A must play game. I used to say must have but the price....blegh...so fun and love that it's not a trademark. Merlin cracks me up. Sir Psycho is great. Awesome game, really, a true classic, just pricey as hell.

This game is HIGHLY overrated, and yes I actually own one. Don't get me wrong the game is fun but lacks depth.

The ball time are really too long, even with outlanes opened, the balls are easy to keep in play. This machine doesn't keep my interest.

This is the best game ever produced, I like it even better than Monster Bash and that game is a perfect 10!

If anyone really loves pinball this game is hard not to like. The shots require a certain amount of skill and the rules are very deep. The game flows well and you need to make precise shots to rack up big points. This is truly one of my favorite machines.

Certainly one of the best. Personally prefer Attack from Mars. This machine tends to fall apart easily and the drains are not very forgiving. Great theme, and voice actors are great. Really nice mix of humor and theme.

Only real problem is the game is to erratic. The machine has to many unredeamable balls, out lanes are pretty big and the center flippers could be a hair closer together, which really can suck when you have to shoot the center for the castle and it comes right through the center of the flippers. Just sucks when 95% of the balls lost are totally impossible to have saved.

Although having many same elements compared to AFM (my personal favourite machine), MM is refreshingly different in software providing more challenge in good and also in bad way. Finishing Battle for the Kingdom is one of the hardest feats found in any pinball of 90s. Royal Madness is probably the best single ball mode there is. The machine can be frustratingly hard for beginners and if you feel that the game is only about shooting castle all over again, you are doing it wrong! (or playing the game in competition)

The only things I don't like about the game are that you might end up being stuck with trolls if you already played your multiball madness without them and Merlin hole is not that good keeping direct shots in the hole but bouncing them out.

I absolutely adore this pin. Very deep ruleset. Absolute dedication to it's theme and some pretty good pop cultural references and jokes in the dialog. When it comes down to it, this pin is just a ton of fun. There is a reason it is ranked so highly and so expensive. If you can afford it, this table is a must-have. I only hope to one day defeat the King of Payne.

This is the game that I always head straight to at pinball shows! Great fan layout of shots with all the humorous quips and dramatic sound effects as you battle to destroy the King of Payne. The exploding castle is loved by everyone, but it does hold up the gameplay. Trolls are annoying and block some of your shots. Deservedly #1 on Pinside.

The Nadia Comaneci/ Bo Derek of pinball.
The perfect ten.
Although I love TZ, MM has all the right moves and should considering the advancement in time over it.

A blockbuster game! Right on the heels of Twilight Zone, as one of the best pins ever made. Extremely expensive machine! A true investment, as prices continue to sky-rocket, but all for good reason though. Brilliant game design so good it inspired other greats like LOTR. Brian Eddy, who gave us AFM and Shadow, goes all out on this one with guns blazing. Similar to other Williams games durings its release (Scared Stiff & Monster Bash), the gameplay is rather simple but fun. Eddy's take on Monty Python is the showpiece. Hilarious art & DMD dots (cat catapault), laugh-out-loud sfx/vox (includes Tina Fey as damsel), & fitting score. The best wizard mode ending in pinball. You'll feel like a million bucks. MM's "King of Payne" castle is the best toy in pinball without question. Brian Eddy wasn't content destroying people's design aspirations with AFM's martian mothership. Everyone stops in their tracks to watch you blow it up. This game is not to be missed! A true spectacle and work of art.

Like this game but shooting the castle can get repetitive.

Amazingly fun, incredibly addictive, and pretty freakin' hilarious to boot. Truly one of the all-time greats. If you can't afford a real machine,(like me), the next best thing is an astoundingly well realized virtual version found in "Pinball Hall Of Fame:The Williams Collection". Its available on Xbox 360 and PS3. It is truly a bargain for all the great tables in the game. I highly recommend seeking it out.

one of the best pins i've ever played.

i love the theme...the playfield, lighting, playfield toys, sound, etc - they all seem to flow really, really well with the table's theme. there's great speech (love the one with the monty python-esque french dude, LOL) to go along with it.

and how can you go wrong with a castle in the back with a working drawbridge and gate??? taking down the castle always brings a smile to my face.

add in that the rule set is pretty well defined, easy to follow (for specific shots/modes/etc), etc and you've got yourself a home-run pin.

i just wish they weren't so expensive....i'd have one in my house right now.

An extremely challenging game with rare ease of control for how complex it is. So many character voices and personalities make this one a hoot to play.

At first it wasnt that fun, but then I started playing it some more on my XBOX 360. Then I played it some more and got the liking of the theme and game play. pick up a copy of PINBALL HALL OF FAME WILLIAMS COLLECTION. It also has Tales Of The Arabian Nights, No Good Gophers, and like 8 others.
