought 2 tickets (for a total of £10) and ended up winning the grand prize. Coolest of all was that I had the table presented to me by Jersey Jack.

The table was in great mechanical shape but in slightly / fairly rough physical shape. Quite a few of the plastics were cracked and the paint had come off in a few areas at the bottom of the playfield. the cabinet had a bit of fading and the regular dents and bumps.

I was delighted and have been a proud owner of it now for one year. I have repaired all the damage as best i can and made new plastics. It certainly looks a lot better than it did when i got it. I have fitted LEDs to all the inserts and stuck a coin mech in it for good measure and some leg protectors to cover the worst of the leg wear.

I didnt initially think much of this table, and I can see why casual players would not be taken with it. But over the last year it has really grown on me and sees regular play to this day.

Lucky me!
