Waited forever to find the right price, right location, right timing. So worth the wait.

Nice collection of shots that will keep the casual player engaged but a deep enough rule set to challenge serious players. Larger color display on the SE is so worth it.

A true keeper.

Many people love/love/love this game. I would say that I like the game. . . probably don't love the game. Definitely a classic theme with good shots, decent flow and some fun things to do. After initial honeymoon period, I will play this game once every few months, but can't say that it is a personal favorite time and time again. Nevertheless, worth a few plays to see how it will work for you!

One of those games that wasn't really on my radar but always found myself dumping money in Monster Bash Remake at the arcade when I was really there to check out the new Sterns like Munsters. Just a fun, fun game and had the chance to pick up an SE for a great price.

There are a few quirks on mine that probably need dialed in but the biggest annoyance is making it up the left bride ramp. If the ball doesn't make it up it is a slow roll back down.

The improved light, display and sound on the SE are easily worth the extra but you can't go wrong with the classic either. Non-pinball people seem to love it as well. Great gateway drug pinball machine.

You'd be hard pressed to convince me that MB isn't the greatest pin of all time. There's nothing lacking here and CGC did an amazing job with the remake. The larger screen really makes a difference. Everybody in the house loves this machine and, honestly, what's not to love. The toys are great, the callouts are funny and not too repetitive, the artwork is top notch. It's an incredible machine and well deserving of it's rating in the top 5 of all time. It's the best.

The game is great, I have some drain issues that I need to figure out... Just purchased NIB last week. Can see why everyone has loved it for so long. The rule set seems simple, but it is timeless none the less. The game is fun but it is not a top three game. Maybe a top 20 game, but not top 3

I love this game. I think the SE version is the best bang for your buck, however, everything about this game just screams fun. In my opinion, it should be rated as number 1 because it is such a blast to play for beginners and veterans alike, everyone will love playing this game!

Chicago quality was fantastic but the game code and overall play didn't connect with me and was short lived in my lineup.

Great game I would like to add to my collection. The toys and animations are second to none. Very enjoyable game for all.

Excellent remake by CGC. Their standards, by now, are becoming well-established. Just like with MM and AFM, this game looks, sounds, feels and plays almost exactly like the original, but with some key improvements. The lighting is the most obvious difference, for me. The color-changing LEDs are a nice touch, and each monster mode gets a different color. The scoop is well lit, and the game has a very nice appearance overall. As with AFM and MM, I too feel a slightly "clicky" feel to the flippers. Something mechanical feels slightly different. After getting an SE and playing it many times, I don't necessarily dislike the flippers. I think they are functional and strong. They do feel different than Stern, and even Williams. So, if anything is uniquely CGC, it may be the flippers. I wouldn't really downgrade the game tho. This game is just a fantastic theme, with fairly easy, accessible shots and good rules/code. It's a game you feel you can actually finish, in time. Still, it's not easy to collect all 6 monsters to achieve Monster Bash, but it's do-able. It feels on par with destroying the ring in LOTR, for me. I've done both a few times, but not often.

The larger DMD is awesome. The animations are fun and greatly improved, but still capture that DMD feel with a vastly more sophisticated display. The quality of the materials is very good, and the game is just well-made. The theme, the old-timey Universal monsters all being collected to form a band, is really fun. The ramps (3 of them!) are really fun to shoot. This game is just very well-designed and feels right. The humor is spot-on, the music and sounds are great and the lighting is (intentionally?) dim, but colorful. Only the trough is poorly lit. A trough LED strip is a great idea on this pin. Only tiny flaw is it can feel a bit repetitive and limited, once you've collected all the monsters. Still, a fantastic game and deserving of a top 10 spot.

I have to say like that of the other remakes (AFM/MM) there is an issue with the timing of the flippers and it appears to be hardware related, which means that the originals are still the way to go. Its a pity since everything else is fantastic.

CGC did a great job recreating this classic, and then some. The larger LCD screen really is impressive (though after awhile you don't really notice that it's bigger). RGB color change lighting is spectacular with the different monster modes - well implemented and an improvement over the original though the look might be "too much" for some fans of the original GI.

Gameplay wise, it's Monster Bash as you remember it and always wished you could afford in years past. Flippers feel poppy and a little plasticky - hard to put your finger on it, but it's not exactly like a Williams. Still, after a couple games it feels great and with all the extra ways to dial in the game (varying power to each coil, etc.) there are a lot of ways to customize the feel that weren't available with the original.

Monster Bash is a bit on the easy side, but it has that "one more game" feeling to it that makes it - and others from its era - feel classic. Tons of great toys, great music, modes that are doable and stackable and you've got a very fun, though slightly limited game.

10/10 for the physical remake aspect of this game. Minus a point for lastability and repetitive (though very good) call-outs.

The remakes are beautiful. I have played the original extensively and also the remakes extensively. The remake MB is another quality offering from CGC. The all LED light show is awesome and the game has a great layout. It's fun for all ages. Depth is ok, which detracts from the lastability a bit, but otherwise there is just so much going on with ramps that are like butter. The shots are satisfying and not difficult to hit.

This machine is super fun. It’s the kind of theme that just works in pinball. Overall the gameplay is quite simple and is repetitive, but there is enough variation in the shots that it’s still fun. This game probably isn’t for the deep pin heads out there ...although I bet it’s tough to resist for anyone. The SE adds a spectacular light show and enhanced LCD and it’s a perfect upgrade to this classic machine! This remake is built with great quality and the CGC updated WPC architecure is a perfect blend of new tech and classic mech.

Great value!

Wow, so Monster Bash pretty much rocks my pinball world. I absolutely adore the theme. Then the toys, oh man it's a party every time you play. From someone who also appreciates hard pins like BSD, what I really enjoy is just being able to unwind after a long day and not stress and MB suits this bill very well.

That said, while it's not hard to get to the mini-wizard Monster Bash, getting to Monsters of Rock is a little bit more of a pickle. Not that it's super complicated mind you, but it's leagues harder than finishing the door in TZ to get to lost in the zone, which can be achieved by just stacking modes. Actually, haven't even got there yet. Not that I expect doing so would make me feel like the party is "over."

I expect this one to be my first keeper, and the CGC build is just out of this world. Owners are totally spoiled in this regard vs. their competitors. Hoping Cactus Canyon is next. If so, my wallet will be waiting.

The MBSE is a terrific machine. It plays fast and smooth and has all of the upgraded playfield toys, etc. as the LE. The only thing the LE has the SE does not is the topper and powder coated steel.

My son and I love it and it's challenging enough for me to go after MOR and he has a difficult time getting MB, so it's great for us to play together.

Love this game! It is pretty addicting, the new animations are amazing to watch. The light show is second to none... code could be deeper but I am not that great of a player so I like the rule set.

****Update****

I sold mine... I had it for 6 months and to be honest the code is so bad it almost killed my love of pinball. Well maybe that is a bit extreme but this is the classic example of chopping wood. It got so repetitive and I have only room for 2 games at a time. This title would do so much better in a larger line up. But for me this game got really old really fast. It is fun, the theme is awesome, the artwork and cgc treatment was phenomenal... but at the end of the day the code really sucked.
