I play this game on route and every time I put two dollars in for three games. It is a fun game that I like playing a lot, but it is a little wood choppy and by the third game I am ready to walk away till my next visit. Some games are flow for days while other are brick city population, me! Is it a great game? Yes, but I don’t think it is Elwin’s best game let alone #2. Top five, definitely. Will I own it someday? I hope so.

Love this game so much that I had to buy it for my collection and it's bolted to the ground. Great, great game. One of my top 5 games.

Superb game with a deep ruleset and very good flow, so many shots just feel so satisfying to shoot on this one. It has immersive gameplay but doesn't score high with me on artwork nor audio/video. It shoots so good and the rules are so well implemented that this overshadows my dislike of theme implementation. For me his is a top 10 game and among the best of the modern pins.

what a pleasure. I expected a hard, complicated, incomprehensible flip for a beginner like me. With shots that only a select few were capable of making.
A flip where you had to play 3 hours on it to hope to do something. Despite the theme that I adored and my children too (3 and a half and 2 and a half years old) I had passed my turn.
Well, I was surprised, not punitive at all, at the same time I was used
to the turtle (before the save post mod of
Yoyokopter Mod), Understandable for a beginner, without going into the subtleties.
I find the ramps very satisfying to do.
Some shots are still hard, the hurries are still too fast for me yet. But I don't know the flip well enough.
In short all that to say that if like me you will shun the JP as a beginner, thinking that it was only for the tryharder. Well worth a try because he is really nice

I already rated the pro version, played previously. Now, I have Premium since few weeks.
The gameplay is almost the same. It's a deep rules. The X2 in the raptor multiballs is a plus.
The cabinet artwork is very nice to this version. The best of the three for me.
The noise of the helicopter is fun(style "apocalypse now!). I play with headphone.
But the most impressive is the T-Rex. It's a real interaction with the player. It's fantastic!!! It caches the ball, roars, shakes his head and place the ball in the ramp.
I'm not a fan of the shaker. But on JP, this is essential.
A great game!

I played the pro and loved it... after reading all the comments saying how much better the premium played with the mobile T-rex and raptor pit I am very happy to have spent the extra loot on the premium. (That said, dont be afraid of the pro if the budget does not allow an upgrade...its awesome as well.)

The game is a challenge but shoots very fair. It will take quite some time for anyone in our house to progress to Escape Nublar... but the “just one more game” factor is huge on this one.

I have been playing many machines but after playing JP Pinball Premium I immediately knew this would be my first Pinball to purchase. It was just so much fun and I knew I could play this for hours and hours on end without getting bored.

I played this pin a lot on location but it took a while for me to understand, after reading the rules a few times it really started to grab my attention. A+ theme, shots and rules. I don't know how Keith did it, 4 ramps and it doesn't seem crowded! T-Rex is one of the greatest toys in pinball.

This table absolutely blows me away. I’m not a fan of Jurassic park (like I like it, but I’m not dying for a pinball table of it) but after playing it…I’m dying for a pinball table of it!!

Finally got enough time in on this one to add a rating - had the Premium for a couple months now, this is a game that probably won't leave the collection. Plenty of shots on the playfield - across varying difficulty levels - keeps things interesting and encourages new strategies for scoring. The modes generate a lot of excitement - especially any of the T-Rex modes as well as the Raptor Pen multi-ball. It's nice that there is one easy multi-ball that can be achieved from the start of a game, and a couple more that require a bit more work to achieve - but we've managed to get T-Rex, Raptor, and Chaos multi-ball modes in a single game a number of times which is a lot of fun. The ramp shots are satisfying, especially the right ramp, smart-missile shot is challenging and very rewarding to hit - upper flipper shots are somewhat difficult at times, but also satisfying. The control center modes are harder to kick off than I'd like, because it can be a pretty difficult shot - but those modes are also a lot of fun and can be completed even as an average player. Overall, a fantastic game from a gameplay perspective. The artwork on the premium - cabinet is 10/10, backbox art is divisive - I think it's 'fine' - some of my neighbors/friends think something is 'off' about it - but it's easy enough to replace and there are plenty of options. The playfield art is 'fine' - it's colorful and fits the theme, but it's basic at the same time. The Stern default A/V package is pretty good - if you don't mind generic voice actors, animations, and music - you get some of the main Jurassic Park score which I think is about the only thing that brings anything authentic to the 'theme' - and even though the animations are custom - they are good (not BKSOR or Deadpool good, but much better than some other Stern games). The main con for me on this one is some of the issues - seems like I am constantly adjusting the upper flipper alignment, T-Rex alignment values, and power settings to get the game to play the way it should - but when it's dialed in, it plays great. Ultimately, a great game for casual players, average players, and pros with plenty of replay value, one of the few pins I've picked up NIB that I felt was completely worth the price of admission.

This game is a dream theme for me. I have been able to really spend time on this machine and am now on the hunt to purchase one. The animation is great, just wish that movie clips were included along with call outs.

I could go on and on about Keith Elwin’s superb Jurassic Park table. The combo shots are incredible. The exhilarating speed, the fastest loop shot I’ve ever played, the cinematic sound design, the awesome ball munching/ball throwing TRex. The excellent difficulty curve, and most satisfying spinner shot of all time IMHO. The addictive gameplay, and variations. The choose-your-own-adventure style map progression, etc. etc.

It is the first table that my wife and I bought, and we got it brand new. Even with that kind of cash saved up, and pretty much any table at our discretion to own, there wasn’t a debate on which one we wanted. Between the theme, the fun factor, the challenge, and the projected longevity, it was a no-brainer.

So let’s talk about a few flaws.

* Theme integration. Given the lack of assets, the team did an excellent job at giving you a different perspective on the events of the first film. As someone who holds this movie in very high regard, I’m actually glad there are very few movie callouts - I don’t want to hear the same lines of one of my favorite movies over and over and over again. I looked into the modified software for this game where they add in movie video and sound, and... I don’t think I’ll ever install it. It’s well done, but for me, as a huge JP fan, it would get annoying. A lot of it just doesn’t make sense with the specific story the game is trying to tell. All said, I realize this is a very subjective take on the theme integration. I can absolutely see how the lack of film assets would bum some people out, and I thought I was gonna feel the same way, but after owning it and playing it hours every day, it’s actually a positive. Also, some tables really feel like they’re reaching to tie in the theme. When the theme is wide open like Stern’s JP, you can make a custom adventure, and that’s something I really enjoy about this table.

* Shooter lane is finicky. Simple fix, but a bit of an oversight.

* Voice acting isn’t good. I’m a big fan of crappy b movies, and Shenmue is one of my favorite games of all time, so I have a soft spot in my heart for crappy voice acting. It doesn’t bother me, but I can see how it could get annoying to some. The Sam Jackson impression is humorously bad XD

* My personal biggest complaint about this game is more of a Stern-specific complaint. I really dislike their generic arrows and circles and squares that litter the playfield. I understand that the rules need to be displayed clearly, but it just makes all their playfields kinda generic and unexciting. It’s like they had some boring board meeting 10 years ago, where a group of non-artists focus-grouped a bunch of non-pinball players on how to communicate the table rules. It’s 2019, yall. We have the tech for video and audio callouts - we don’t need the beautiful playfield art to be ruined by these generic, ugly road signs. Stern, please stop this “best practices” crap, because I know the artists probably hate it too.

The ball eating TRex is by far one of the best toy/gimmick ever put in an pinball machine. Literally every single person that has seen and/or played the game absolutely LOVES the TRex. The rule set is deep and basically impossible for a casual player to explore or even get very far. Although this could be a be negative the fact is this game is FUN for the casual player. One feeding of the TRex followed by the roar and the shaking of game by the "options;" but virtually required shaker motor and they're inevitably hooked regardless how complicated the rules or even how far they progress through the park. If you are going to install one thing I recommend the shaker motor its overall impact on the game cannot be overstated. The amber shooter knob looks amazing and the Goat Mania Mode addition by the topper makes it worth the extra expense. Overall one of the best pinball games. It has some negatives such as the limited amount of licensed assets but that is overcome by actual play of the game.

My first Elwin layout; it does not disappoint. Sweet game, I had considered going pro... since it’s not missing much gameplay wise. I’m Very glad I went with a premium. Pinball eating t-rex is the best gimmick in pinball, his jaw even moves when he roars with the pinball in his mouth. Difficult game, which is perfect for a home use pin.

One of the top games, ever. You want to keep playing it. Kids like it, a couple of easy multi balls and a moving dinosaur that shakes. Deep game play, rule set. Some great satisfying shots and combos. There are some difficult shots that make it frustrating, but I keep coming back again and again.

This is SUCH a fun game. My wife, kids and everyone absolutely LOVE this game. Even when guests come over they are drawn to this game and tough to get them off of it! A shaker is an absolute MUST mod for this game. Feeling the footsteps during the TRex chase and during the TRex roars for multiball is awesome, not to mention even when the jeep falls off the cliff and other animations. Awesome integration. This hooks the beginners with the toys and gameplay as well as advanced players with the tougher shots. I hope to never have to sell this one!

JP Premium is the greatest modern pinball machine for a homeowner. It provides the ultimate combination of shot diversity and code depth to keep novices and experts engaged for the long run. So. Much. Fun. My whole family enjoys it!

With that said, there are significant differences between the premium and pro that one should be aware of. The animatronic T-Rex and captive ball raptor pen add a lot to game play and fun factor. What’s the point of having a lifeless T-Rex? And what an adrenaline rush we get from bashing that raptor gate when it is primed for a multi-ball!

For what it’s worth, I really enjoy the artwork on the premium! I tried not to let the negative reviews of the pro artwork affect my opinion. Which, yeah...

And finally, Stern was not able to acquire real movie assets for this pin. But who cares? Get over it. Did you really want them overspending in this space only to jack up the price, or even worse, decrease the play field quality? Think about it. Stern probably knew that someone out there would care enough about that issue to fix it, which is exactly what happened.

I had played the pro model many times and liked it. but that version the dinosaur doe not do anything, it is static. But the game is so much fun and challenging that I wanted more. I have had pinballs for over 30 years but this is the first pinball that I bought new in box. and I bought the premium version because of the active ball eating and ball throwing dinosaur. I was very worried at first about issues with the Dinosaur but no problems with it so far. This is a HUO so I am hoping for the best with the active Dinosaur. All of my friends that visit me like this one the best, they say its fast and fun. Also the newton Ball jeep is a cool feature.

Wow! Just helped a friend unpack a brand spanking new JP Premium. Amazing in every aspect; art on wrap and playfield, game rules, booming sound quality, moving T-rex toy, three ramps, three flippers, crazy combos, fantastic quality screen, etc.
