I’m a big GNR fan and have been to multiple concerts. Slash and Duff are big pinball fans and we’re involved in doing custom music and call outs. More than I can say for any other band pin. No crazy cool toys besides maybe the guitar head. Light show, music and concert clips are amazing. Love the powder coat, and cabinet artwork. Definitely worth adding a sub to the game and putting it on jukebox mode. Rule set is multiball heavy, a lot of song modes have the same objectives but with almost 20 songs they can’t all be unique. Playfield issues are upsetting. Still a keeper game for me.

Fun game, but gives you mulitball too easily and too often. I often get physically tired playing GnR and I am only 40 and in good shape.

I am rating this on the latest beta code which is getting much better. Best lighting and sound integration in pinball. Probably one of the best theme integrations ever done.

Update One Year Later: This game is fading fast. Please guys, fix the rules. The only meaningful update is the ability to cancel the awful album modes. So much potential wasted right now.

Update Two Years Later: I would sell it if I could get within a couple grand of what I paid. I guess I'll go down with the ship. Basically, GNR is a Ferrari with a Toyota Corolla engine in it.

Drove a ways to play this and felt more like a trip to museum than pinball. I mean, the game is a gorgeous piece of art and would look awesome in any home collection, but it’s simply not a great shooter. The one I played was very expensive and found myself not really wanting to continue past about 5 games - All fluff and no substance it seemed for me. Shots were ho-hum but lighting and toys do look cool. My BIGGEST beef with this game is: who made the poor choice to use fat and old GNR concert footage over young and cool GNR from their awesome videos and/or concert footage?

I've tried, but just can't get into this one....maybe it's the theme. I much prefer Aerosmith or even Led Zep. Plus, the game at the location in my area often has issues....out of service etc.

I own it. You might find a better shooter but there is no better pinball experience than this machine.

I am a huge GnR fan, but nonetheless this game is a blast! Not a shooter like a Stern, but really an amazing and fun experience.

I just took delivery on Guns and Roses last week. This pin is a work of art. Not my favorite band, but damn the lighting show and music integration is second to none. The art is spectacular. Great variety of shots. I think the game appeals to less serious players by the ease in which you can achieve multi ball. The quality is the best I’ve seen. This game will hold it’s value, but I’ll never sell it. Alien remains my favorite because of the theme, but this is the better game. Great, tight shots. Perfect difficulty. Out of 60+ pins, this is my son’s favorite. My wife likes it too and she is not particularly a pinball fan. She like Wizard of Oz too, but I was not a fan of that JJP pin.

The quality of games in the last year has just been going up and up. I thought the halcyon days of pinball were over when Williams left the scene, but JJP and recently Stern, are revitalizing the industry. Perhaps pinball will continue flourish when all the old geezers like me die off…

I think GNR is a fantastic game personally. Once again it is one of the those games that was made for a home environment where you can fully see and experience the game and what it has to offer IMHO. If I am paying a premium price then I want depth, I want challenge, I want variety and I want an experience. GNR checks all the boxes for me. For weeks I was figuring out new things and I still am to this day a couple of months later. GNR, much like POTC is not a game you walk up to and figure out in a few plays. People say, "It's a multiball fest" but they don't understand how or why to start them. They serve a big purpose in the game and they can only be started once per song, so it's not as often as you think. If you are just getting them randomly, then you are doing it wrong. The patches. Much like characters in JJPPOTC, you could take a course on the patches, their benefits and the group patch benefits. I'm still figuring strategy out with those. The album modes are all unique, single ball, and very challenging. The scoring for them needs to be adjusted, but you can't argue with the variety. Then add in a couple dozen+ songs with unique rulesets and the ability to build up value in multiple different ways before starting them and during them, not to mention the risk / reward of the jackpots during the songs. Do I push it and go for crazy high jackpots or cash out and live to play another song (hopefully)? Finally, the sound and light show are second to none, period. It is the most played game in my collection currently by far and it absolutely blows guests away like no other game when they come over and see it for the first time.

This is such a different machine—I approach this game differently than I do any other machine. I think that’s a credit to the theme integration, because when they said they were making a GNR concert experience, I think they really meant it. I’ve played better layouts, smoother machines, but when I decide that I’m gonna play a song and I get the booster multiballs going, and I’m starting up the lights, and turning on the amps, and getting the crowd going, I definitely get lost in the multiball mayhem, but it lends an air of anticipation for the show about to start. And by the time you’ve locked six balls, it feels to me like I’ve been milling around a packed venue and I get really excited that the song is beginning!

Then it’s a whole different game. The music is slamming, the lighting is beautiful, and the shots become so much fun to try to hit in the chaos of six balls, because you’re not just enjoying a show, you’re performing, and how well you do determines how far you get into and through the song. And you do it well enough, you get an encore. So many rushes of adrenaline up to and through that point. Add in the scoring incentives, the risk of pushing forward with one ball left, knowing you can lose a handsome jackpot if you don’t perform, of your can double it by doing well. It’s really something else. I really do love it—and I really am beat when I finish a game.

To me, this is a wonderful home arcade addition. I really think you need a substantial amount of time on this to develop your strategies, and to find the way of playing it that appeals most to you. In my case, I wanted big scores, and I was kind of dejected about my inability to get them for a couple of months. Then I decided to enjoy the music and the show and not think about scores, and of course, my scoring started increasing immediately. But hey, even if they didn’t, it is so much fun to play pinball while rocking out to some really good music.

This game took a good deal more effort to get playing smoothly than I’d experienced before, but once I did, all things clunky were forgotten and I really love hitting these loops and ramps. On a purely pinball level, the center scoop is so easy until you have the pressure of collecting a jackpot, and then it’s kind of hilarious how difficult it can be to hit it. The upper playfield is surprisingly excellent—nothing is difficult up there but you're foiled while you’re trying to go about your business plenty. It’s a great place to lock the ball to take stock of where you are in the game and decide what you want to take care of next.

In the end: Total immersion! Risk! Nerves! Shots! Beauty! This is a really great pin that rocks like nothing else. It’s a keeper.

This game is a looker and has the best lightshow in pinball world ! It really stands out in a collection for sure. Unfortunately the gameplay is really poor as flippers feel spongy and sloppy and the rules are a nightmare to understand (they need to be studied before your first play if you want to have the feeling to know what you are doing) and far too heavy on multiballs. Bought the LE 7 monthes ago and just sold it a couple of weeks ago. So far, i don't miss it...

The theme is integrated and unified better than any pinball machine of the past. I am not a fan of the band but teed poster art and the game art are beautifully matched. It is an unusually immersive concert experience. I absolutely love this pin and really can’t find much to complain about.

I really wanted to like GnR LE. I waited close to a year for it. Watched the videos, read the rules and then it arrived. Of course it is a beauty to look at and the lights, amazing...this pin will push lighting forward. This pin was built to sell...
The play-ability and fun just lacked. Hard to find flow, some of the modes were fun and different, but some like Slash Solo was just a constant ball drainer and a bore for me. Then there are the over abundance of multiballs and when you are trying to make your shots in song mod there are too many balls for too long getting in the way so you just start letting them drain to make room to make your shots and that just started to feel wrong, but was a decent strategy. Song modes and the risk/reward were the best part and after a while it just feels like a one trick pony.
Love their hits, the deep tracks were lacking...and now it sits looking pretty wondering what other pin I want. I just don't connect with it...

Update: Replaced it with a Rush LE. That "one more game" feeling is back. Borg hit it out of the park!

Update:
I ended up trading this. Its initial flashy jukebox allure wears off pretty quickly. The shots are not friendly to an average player. The household quickly grew tired of playing a mode through only to get low to no points. The sound is amazing and nostalgic,, but it doesn't sync up with video of the tour, because it's from their albums and not the tour.. Dont watch YouTube videos of the tour if you don't want to be disappointed. I'm happy to have owned it but am glad I was able to find an awesome trade for it.

This is an insane pinball. But not just a pinball, it doubles as a video jukebox.
Its a Cadillac or a Mercedes or what ever high end car comparison you want to use.

There is a deep rule set with lots to do to accomplish tasks and some interesting modes you can play.
Collecting the band members so you can start a song is fun and challenging. Especially figuring out the upper playfield shot to get Duff/throw the lights/lock balls.
Getting the multiballs that add to the song mode can go either way. You can get none of them or all of them at once. Makes for some crazy play.
Song modes are the best part. High scores abound if done properly. I can't seem to finish this part yet. The frustration of losing a 40mil song jackpot is a real thing.
Album modes are fun and slash solo can be tricky.
I've been able to get through all the albums, just not together.
Coma multiball is a great and fun ball save if you can make it happen.
The patches can be confusing but once you know what they do, they're a great help.

About as close to perfect as you can get. I was a huge fan of the band growing up and this pin has absolutely everything. Lots to shoot for, a great rule set, amazing lighting, toys… the only thing I wish was a bit better was the sound quality on this music pin, but I think a pinwoofer will be installed soon.

No game I've owned has risen further from zero to hero than this one. Usually they go the other way. When I first got it I was less than impressed by the game play. Right from the uneventful opening plunge (though it's very similar to Twilight Zone's and no one complains about that), GnR is a bit chaotic, confusing, and hyperactive, like a toddler after a few too many juice boxes. Multiballs are everywhere, the lights and music are blaring, the flippers seem unresponsive. I can see why it wouldn't immediately impress after a few on location plays.

As usual, Jersey Jack pins need more tweaking than Sterns. Turn up the flipper power in settings but keep the hold power lower so the coils don't get overheated after a game or two and start to fade. Those aftermarket flipper fans might go a long way as well, but I haven't gotten them yet. I also raised the lower flipper angles a bit and now the flippers feel much more responsive and powerful. As well, once I learned the rules (to a degree, anyway, I'm never an ace on rules) and the game's angles and caroms, what was constant multiball mayhem isn't any more, what was confusing is now a lot more obvious, and boy, this game is fun. Wait until you see some of those mini-wizard modes, like the War Games-themed "Shall We Play a Game?" mode. That one had me smiling all night the first time I got there.

GnR leans very heavily into its rock 'n roll theme with close to two dozen songs and lots of video clips, really great skull-and-roses artwork that fits the band, and all sorts of instrument and concert based playfield items, like a shot that travels down drumsticks, or another shot where balls travel up a guitar neck and get locked in the head, or a mock stage area with swirling spotlights. As a lover of rock pins, I couldn't ask for more in that department.

Just received my GNR LE this week (my first JJP). First, let me say that while setting up the game, I was pretty blown away by the technology (versus other games in my collection)--the menu selections are pretty remarkable. When you turn on this machine, it is simply stunning. The artwork is amazing, the light show is the best that I have seen, and it truly becomes an immersive experience. I bought this game to have an "easier", and more stimulating option for our frequent house guests. It certainly has not disappointed in that respect. It is certainly not the best playing game that I own, but it will be a pleasant diversion from JP and IM kicking my butt.
Overall impressions- very unique game, has some remarkable qualities, but lacks some in the game play department primarily due to flipper strength and being very, very multi ball heavy.

Great light show. GNR LE is a great game that is my first NIB. I expect it will be in my collection no matter how many pins we add.

I purchased this game, NIB, in mid-2021. The gameplay, sound, animations, and artwork have exceeded my expectations. This is a high-quality game that is very very fun to play. I have not come anywhere close to mastering it but look forward to playing it daily. The build quality is excellent. JJP makes a fine product!!

The Best Looking Pinball Machine ever Made

An absolute masterpiece of the world under glass, JJP nailed the theme.

Yes, It's multi-ball heavy, but that simulates the frenetic pace of playing the guitar or any other instrument live in a complex fashion.

Only knock is that it took awhile for me to get mine dialed in with the center scoop issues, and some diverter issues...Once dialed in, this pin is a beast, and a blast to play.

I spent about two hours on this game and really could not get in a groove. Not sure whether it was me or the game but overall it was an unimpressive performance.

Music and lighting are fantastic. Game is slower and fairly easy to control. Still has some complex shots that are rewarding. Best light show and fun not only to play but also watch.
