Noteworthy features

  • "Remote trip" drop targets during multi-ball, where dropping a target on one set of targets causes a target to drop on the other set.
  • The sound board used on Hollywood Heat was a transitional one between the old System 80 and what eventually would be a greatly improved on the System 3 machines.

Trivia

  • John Trudeau and Steve Ritchie have been friends for a long time, even while working for then-rival companies Williams & Gottlieb. Steve Ritchie has stated that his favorite pinball machine is John Trudeau's Hollywood Heat.
  • John Trudeau has stated that Hollywood Heat's theme was indeed inspired by the mega-popular TV show "Miami Vice", but in no way is it a licensed product of the show.
