I.know.that this isn't a popular Pin. Doesn't matter. They had one at my favorite bar when it first came out and my buddies and I would take tums playing it for hours ever week.
Theme is what it is, everybody knows Monopoly. Lights up well and has a couple difficult shots.
Very much a nostalgic game for me that I will always enjoy even if there are a lot of better pins out there.

Played at Astro City in Southend. It was poorly lit with a broken ramp, which didn’t help, but it felt like the epitome of a ‘good but not great’ pin - a bit like Stern’s Rush. Lots of stuff on the playfield that didn’t feel rewarding or add to the enjoyment, including a weird spinning little flipper that just slowed down play and got jammed.

I played for ages and got two extra balls, despite not being great at pinball, but I kept trying to hand off my extra balls to my son because I wasn’t inspired to finish even a five-ball game.

Probably pretty entertaining if you like the theme, but I’m a board gamer and didn’t feel like I was playing Monopoly (or any other tabletop title). Instead it felt like it was themed after a rubbish 90s game show.

Monopoly is a crowd pleaser and perfect for all ages. It’s a great theme executed very well by none other than Pat Lawlor. The bank shot is super fun to hit over and over and I feel like I learn more about the machine every day. The animations on the dmd are quite impressive they go well with the voice sounds and speech. I’m not a big fan of the waterworks spinning flipper but I don’t mind it much. Another thing, this game can be put almost anywhere on location and it would fit it. I’m very pleased with my purchase and look forward to many more fun memories with it.

A lot of people are drawn to Monopoly based on their familiarity with the board game, and if that's your thing, then I don't think you'll be disappointed; the theme is integrated well. An average shooter that the seasoned player might not find to be too much of a challenge, but the novice to average player will find approachable.

Fantastic game. Ramp shots are smooth, fast, and easy to hit. The theme is integrated extremely well, and makes for a fun, creative layout. Setting up for multiball is straight forward, whether you're hitting it for the first time or concurrently. Callouts, sound effects, and music are top notch. The Monopoly man's voice is well-suited to the character. Animations are another plus (enhanced more by a color dmd, which I highly recommend on this game). The ambient lighting at the back of the playfield really helps brighten up the machine, with no visible dark areas anywhere. Ball launches always feel rewarding, but there is minimal challenge in hitting a skill shot. The use of 2 sets of pop bumpers is strange, as I feel those below the "abc" lanes could have been replaced with something else, but it is a minor gripe, and probably one not many others share. The dmd screen on the playfield is my favorite toy. Amusing to watch in attract mode, as the games humor is present throughout. Shooting the bank, and opening/closing the door with the side ramp shot is a decent feature, but its presentation is fairly lackluster. Land grab, aka wizard mode, is the highlight. Once you collect all properties (which are displayed on the gameboard on the playfield) you'll keep coming back for more, hoping to 'own it all" again. The blinking light that tracks your position on the Monopoly board is clever, as is its integration into the gameplay/code. Another fine machine brought to you by the talented Pat Lawlor. Highly recommend owning one, especially in a family-oriented setting.

I really want to like this game because of the theme. Maybe I need more time on it but I just couldn't understand it. It was so much junk on the Plainfield it's looks like a mess. Either way I think they could have done a way better job with this.

Monopoly is a fun game to play with the whole family. Playfield has a lot going on in it but it all works so well. This pin has me coming back for one more game. I like how I have guest over that aren’t really into pinball liking Monopoly.

Look I love this game for many reasons other than the obvious - 4Flippers, 4Ramps, 4Multiball, 4Players!!!! It's the game my kids want to play with me more than most of the pins we have and if you check my game profile I have many, about 9 games ranked above Monopoly on pinside.
The Music is groovy when playing and when it's game over the double drum kickers kick in like on Van Halen's Hot For Teacher!! Sick Stuff.
You also get to play 2 games at once the board game and the Pinball game.
You get 6 Pop Bumpers!
Race the Dog and try get him electrocuted putting the ball in the electric station to help win the race (included on the DMD).
The Shot on Rail Road Rap is different, close but still cool.
Shorting through the Pop Bumpers to orbit is awesome.
Rolling the dice up the middle and then for an extra ball after racking up 35% in the power station.
Constant spinning Water works flipper which is also part of a Skill Shot with 4 different areas to plunge and land the ball.
The Bank Shot up the middle is like The Simpsons Garage shot!
The Monopoly Board Game in the middle with counting lights and the call outs telling you your progress and what to do next.
OK and if you can get to wizard mode !!!! enjoy the Game of Pinball Monopoly dude's and dudet's.

Crowded playfield with lots going on - some fun, and others somewhat annoying. Not a bad game, but not up to the level of others from this era.

emmmm.... there was so much in there.... Not sure what was going on. Only played it a couple of times because it was on site and didn't really want to get into it.

The shots flowed well. Easy enough to make the ramps. the spinning flippers is unique and annoying and awesome all at the same time. Lots of different shots so there is always something to shoot at.

I'm sure with some more time on it, and patience, it would work on you and get better as play went on. I hope... It looks like it would anyway...

I'm not even sure I'd consider this an average pinball machine at best and I think I'm being kind! It sure looks interesting at first glance but once you play a game you realize this game is a dud! I know it's from the legendary Pat Lawlor but man o man this game is just a slow playing, boring pinball machine based a theme that all of us have played as a board game. I wouldn't even recommend this pinball machine in a large collection. The game really has no staying power and the game play leaves alot to be desired. They took the greatest Board Game ever made and created a Bored Game! I can honestly say without hesitation this is Pat Lawlor's worst pinball design EVER! HORRIBLE!

Never really wanted to buy one, but was offered one at a great price. The more I play it and understand the ruleset the more I think its not as bad as i thought it was. Still not enough to want to keep it in the collection, but good enough to play for a while until im ready to trade it.
Layout is interesting. and the shots are tight and pretty tough.
Will say that the water works flipper is one of the worst mechs ever put in a game. really serves no purpose and is also very hard to adjust to work properly after many years of play.

I just finished overhauling my NIB Monopoly from 2002, Wax, rubbers, LED's, Color DMD, Mods, etc. With modern lighting, art blades, and some tasteful Mods, this game looks so much better than stock. I love the smooth and fast play, there are no brick shots in this game, and with the color DMD the animations pop. This was my first pinball and it will never leave my collection. Love this game, it is very underrated.

Monopoly has grown on me over time. I used to dislike it but now I get its appeal. A great pin for casual players.

Monopoly is a lot of fun packed into a regular sized playfield. Lots to do, lots to shoot for. If you enjoy the boardgame, you will really enjoy the pinball machine too. At the start it seems like almost too much packed onto the playfield, but once you get to understand the rules and what to shoot for and when, it flows wonderfully and is a treat to play. I love it!

I have this in my collection and family loves it. Stern did a good job turning board game into pinball. Pat has a certain feel to his designs and this one has the same feel to it. I like the game play and will keep this around to break up some of my other titles

My only issue with this machine is the "cheap" feel and look of:
The playfield artwork has many blank spots in the back, the wiring and plastic ramps.
Even the pixels on the back box side artwork.

I wanted to like this a lot. I'm a huge fan of the board game, but this machine just didn't have much that stands out for me. There's not much to keep me coming back. Not a terrible game, and I'll toss in a few quarters once in a while, but there's just no "wow" factor on this one.
