Marble Queen is a game that most pinheads would not know what to do with. This is a good thing. Learn from your past to play better in the FUTURE!

The Pros:
This game is a BUNCHAFUN! When properly setup and maintaned, this game is super bouncy/nudgy and will make you activate every time the ball hits a flipper/rubber. We will see similar lower PF layouts in the future like Spanish Eyes...

The Cons:
A fresh rubber set on this game is an absolute must. Finding one. Breaking any of the "marbles"means you will have to learn how to make your own replacement parts. Gobble holes, ugh...

The Takeaway:
A great game to really sink your woodrail teeth into. Find one if you can and nudge on! I got to play this game at vfwpinball.com]

Update:
That gobble hole is one of the largest I have ever seen. I have also never seen so many beautiful swim suit clad sirens playing marbles... ever. A fun game to play. Enjoy it if you can find it!

Art.

Gorgeous playfield art and backglass. 1953, playing marbles must have been the equivalent of the Nintendo Switch!

Only negative is that lower playfield lighting could be better.

Gameplay and rules.

This is where the game excels and has possibly one of the best sets of rules on any EM ever produced. Multiple ways to win.

1. Score millions.
2. Score single points.
3. Unlight A, B, C and D to light special.
4. If all 5 balls go in center gobble hole win special.
5. Unlight pop bumpers 1 through 9 in order to light button at top of p/f for unlimited specials.

Playing the game.

Wow, I can only talk about my game but it is the fastest woodrail I have ever played and all original coils/not hi-tapped.

The pop bumper in the middle offers some crazy action with many balls destined to drain are suddenly saved. Have to be on toes at all times.

It is a real challenge to unlight bumpers 1 - 9 and in addition to special button being lit, the pop bumper between the flippers lights for 100000. Now is the time to seriously score big and win by scoring millions.

These kind of games with multiple ways to win mean having to alter strategy depending on how you are doing. For example if you lose the first 3 balls down the gobble hole, you suddenly want the last 2 to also go down the hole!

In addition each time a ball goes down the gobble hole, one of the lower playfield button lights to award a point. So, strategy moves to trying to win the game by beating it on single points.

And sometimes you may take out A, B, C and only need D to win so D becomes the focus of attack.

This game is 1953. The ruleset is genius. Every game is different. You have to be thinking of strategy all the time. Slow and boring it isn't!

I think if people were able to put time on a well maintained example, they would start to appreciate how good a game this is.

For me, this is one of the best games of the 50's, and one of the best games of all time. It's the woodrail equivalent of Medieval Madness or Attack from Mars!
