There would never be a reality where I would ever choose anything about this pin when Eight Ball Deluxe looks and plays so much better, while trying to do near identical things.

This is a fast great drop target game. the sound is like pong the old tennis game. the mirror glass finish on the back board is great, the pool theme is great but the robot bit is questionable. Although the game is strait forward, it is a fun game that i am drawn back too especially when i am stressed. It's layout is similar to the EMs Hot Shot, Big Shot, Play Pool and pro pool. The little differences do make a different game on the play field.
I love my drop targets and this game satisfies.

Solid system 1 title.

The remo drop feature is excellent. As a player, it is fun to anticipate the drops have gone down on each side, maintaining and in fact, doubling down on the symmetrical layout.

System 1 drops are like butter, and you can frequently sweep a few as the ball hits them off the side. Snipe them, what have you, and collect and reset them from the upper kickouts.

A steeper angle is a must to have this deck play fast and mean... it's works as the flipper gap is a bit wide, and this works to keep the ball time down.

A fun really tight shot back to the upper rollovers can provide the player with an opportunity to get the B rollover, at that point, A and C can either be selected from the top lanes, or by the inlanes, which will light the eight ball captive for a extra ball.

Drops are worth 5k each, or do you want to try to go for the upper saucers to advance the multiplier? don't forget, the multiplier on the outlane could make the difference!

Fun game!

For me the best Gottlieb. Realy Classic

14 drop targets that reset after each ball makes for a fun game. it's a lot harder to hit all the targets on one ball than it seems. Love the art on the entire game, it's a keeper. So many pool themed games out there but this one gets it right, if you see one pick it up and play it. Just got one recently and plan on keeping for a long time.

One of the few system 80 games I like.

Love this game. My 2nd pin purchased, keeping it forever. Simple rules but thats what I like. Going for bonus kick out holes is the key and controlled hits on the captive 8. Has the " just one more game" thing going on for sure. Mine looks great with playfield colored leds.

I bought an example of this just to make a cocktail table out of the back box for $50. It had issues, but after playing it, I decided to fix it instead because it seemed like fun. Just so you know, I curse system 1. After many tribulations I got it working properly. Very drainy initially. I moved the outlane posts down 1/4". that solved the unreasonable outlane drains. the captive ball can be drainy if you take wild shots at it, but if you hold the ball before shooting, it's very controllable. Unlike most mechanicals, this SS game has plenty of flipper power and is plenty fast. Other comments saying it's too slow are wrong. In case you think I'm just an old school player, you are wrong. I have a vendor friend and have played almost everything and have owned some ss, a few mechanicals and mostly 92-99 W/B, which are my favs. Jack up the adjusters on the back legs and fix the outlanes as I mentioned and this game is a underrated classic. It's still hard to beat, which you want for a home game so you don't get bored too easy, but very satisfying. My other game right now is Fish Tales. Pinball Pool has 10 shots from each flipper! Very satisfying to get the whole rack and then shoot one of the 2 saucers for 75K if you have the bonus multiplier maxed out at 5X, after which the target banks reset. You can shoot repeated side to side full table shots to the saucers to raise the bonus multiplier. Loud knocker can be set for 3 knocks for high score. You won't believe me, but properly set up, this one of the greatest single-level, non multiball games ever made. The beeps and boops sound is lame, but not as annoyingly repetitive as many newer games. (Geneva! on Frankenstein and many, many more) I haven't done mine yet, but you can easily convert these to chimes, which would be awesome in an old school way. Mirrored backglass with hot babes and a robot implying a digital future because this was one of Gottlieb's first Digital games. A pool theme is always great for a man cave also. Non pinheads love this and play it more than my Fish Tales when they come over because it's less intimidating. Again, system 1 is lame, but simple though.

Backglass is really nice. Its average game in my opinion, center drop target can drain you. It can get boring after a while, but it does have the power to get you interest from time to time. Maybe this pin should be pitched on a more aggressive slope to speed up the game play? I never had the opportunity to change the slope because the sample I play on is not my and the owner is set in his ways. But Im curious if the game play will be better with one 1°- 1.5° in slope change to the aggressive side

I really would like to rate this higher, because it is a beautiful game with an interesting playfield design. Unfortunately the game play is rather stale och slow here.

Plus:
Beautiful backglass art and a fun mix of space age (robot) and pool/gambling. This is even cooler than the Pinbot-series from Williams.

Interesting layout; the position of that captive ball, the kickout holes, the star roll-overs - it all looks like a ton of fun.

Easy-to-follow rule set and a successful entry in the pool table theme for pinball.

Bad:
Very slow game play.

Somehow what looks like a real cool and original playfield design turns out to be a rather boring and uninspired pinball table.

Once again, sound here is awful. A set of EM-era chimes would be better than this "pong"-sound. Compared to what Bally/ Williams put in their machines around the same time, this is embarrasing.

Good & Bad : a lot of weird ball-returns here that go straight down the middle. At least this makes the game play a little bit
more interesting and frustrating.

Go for the center shot and be amazed at how quickly you drain. When it hits, the ball goes dead then SDTM.

Surprising how much this game gets played. The rules are super simple, but it is appealing to experts as well as beginners. The play is slow and controlled, and you can hear the ball rolling a lot. A really fun table to keep in the mix if you have newer tables.

Pinball Pool is a very basic game, but it's a whole lot of fun, especially with more than one player. One of my favorite older pinball titles so far.

Just an all around fun game to play. Good artwork w/ good mix & use of colors. Sound is ok for its era, but not impressive. It has 14 drop targets, a captive ball for the 8-ball (& extra ball), two kick-out holes, and 3 rollover lanes in upper playfield. I like drop target games and the pool theme. You have to make multiple good shots to get your bonus up and bonus multiplier up.

Another drop target based pin by Gotlieb. Not their best, but rather popular in its day due to the addictive and relatively easy gameplay. Good for unwinding...
