Its very fun. Interesting concepts, such as the open inlane on the right flipper, the double lanes on the right side, and the no inlane left flipper. Skill shot is hard enough to want to try to get it. Drop targets are randomly hit by the pops, which is kind of fun. Not as fast as a modern game, but fun to play.

The back glass is really corny, and perhaps not very PC, but times have changed since the '70s...Sounds are decent enough, i do like the gottlieb chime randomizer relay to help give some variety. Everything is brass in this game, which is a work of art under the hood. Very well thought out operator features makes reliability good and easy of service a joy to work on if needed.

The Bad: Do not get your decagon score reels wet - they will melt faster than the wicked witch of the west. The cabinet are is boring, doesnt fit the theme and is not a color match to anything else on the game. The relay controlled, AC dual pops are not that great, even with the game on high tap.

All in all, a great early 1970's EM with a lot of character and staying power.

Precursor to the ever popular 'Atlantis' great layout will challenge your pinball skills. Good shots are rewarded, poor will be death. Theme is not everyone's taste, but campy. Ball return gate is a gimmick and bonus count is slow (remedied by the time Quick Draw was released). Gottlieb was coming into a great era of 3" flipper games until the end of the EMs and Lawman shows off the potential of great things to come. Worth a play anytime.

Great two player game from GTB. Fun and challenging with bright colorful artwork, I played this a lot as a kid and finally found one to buy and brought it in. The game lives up to the memories much to my delight.

Set it up steep. wax the p/f and put orange dot coils on the flippers and get ready for a wild bumpy ride! This game will test your skills, It looks wide open and easy but it is not, Screams just one more game. Hard game to find but well worth the search.

Sheriff/Lawman is a really cool shooters table.

The Pros:
Great shots all over the table. For something that looks so wide open, how does the action on this deck move so quickly? I like the gate on the right. I also like Atlantis without it. Personally, I like the 2 player BG a bit more as there is more real estate for the artwork.

The Cons:
Suffers from EM multiplayer syndrome. Atlantis is an improvement on this design. Once again, rules are king built on a great playfield layout.

The Takeaway:
Sherriff/Lawman is a great design. However, knowing better, Atlantis is what this game should have been from day 1.

Nice 2-Player from Gottlieb. Nice backglass, cabinent art is just ok. Great playfield with 10 drop targets, 2 outer return lanes with gate. Fun machine.
