Mustang is a very underrated game. I will admit that Stern didn't put all they had into the game . The layout is simple and I think it would probably appeal more to the non-pinball player because it is a easy game to figure out . The rules and code are not very deep. I think it is a fun game to play when i find it on location.

Easy to get into from the start, I liked the more back to basics feel of the machine, ie no upper playfield stuff just good old pinball.

Boring best describes this game. I can't give it a fair review because the ramp was broken and stayed up the whole time. Hated the sound track so much though that I don't really even care to try one with a working ramp.

I found this game at a local bar. Stuck a buck in for 1 game. I got 2 matches and 2 replays on top of that. After game 4 I was ready to leave and put very little effort into game 5... very sad. The playfield layout just doesn't do it for me. The left ramp was the only fun shot. On the positive side it is very bright and the LEDs look nice. It was nice to a Metallica pro and the color was much better. The game is not though. Definitely one of Stern's weaker games in a long time. I enjoyed Avengers more.

Well, can understand why so few LE's sold. It's not that it is a bad game but with so much choice around, this title adds nothing new. It has a real retro feel to it, only disguised by bright led's. It's fairly fun to play but not to own for sure. And how on earth did that whirlpool ramp get through the design process? I had a whole conversation with someone while the ball trundled round and round! Why not use the same as on CFTBL? Anyway a mediocre game at best and in these competitive times, Stern can't afford too many more lazily designed games.

Game reminds me of what Corvette would be if it were mode based. I used to own a Mustang so I am not against the theme like some. The game I played was fast and in good shape. It seemed to be pretty brutal, miss your shots and you will have short ball times. I like the artwork more than I thought I would. I like some of the song selections. I had fun playing it but not enough to replace my other pins.

Mustang is a decent game based on a theme I did not consider worth buying... at first. The game is fast and offers a variety of shots. The skillshot is very hard (and therefore interesting). I like the bumper action, and I also enjoy the bumper caps! On the minus side, I find PF artwork really ugly.

Edit 1: the more I play it, the more I love it (and that was with 1.3 code)

Edit 2: The more I play it, the more I love it. Now among my favorite Sterns!

I played it and I had to buy it. The creature feature ramp is really really fun. I love that you can stack your multiball up to 6 balls and activate it whenever you want whether with 3, 4, 5 or wait until you stacked 6 balls.
The only thing that really is annoying is the lame music. But with pinball browser I just changed every track that I didn't like. Now it is a real blast for me and I can't get enough. When I first saw it I was a little disappointed (maybe also because the car in the middle did nothing) and couldn't imagine buying that thing. But after playing it more and more with the latest code I had to get one.

Rom has owned this game in the past.

I didn't think I'd like this game, and I didn't. I felt like walking away after the 2nd ball. The theme is incredibly boring to me, the playfield feels like there's not enough to do, and overall it just felt like it wasn't thought through very well. Add all that to the fact that I don't like many Sterns, and you have my review. Maybe a Ford fanatic would love this, but for the average pinhead, pass.

I really like this game.. I t is fast and fun. Alot of people don't like the theme but game play goes great with the theme.. Not every game has to be a music theme or a movie theme. It is a nice change to those themes since 9 out of ten new games falls in that catagory..

The theme does nothing for me, but the game is fun to play. It's a shame that more wasn't done with the playfield on this game. The car in the center is a waste since it is not integrated. Only a few songs for the modes compared to the Premium/LE is also a shame. The modes have good variation and the scoring is more balanced now. Lots of custom dots and voice call outs, which is nice. It's a good route game I would drop quarters into whenever I see it, but I would never pay for one brand new, there just isn't enough there for me.

It's such a great pinball , played it in California and want one .....it's a great game with a lot of different missions ...animations are very cool , and music is good ...if I liked the pro I can't wait to play the le . I might buy an le instead .

Solid Stern game! Plays fast like Ford Mustang and has nice lightning. Lot of ball space at the playfield.

Takeaway: Why not, ecspecially for Ford/Mustang fans!

Pros:
Playfield is pretty wide open with a wide variety of shots from both flippers. In addition, the game plays fast and there is good flow which kept me interested at first. The idea to defer multi-ball to get even more balls later is original.

Cons:
I didn't find any of the shots real rewarding and make me want more except for the left ramp. The gears drop targets in the middle of the playfield with the car on top has been done before with Stern's NASCAR pin. In addition, even though it was just released and updates are expected, the rules aren't real deep.

I can see kids, die hard car fans, and the casual player enjoying this pin but there really wasn't anything about this pin that made me want more.

I received my Mustang Pro NIB ,, Ohh it's a Beautiful Pin but the Music stunk ,not alot of shots . I just didn't Feel the mojo w/ this Pin .. There IS hARDLY no SHAKER MOTION INCORPORATED INTO THE GAME PLAY .. In my Honest opinion ,, this is Stern's biggest Flop since Hulk / Avengers ..

nice fast and fun pin , many colors , good flow , open playfield ,liked fast multiballs ,played more than 10 hours rom 1,20 and really enjoyed it

I didn't love Mustang. Too much of the central real estate is taken up with the upper lanes, pops and the GEARS drop targets. Nothing much interesting happens on the right upper side of the machine. The ramp on the upper left is OK, but not enough to keep my attention. I don't care for the theme. The car in the middle is lame.

After putting a few games on this table, it is definitely a fun game. For those that are familiar to Corvette, the collecting of cars is similar, but the gameplay is very different. Love the GEARS drop targets in the middle of the playfield. Has two different multiball modes: 2-ball GEARS Multiball and 4-ball Mustang Multiball. Both are great.
