Does not matter that this is Data East or that it's based off a pretty bad movie . . . it's a great pin! Everyone says it's under rated but I'm not sure how it could even get low ratings. Fast, fun and flow are all outstanding. Only nitpicks are backglass art and GI lighting in middle above flippers (it's too dark). Other than that, lot's of fun. Great skillshot using gun, nice feature of missile to collect all lit targets. Bets multiball of any game I've played (6) and the shaker motor is VERY well integrated into game adding a ton to the experience and fun. Add cliffys to all 3 holes and add a new translight from Ebay and you're good to go!

I love this game & that's why i own one. how could you not like it with so many features to complete to get to the main goal (World Premier). I have rated the sound & music very high due to the fact you have dialogue & music from the movie (Arnie's famous I'll be back & AC/DC's Big Guns) just to name a couple. I have also rated the backglass in accordance with the one on my pin which is the image of the movie poster released when it was in cinemas.
Great machine for a great price, not rated as high as it should be more than likely due to the fact the movie wasn't the greatest which i didn't mind at all & liked how Arnie was actually bagging himself for most of the movie. Could be worse & Data East could have made a Junior, Kindergarden Cop or Twins machine.Anyway at the end of the day it is all a matter of prefference & opinion.

I love this game. I always come back to it. Great game you can pickup at a cheap price. Lots to shoot for, very cool magnets, crane is awesome and smart missle option is cool. My favorite Arnold game to date.

Deep play, lots of action, and lots of fun for a bargain price. Fun game that is better if you have never seen the movie it is based on. Definitely recommend for the pinball player who is looking for a lot of value without spending $5000 for an "A List" game.

Game has so much to do and won't get bored with it easily. Movie was crap but music is good and sound effects straight from movie which is good. Design seems very rugged for lots of abuse.

The best mod for this game would be a new translite. Actually a really good game to play, great flow decent rule set for a DE. Good bang for buck a underrated game.

I had played this game before and thought it was pretty cool. But I recently bought one and after I finished cleaning, fixing and waxing it this game is awesome!!!! The rules set is deep and the toys are fantastic. there is a ton to do and many things to go after. I admit the translite takes a lot of getting used to but can also be changed out.

The artwork kills this game for ever getting highly rated whihc is a travesty. Translite is terrible and the cabinet art is mediocre. But I for one couldn't care less about the artwork. This game is flat out awesome and a "best bang for the buck" pin. 3 magnets, 13 modes, 1 wizard mode, 2 combo shots, drop targets and great crane toy that makes you work for it - it's not a "give me". Nudging and clean shots are necessary otherwise it's a drain monster. With that being said, people often get discouraged from playing this as it is a difficult pin. If this machine is fully working it's a blast and I personally highly recommend it. One of the better DE games for sure.

Horrible looking game... and the sounds really suck! Playability wise it's not too bad, but unfortunately suffers from the old DE quality issues of inferior materials, sound insulation (sounds clonky) etc...

This game is a blast to play when working properly. The crane is fun and the game play is fast enough to keep you from getting bored. Overall I really like the pace of the game, but the movie was crap and the the cabinet and back glass should be better.

Not a bad game, tipical Data east with same rules, dark game:you have to open the light on your gameroom if you don't want to lose your ball, lot of detail on the playfield, see the movie before playing

I love this game it has everything you could want in a pin. I know there are better pins out there but for the money Last Action Hero is an awesome game.

This machine plays as good as any of the top 10 machines. Fantastic flow. Great Sound. Art and theme is just plain ugly unless your an Arnold fan.
Reminds me of Adams Family. Underrated. Great machine for what it usually sells for. good bang for the buck. Turn the shaker motor off, it's annoying.

One of the most pleasant surprises you'll come across. A bomb of a movie you'll have to disregard, when approaching this solid Data East pin. A "smile on your face" good time if your into flow games. Flowing shots, shaker motor, police beacon, and surprising amount of modes/depth. Kickback feature from Jurrasic Park returns, and is still a rush! Lots of very cool magnets, which includes the sweet crane toy that redirects the ball. Lots of humorous DMD animations and sounds (Arnold vox). Arnold's Hamlet match game sequence is hilarious (To be or not to be? Not to be! *Hamlet throws bad guy out a window). Killer soundtrack on this game attempts to topple DE's own Guns n' Roses as #1. You'll be headbanging to AC/DC's "Big Gun", Megadeth's "Angry Again", and Queensrÿche's "Real World". Main gripe with this pin is the art. The PF art is not too bad, but sideart/translite are mediocre at best. Do not pass the chance to play LAH if you find one! Very affordable pin. Great bang for your buck!

This game plays well and keeps your attention. The crane is an awsome gimmick. Its a very fun pin but not very challenging. This is a great game to have for giving guest something to do.

A terrible backglass, poor art and lacking audio are the cons.
Gameplay, playfield features and gadgets, many modes are the pros.
I like to play the game again and again and again!

Much better than you would think. Just picked it up and I enjoyed the movie as a kid so I enjoy the theme of the pin. Crane is alot of fun and quotes are funny.
