Noteworthy features

  • Left ramp in the shape of a G, right ramp shaped like a R.
  • Left ramp can open up to let the ball roll down a 'right side' shooter lane with a whirlpool plastic as a skill shot.
  • Left side manual plunger shaped like a rose, right side autoplunger shaped like a gun.
  • 3 magnets under playfield engage during multiball modes, pushing and pulling balls in various directions.

Trivia

  • Lyman Sheats programmed the video mode for GnR. It was subsequently recycled in Sega's 1997 'Star Wars Trilogy' (with different art) and in Stern's 1999 'Harley-Davidson'.
  • Slash is a pinball enthusiast whose music is also featured on Sega's Viper Night Drivin'. He released a virtual pin in 2018 playable here: https://pinball.slashonline.com/
