I've owned IJ for about 6 weeks and have been playing it non stop. I love the theme, the artwork all around is great, and the music is fantastic - lots of different tunes for the modes, and multiballs. I like playing all the modes but understand the criticism of others that they are mostly ramp loop based. Regardless, they are a blast to play based on the movie tie ins with quotes, animations, and music. The multiball rules are well thought out and will remind you of Fish Tales - hit three regular jackpots then pound away the super at the captive ball. The path of adventure is a nice mini pf (but I still prefer the shadow's better) and the idol lock is a very cool toy - especially how it is positioned launching the balls back onto the playfield. Narrow escape is a nice touch too.

This game can be approached from various playing objectives. When I want a quick game I just go for the ball lock and play for multiball. But if I want an adventure I'll try and play for all the modes and only lock balls if the drops are down. When my shots are on the game has nice flow but when they are off - well those are tight and frustrating shots!

IJ does have a few faults - the mode scoop needs to be adjusted to prevent bounce outs and the path of adventure needs to be dialed in to work correctly. The left side of the PF has some wasted space. Also, I wish the friends call outs were more varied then the standard one line, as you will hear those the most. The cab decals get really faded on this one but I'm looking forward to doing a complete tear down and rebuild.

Overall it's a great game and one I don't see getting bored of any time soon!

Indy has been my favorite DMD pin for a long time, it's just a wonderful example of how good a game can be when it all comes together. No other pinball embraces it's theme as well as this game, it's like playing the movies!!

Definitely a Top 10 game. I shopped one out for a friend. It has a fair amount of mechanical challenges to keep it running in tip top shape. (One challenging area is the ball trough. The opto's have issues and sometimes a nick in the trough will cause balls to hang up) Great game to play.

This game seems to play you instead of the other way around. An epic game but not my favorite Williams.

Probably the best game I have played. It is the game that really got me into pinball. Fast, Fun, lots of modes, animations, things to do/shoot for. TONS of mods available if you're into that kind of thing... The music is Iconic and sounds great. Voice call-outs are well integrated. I have "fun" playing this pinball every time....
Definitely the Holy Grail of Pinballs!

****or so I thought!
Still miss my IJ....I will find another one one day (come on CGC)!

The best Williams DMD pin ever created. No exceptions.

This machine doesn't call my name out and beg me to play like other machines. However, once I start playing, I find it very hard to walk away. After getting the mode start to quit bouncing out, I have found this pin is much more enjoyable. With 12 modes and many many shots and features, this pin has great staying power. Games can get long in order to score high and at times, for me anyway, it is hard to stay concentrated that long. With some LED's, this game has an incredible playfield. The backglass is not one to jump right out at you like earlier pins (Black Knight, Xenon) However, a backglass is only 1 item on the long list of criteria. There are many thrilling shots, and the cool toys draw all my friends and family in for a try. Because it is more complex and complicated in a way, the casual visitor to my house doesn't seemed to get hooked on IJ as quickly as they do to AFM. It took me a while to warm up to this machine and I almost got rid of it before it grew on me. At the urging of my wife and kids I kept the machine and now I am glad I did because it really provides a lot of fun for the entire family. My family for the most part rate this pin 3rd in our lineup behind AFM and BK (showing that you don't have to have the most expensive, most up to date pin to be a thrill to play)

A good game that could have been better. The pros: It has plenty of modes to keep you engaged. This is the games strength. It has smartly designed video modes like the choose wisely mode that will actually increase speed if you get to it twice in a game. The rockable boat is a nice toy that adds to the novelty of the game, but could stand to be not so loosely moving from side to side. This would need practice to master if you plan to control balls through there. Has a great theme in Indiana Jones, and uses it well and uses good quotes from the movies like "you cheat Dr. Jones" The cons: The ballflow is kind of bouncy and slow and gives you more chances to drain in the outlanes. The mode start hole area is too small and requires a precise shot. Being one of the major draws in the game, it sacrifices the fun factor, if it is hard to reach. This can be also said with the multiball hole. All other shots are fairly easy to make. I would recommend playing the game if purchasing and formulating my own opinion. Also the wizard mode could be better and requires a true wizard to make all the shots for 1 billion. Overall the game is about equal in comparison with Stern's Indiana Jones.

After owning 47 games in 7 years and playing all of the current top 50 games I have to say there is no better game than IJ. Everything about this game is amazing and I have owned it for 4 years and have well over 1000 plays on it. I cannot believe there are collectors that do not have this machine in their collection. 12 modes that are all fun and varied, 3 video modes ,path of adventure, Best animations, great music and call outs. A perfect game.

I've played this pin several times, and I have a hard time getting into it, (I guess I'm not much of an Indy fan). I like how the ball lock works and the sound effects are right from the movie. Multiball has some good target challenges that kind of reminds me of Attack From Mars, which adds good gameplay. The widebody is a good addition and the artwork is good too. A friend of mine owns this pin, and I always spend time on it!

Great theme, nice layout, neat toys, and TONS of modes. You really can't go wrong with this pin, unless you hate wide bodies. The pin also appeals to non-pinheads so it gets alot of play at gatherings.

Tight shots, really like the tilting upper field. Only negative is the time the ball spends under the upper field at times.
