Hot Hand is a game designed by Harry Williams. Not sure who programmed it, but the rules need some finesse.

The Pros:
A cool layout and a mega flipper to keep things moving up top. The playfield is cut about 2/3rds the way up the playfield with the pops. The placement of the spinner and the drops is excellent. The inserts in the middle of the playfield tell you what needs to be completed with ease at all times.

The Cons:
The suits change on so many switches, that the game has a random feel to it. The indirect lane to the extra ball is a bit of a luck shot. Reflect if off the left pop if you can.

The Takeaway:
A great early SS to get started with. Might be good in a larger collection. The software needs work and that makes a big difference with a game that should be great. Instead, it's lots of meh.

I find this game fun but hard to choose your shots because almost every switch hit in the game changes the suit of the cards. It’s too random in my opinion. The one gimmick in this game is a large 5” super flipper that sweeps continuously like a clock. The longer a ball remains in one of the pockets in the flippers path, Extra points are awarded.

two main problems with this game:
the bonus multiplier is incidental to building the bonus, which means that it also carries over ball to ball. can you picture in any other game if just reaching 10k bonus gave you a 2x multiplier? and then 15k was 3x? there are multiple useless bits of the game that could have been repurposed as a way to build your multiplier each ball, but they were too focused on using the different combinations of cards to do stuff.

2. diamonds makes the pockets valuable
spades lights extra ball, and the spinner
hearts... lights some random target behind a pop bumper for 5000?
clubs does... nothing?
just moving the spinner to clubs would improve the game immeasurably. (working on a custom rom to fix this)

also, the extra ball is in a hole you can't shoot for, and, once lit, stays lit FOR THE ENTIRE GAME, even after collecting it? craziness. there's an option to make it only light when spades is selected, which makes it balanced again, but also even less useful to possibly aim for. just turn it off once it's collected!

in general a cool table, with some nice strategy around deciding whether to shoot for drops, or change the suit to something more valuable. would be nice if the drops were angled a bit more towards the left flipper, they can be a challenge to hit, though that's not bad.

I bought this pinball just to sell and make a little money to buy another pinball I wanted. I really didn't like this game. It just didn't keep me wanting to play it. I would much rather play one of my other machines. Only got it because I got a good deal on it. I would not recommend this pinball unless you can pick it up cheap, in my opinion.

A good playable pin that can be quite challenging to get the 4 flushes to achieve the Super Bonus and 5X.
The big rotating upper flipper is cool and the changing suit selection makes things interesting. However, it's a bit one dimensional and only right flipper shot is the spinner (big scoring).. or a backhand to the drop targets. I quite like the art & colour scheme. The sound is bland and bleepy.
