I thought this was a fun game. Rule set was easy to learn. I like the million dollar shot.

Really one of the underrated and underappreciated system 11s. Gets a bad wrap because of the center millions ramps, but I find it fun to activate millions and then keep those shots going and adding up.
I love the capturing of the criminals theme. Skill shot is unique but difficult to master. I LOVE the call outs on this pin and the sound effects coming from the upper topper speaker. The art on the backglass is killer and so is the cab artwork... a lot of detail here (diamond weasel stealing ramps from other pins).
All in all I am really amazed at some of these older pins and just how damn fun they are. Why spend 5k+ on a new stern when you can buy 3 system 11s for that price.

I just blocked off the center ramp to force myself to play the rest of the game.

Had Police Force for a couple of months now. Rule set is weak with lop-sided scoring. Inner ramp unlimited millions out weighs all other shots. I have changed the difficulty setting to very hard and it's made the game far better as the inner ramp takes 8 loops before accruing the unlimited millions and makes for much fairer gameplay. Back glass is very well done and the police light topper is neat. Multiball is difficult to obtain compared to other pins of this Era. Cop and bad guy comments over and over get tiring fast Overall though a decent pin when set to very hard.

Some of the worst rules I have ever seen in a pinball game. It's stunning that anyone who previously rated this game can't figure out why people don't like it.

Ok time for an update, having owned this machine for well over a year now...

This is a decent to good pin despite it's well documented flaws, it's not a great one because it obviously doesn't cater to hardcore players and lastability i venture is mostly reserved for people who dig 80s pins.

For newbies or perpetually casual players like myself, it'll do just fine being easy to get into for quick wholly family friendly fun.

They're generally affordable and the price doesn't seem to vary too much between a near mint or player's condition one for whatever reason but my advice would be to factor in the purchase of a repro centre ramp as every single one i've seen to date including my own has at least that part badly damaged as a given.

Really fun game, simple system 11 type of stuff. Probably not the best in a small collection, but fun none the less. The main ramp shot can get old, but as you build ramp shots it def can get exciting.

Police Force is another Python/Oursler team effort that looks good and sounds nice... but when you really get to play it, you are left wanting.

The Pros:
Fun artwork and a sniper looking through his scope at the bad guys. Barry's tm outlanes require you to keep that ball in control.

The Cons:
This is a one and a half shot game. Middle ramp and steal the highest sccore. I say one and a half because I don't think that any game should have a shot that give a player the "automtic win" and still call itself pinball.

The Takeaway:
If you are a serious tourney player, go last on this game. Drain your first two balls, steal the top score and walk away knowing you stole the game in 1 shot. This may cause you to be known as a "PinJerk", so do so at your own risk. This game ranks high on the "random luck win" scale.

Update:
This game suffers from a gottlieb like ruleset from the time. Here's where I am at with this game... It can be modified to be better. it needs 2 things:

1) elimination of the steal your score rule. more work to build and collect a JP that resets in different ways would help too.
2) a diverter of sorts for the center ramp to feed the ball to both inlanes.

As this game stands, I don't like the way it plays, but there are so many homebrewers out there now that this game could be one that would benefit from some changes. There are good shots on this design. But there seem to be a number of games from this vintage of williams where design by committee seems to get in the way of a good playing game. Will it ever happen? Who knows... What can I say, I'm a dreamer.

Awesome theme. love the art. Music rocks. Layout is cool, and unlimited millions is fun. The big negative here is that shooting the millions ramp over and over is a long term downer... And really the only thing worth shooting for points.

I've owned this for a couple of years and know the machine pretty good. Biggest complaint is the unbalanced scoring. The scoring is such that one shoots at nothing but the unlimited million center ramp ....because that's where the points are.
And of course, for multiple players......the "takeaway scoring" on the 3rd ball is less than desirable.

Kids absolutely love the game.

I'll no doubt keep this pin until I find something better to replace it with.

Loved it when I was a kid, love it more now. Just a fun player that is easy to learn for the novice. The steal high score is fun. Just a fun playing game. I don't think it's meant to be taken "too" seriously. Enjoyable.

Played this a couple of times, and enjoyed it. It didn't have the greatest lastibility, but if I see one again, I'll give it another shot. I really enjoy some of the shots, the artwork is good, and it's another example of another awesome Williams "Alpha-Numeric" classic.

This is very fun machine. I've owned it for 6 months and the whole family wants to play it all the time. Getting a good score is not as easy as some say although you could get lucky and hit that middle ramp a bunch. But there are many more scoring options that are much more fun to go for. This game is extremely under rated IMHO!

This game is a funny one, its a great own for the right price (Sub 1k) A lot of people who are super good at pinball hate it because you can simply pull multiple millions, additionally you can do the high score swipe thing.. I am a casual pinballer who can 1/4 times hit the target, having owned this for a year and play it at least once a week or so, I still feel like a champ if I get the unlimited millions once in a 2 month span. The sound if what you expect out of a low demand pin. Its not horrible and not good. Any System 11 is worth owning if you ask me, so with that and the right price pick it up. Good finds when you get upper ramp deflector errors or chipped up ramps, get the cliffy protectors for it! This isnt some pin that your gonna retire on the cash it brings in, but when kids want to whale on a machine ..this is the one.. fun ..easy to make it do "Stuff" and random wacking might get you multiball and make the police car move which the family loves. As a casual ball-a' I wont be selling this game any time soon.

I actually really enjoyed playing this game. It was easy yet I had fun trying to master the shots. Good family theme especially for young kids. Good solid Williams game. I like the center post which saves the middle "drains". Again, this would be fun for newer pinball players to attract them to pinball. Doesn't have all the current gadgets but just enought to be interesting. Cute game.

This one has been said to be repetitive (with the center ramp being the ramp to win with, I guess). My son and I played it recently and had a great time!
