Judge Dredd is a great game. It has great humor, great sound and great flow. Lots of modes, however wizard mode could have been better. Theme fits the game well and musics rocking. Super game is good for a change but its flail away , its an add on thats played once in awhile. Game is fast and wont be leaving my collection and as said before it has bang for the buck.

This game has so much going on at a great price. Tons of flow. Perfect use of a widebody. Theme isn't my favorite, but I can get past that easily for a quality game like this.

Great pin, lots to do and the pin has great animations and call outs. It can be brutal though, the ramps appear to be easy enough to hit, but are deceptively difficult and are quite steep. If you are slightly off your game JD will make you pay. If you are hitting shots though, the game has tons of flow and is very rewarding. The artwork has grown on me and I prefer the comic art vs. pictures of actual people like seen on many themed pins. Additionally, the extra ball feature and super game are also added bonuses that make this a great game, especially considering the affordable price it normally commands.

Negatives in my opinion are the game is dark and would benefit from spotlights strategically placed. The unavailability of cabinet art is also a drawback and should be considered if you are looking for a CQ version.

Love this game. So much to do, super fast, a cool wizard mode that is obtainable, great artwork and excellent treatment of the theme. And Supergame is great, wish more of the super pins had it. You really need the deadworld mod though, as without it the biggest, coolest toy is crippled. Love it love it love it.

Just shopped a JD and have been playing it quite a bit. Added the deadworld mod (which I agree is a must). The game has a little of everything....four flippers, drop targets, a magnetic crane that picks up the balls, a planet disk that holds the balls, etc. It is unique. It plays with 9 balls, has a selectable Super Game mode, and is a widebody. Game play can be tough, especially draining down the middle, and is a little choppy. The theme (a comical futuristic crime fighter), as everyone knows, is not widely known in the US. Overall, it is a good solid game with lots of toys and unique features. People are usually surprised by it since it isn't so widely played/known.

Fun Game and one of the best wide bodies. Has many features and plenty to shoot at.

Maybe the best bang-for-your-buck pin ever. Lots of stuff to do and ramps everywhere. Good flow too. The artwork is excellent and I love the dark humor. The eagle topper is hideous, but necessary, since they notched the backbox to fit it. No pop bumpers is a plus. So glad the theme isn't based on the movie, because that's the only thing keeping me from buying Demo Man.

My all-time, favorite pin. Love the theme, adult humor, great animations and speech, awesome cabinet art, unusual shots and toys. A very underrated and unique experience... not to mention SUPER GAME....!

Very fun to play, fast and furious with 6 balls in play, another under rated W/B game, great bang for the buck, would own one again!

too dark in the middle of the field, not very reliable and the crane is a beach to fix and keep working, but once working gives an enjoyable game ,just be careful of the drains, it likes to drain overall loved the comic book, but I think the machine missed the mark and could have used a bit longer in development.also the music can wear after awhile, would have been nice to have an option for a different track or old school techno drone, a la elektra.

So much to do on this widebody game. Lots of flippers, ramps, wireforms, multi-balls, you name it. Tons of fun, especially for the price. The Judge rules! Case Closed!

Hate the themeing but a decent game with lots of ramps and good flow, an Ok rule set.

My second pin, I really like the theme as a comic nerd, and the game follows the humor of the comic well, and the art is fantastic. That said, I think this game is light on toys and features but it makes up for it in speed.

I owned this game, and this has to be the best bang for the buck DMD out there. While I'm not a huge fan of the widebody style, this game does it well.

Pros:

Theme is dark with some great humor.
Has some great flow to it.
Playfield and backglass look good.
Deadworld is cool when modded and LED's added to it.
Sound is crisp and good for the game.
TONS of shots! Wow, does this game have a ton of shots!
Lots of modes for last-ability.
Supergame mixes things up.

Cons:

Rules need to be fleshed out more and are lacking.
Not a huge fan of cabinet artwork.
Lighting wise, the game is dark. Best bet is to tastefully add LED's. Also, some hard to reach bulbs may be out (such as under the subway plastic).
Multiball isn't that fun and exciting due to only two shots being worthwhile.
Left ramp feels a bit over-used given that there are so many shots in this game.

Not a great fan of wide bodies but this is a good game, tons of shots and flow. Another of those 'bang for buck' pins. If you like the theme, you will probably like the pin.

Dredd is a great game to be had on the cheap.

Own(ed): Yes

Times Played: approx 200

Positives:
Wow, so many shots...great PF design. Ramps are nice and smooth. Wizard mode is achievable and fun. Lots of modes! Lots of wireforms!

Negative:
The flippers have a wierd feeling to them, an almost disonnected feeling. Hard to explain, but there is something missing from the game that keeps it from being truely great. Crime scene shot could have been better interagted. Theme is obscure to US citizens. Intact topper hard to find. Super game is a flail fest.

Recomendation:
You can't beat this game on a pruely bang for the buck value. Recommened!

One of the best games in its price range. I have owned two over the years and wouldn't mind another one falling in my lap someday.

I love the cabinet on this game and there are a lot of shots and a ton of modes. IT does leave me a little wanting though and I can't really put my finger on what is missing. I think that because there is so much jammed into the widebody cab, it feels as though the playfield is tiny. (if that makes any sense?!)

Great game. Like the artwork and humor in game. DMD animations are great. Very fast game and fairly deep. Also awesome if has deadworld mod! Makes me want to read 2000ad comics.

This pin is a lot of fun. Comic book style art is amazing on this pin. Love all of the different ramps, four flippers and drop targets. Theme is a bit weird, but at least this pin wasn't based on the movie. One of the best "bang for your buck" pins!

I love this pin, its fast and the theme is great. This is my Spider man (stern), which isn't bad but I find the stern machines lack the personality of the 90's williams bally games...ZOD

This game is NOT based on the Stallone movie and came out a few years after. It is based on the comic book.

A game that is truly a under appreciated gem. Tons of modes, tons of things to shoot for, this game is not for wimps. Lots of hidden ways to shoot and things to hit. Question mark target affects almost every mode in a different way. Choose your mode with the action buttons. Dark satirical humor makes me smile every time I play it. Cool topper that was almost cut because of budget constraints. I'm glad they left that in! Triple stacked wire form ramps, large swooping plastic ramps, 3 captive balls, 4 flippers, a bank of 5 drop targets! with a hidden subway behind, multiple VUKs, 2 Steve Ritchiesque upper loops, holy smokes!

You must play with the Deadworld mod. This puts the game back to its original design. Its the coolest ball locking mechanism ever made. Artwork is stellar. Upgrade the speakers and it completely rocks! My kids love the Super Game for instant multi-ball!

This game has almost everything you'd want in a pinball, except pop bumpers. But you won't miss them. JD flows with the best of them and makes my STTNG playfield feel sparse.
