Is it really High Speed 3? When I read it amd played it all made sense…Ritchie, speed theme, motorsports and cool call outs.

As an owner/past owner of HS & HS2 I finally got a chance to play and wasn’t disappointed. Before Red Bull and Extreme Sports really hit it, I remember NO Fear gear but never put the two together in the mid 90’s.

Its not a one trick shot game as many have commented on but you sure can brick post a lot of shots until you get dialed in. High scores, multiball and extra ball be achieved rather easily but believe the jump shot is the true icing on the cake. I was able to hit only 2 in a row but one I played seemed to pause at gate before flipper but only on ocassion. If like HS, it should check up a little but need to see some video game play.

At current market prices a nice player condition (faded bottom cabinet) seems to be in mid 4’s and to me seems like a great value.

Hope to be back t o update when one is in my collection

No Fear: Dangerous Sports feels like a very un-Steve Ritchie like game.

It's actually one of the few games I've played that has no bumpers which kind of works out in its favor as it is one of the most flow based games Midway ever produced. Hitting that sideramp with the upper flipper is a great feeling and definitely the best shot of this game. The talking head is an awesome addition too. That was probably Steve Ritchie's first idea when he thought about making this game.

The rules are good for a WPC game albeit that I do not think they're anything special. I like the modes though, especially the Skydive mode where the head taunts you for not hitting the Skydive shot. In general playing the game is fun.

The artwork is beautiful and it goes along with the theming pretty well. The playfield is especially nice to look at which is not a given with the majority of Steve Ritchie games (just look at World Poker Tour or 24).

All in all I believe this game to be underrated as it is very flowy and fun. In my opinion this is an ideal game for casual and advanced players.

Man, I love No Fear as a game. I am unabashedly a Steve Ritchie fanboy, so take this how you will. But I just love the demented speed of this game. The theme is well integrated (despite being goofy) and the looping ramp is just a blast. I like the rules, but it could’ve been better balanced to incentivize playing through the modes, and has a similar Black Knight issue of being a *super* heavy right flipper game.

But I don’t really care about its goofy theme, or its flaws. All I want to do is play it, and then play it again.

Some call it High Speed III - it is really high speed, all the time.

No Fear is a truly underrated game and a masterpiece from Steve Richie! Awesome flow, good theme integration, fun wizard modes, and skull takes the show.

I'm down with this game. Love the theme, the gameplay is nice and fast, and with the staged ball feed from the scoop there's even less downtime. I love that about a lot of the older machines. A great machine to hone your skills on, and I really enjoy it. Rules are varied enough, but very straight forward to understand. The jump shot is always a challenge so that's something you can continually strive for and enjoy. Love it.

Great flow. The jump shot is always challenging for me. The funny callouts never get old. Good, linear progression to Meet your Maker. It doesn't have jets which is unique, but there's still plenty of action.

This might be the Steve Ritchiest game of all time. The Getaway, but taken even further! Extremely fast, but super flowy when you get into the groove and find the shots.

Theme is pure nostalgia, and is nowadays a generic “extreme sports” theme, that still works. The skull is cool, and the jump ramp is super satisfying to hit in repetition. Such a fun game, that is below a lot of people’s radar.

Relatively easy to shop/clean/maintain, and looks stunning with bright LEDs. The light show is spectacular. Pull the rubbers off the giant right post, for much faster ball times, or remove it completely if you want to really get punished. This game surprised the hell out of me with how fun, challenging, and addictive it is.

I've owned 24 games and this is the least favorite that I ever owned. However I got it cheap when acquiring a couple other games so it was not a big disappointment.

The game is VERY fast. I found the game play manic with very limited shots......just ramps. The obnoxious talking skull got old quick. The one I owned, the top part of the skull was made out of different plastic than the bottom half and the top yellowed terribly making it look sort of crummy.

The makers of this were obviously targeting the Xtreme Sports type guys....skateboarders and BMX riders. If that is you then you might like this game. From my experience there are many better games to own.

Simple rules game that is ramp heavy. Focused on various extreme sports modes the game just is a blast to play as a super fast and smooth shooter. No pops, just lot of ramp lanes and the talking skull and presentation is just great at that EXTREME 90s feel that fits perfect with a pinball machine. The scoring is also crazy high cause of course everything is extreme. This is a great game that probably gets passed up due to it's theme branding.

This is a classic under rated game. When I have people over they question it until I say give it a play then they love it. It’s entertaining and fast, people love the jump ramp

A good, but basic playfield with the raised loop and single upper flipper makes this game pretty enjoyable. Rules are very straightforward. This is a good game for novices it would seem. Theme, meh, sorta NASCAR, sorta other sports, I can’t imagine this is anyone’s favorite machine.

I’ve owned this game twice and sold it twice. It was my first pin and is very special to me, but unfortunately it’s kind of clunky. Fun and fast but after all it’s just all ramps.

Played a few times at Pinball Republic in London. This is the definition of a ‘decent’ pinball machine. It has a strong focus on ramps and orbits, and some interesting modes activated by the skull but, sadly, nothing really stands out.

The extreme sports theme, which I found pretty exciting in concept, is underused here. The orbits and ramps could stand-in for literally anything, and the skull doesn’t really help out. It could do with some decent toys: a motorcycle jump, a 360 degree ramp, or similar.

Based on the recent sale of a No Fear pinball machine on the PinballInfo forum, I think this is great value for money for a decent solid pin.

One of Steve Ritchie's under-rated masterpieces. Fantastic fun layout with super-flow, and a sadly dated obnoxious theme. The second level loop flipper feels like ultimate evolution of sea-witch/high speed style upper loop. Double outer loops, inner loops, cool flaming talking skull toy; if it's just fun flow I don't think you can find a better deal than No Fear. not an easy game, and I honestly don't know all the rules yet, but a game I will always play at the local pin bar. couldn't have it in my home though :-/

I've owned this game for about a month now. At first I felt it might be just an okay machine, in fact I even had some hesitation about even buying it at first having concerns mainly about the non-conventional layout of the playfield with its focus on loops and ramps. I had played it before and enjoyed it but certainly wondered about the lastability. But as is typical of these games, you really have to learn the rules and flow before drawing any conclusions, and now after several, several plays it has become my go-to game among the 3 I have. Sure, you need to be decent at aiming for the ramps and loops and deadheading against a post is no fun, but once those skills are polished a bit it becomes super rewarding and a blast. It is more difficult than sending a ball into a forest of pop bumpers and watching it rattle around a bit racking up points. And Skull heckling you during the game when you play poorly is actually kind of enjoyable, and getting him to come around and actually tell you you're awesome seems to make me try all that much harder (lol).

Bottom line: I LOVE THIS GAME!

I think this game is got some things going for it. I'm not one of those middle-aged dorks that's like the whole manly no fear thing, however, it is fun but it seems to have a lot of shots that go up in the Playfield mostly about ramp. I think they could have done it better but it ain't bad. You have to play on a machine where the flippers are strong otherwise you're not going to get anything on the ramp. In a couple of the shots namely the left "track"shot has a tendency to drain right down the middle. Especially if you hit the ball Square you know it's going to come straight down.
