Enjoy playing the game, one of the later Gottlieb EM's. Just when you think you have it mastered it humbles you. The tilt settings are key to keeping the game fair.

Got this game as a gift from my Uncle Don. Thanks uncle Don!!! Produced at the end of the EM era, Mustang has some pretty cool "rules" that I don't notice too much in earlier EM efforts. The rollover lanes actually increase the bonus multiplier (it pays to hit "A" on the skill shot), and knocking down the drop targets increases the value of the saucer shots. I think it could have been better with active slingshots rather than the passive ones, because it seems to play fairly slow at the bottom of the playfield. I do think mine could use an extra degree, though. Great EM to have, and special to me that it came from such a valued family member.

I love the artwork on the cabinet and backglass. I think they skimped a bit on playfield goodies...they must have been concentrating on getting SS machines up and running! I still enjoy gameplay but you can run out of things to do after you down the three drop targets...would be nice if they reset during a ball.

Mustang is a good simple pinball game that make sure that you are playing as you should.

The Good:
Tricky saucer shots from the flippers to the top of the PF require sniper skills. I like the drop targets, but the "A" rollover at the top of the PF takes true skill. Quad your bonus if you can!

The Bad:
Can be a bit too simple at times. The kickers on the left and the right of the upper PF can make the saucers a gimme.

The Takeaway:
Steepen this table, wax it up and open the outlanes as much as you can and you will always have a Krynski challenge on your hands.

Got the chance to play on a '77 Bally Mustang in excellent condition. I was fascinated by the fact that all the mechanical elements still do their job - entertaining the player.
This really is a nice pinball machine with some superb features. The wild west theme works out well, however, if you're used to the later pinball era, the game feels very very slow.
Mustang is a good addition for anyone looking for a classic 1970's machine.
