First Pin

Written by SealClubber, published December 29th, 2009. 2 comment(s).

I was helping my friend move into his new house in Kentucky when I noticed this pin sitting in pieces in the corner of his basement. I made a comment about it and my friend was mad because this piece of crap was left there for him to throw away. I said I would take it and I now had my first pin. The thing was a wreck and I had no idea how to fix it but the internet is a wonderful thing. I ordered a new dualplug PCB from Tom Callahan and he helped me troubleshoot the game until we got it running. The backglass was in horrible condition. It needed 3 coils, a high power section upgrade and a whole lot of TLC. But finally, I had a pretty nice pin. This machine got me back into the hobby after almost a decade hiatus so it will always have a fond spot in my heart.

I ended up selling it to a guy for $725 on 30 APR 2010. This is his first pin. Technically I lost out on some money on the deal but I had to make room for a Spiderman.
