Mon préféré et même plutôt le Premium avec options / Mods ;)

This one is challenging, deep and fun to play. My slight complaint is that some of the sounds are a bit obnoxious and a touch repetitive. The theme is pretty cool. The best part is the chaining of shots that build to a better game. Pretty amazing game play.

When this was first announced, I was like, "Well, there's a pin I won't buy." Then I played it at TPF and couldn't stop. I wanted one. It took me time to save up but now I own a premium. It is just fun. It was one of just a few titles I was willing to shell out the bucks.
The theme is neutral to me. Yeah, I watched it as a kid when it was on TV, but mainly because there weren't many options back then. But it is very well integrated. The monsters, modes and special rules. They make sense and force you to shoot all over the playfield, not just spamming one shot over and over.
The music is heavy and similar to SpiderMan, which I love. The music definitely sounds better with a speaker upgrade.
The lighting is well executed and the RGB inserts helps you understand which shots need to be made during all the lovely chaos.
I love the atypical loopy layout with the sideways shots that can be tied together. I dinged the score due to the stock multiball release which drops the balls SDTM. Yes, there is a mod for that, but it should have been set up that way from the beginning. The sloppy ball launch which shouldn't require a fix. IMO, the issue is that ball guide placed right where the ball lands from the launch.
The left ramp becomes difficult to complete as the flippers warm up, so I added flipper fans and what a difference in game play! Also, the ball will often come out of the building SDTM at high speeds with no way to deal with it. They give you a couple of ball saves but that is a common shot and half the reason I will lose a good ball. Frustrating!
The split bridge only really comes into play in one mode but it does give some variation to the ramp shots. The spinning Mecha shot is cool, get to bash something and it adds to the chaos as that ball can go anywhere. The building though, it is meant to represent a crumbling skyrise and, besides looking cool as hell, mixes up the ramp return pattern for a time.
I gave it the same ratings as the Premium. I actually like the Premium's backglass better but I gave them the same rating.
Is this the best pin ever? I don't know but it is in my personal top 10, which is why I own a premium.

The game lives up to the hype. From the moment you step up to the machine, you're engulfed in stunning visuals and immersive sound effects that transport you into the heart of the Godzilla universe. The attention to detail is remarkable, with intricate artwork adorning the playfield and cabinet, showcasing beloved characters and memorable moments from the films. The gameplay itself is thrilling, featuring challenging shots, engaging modes, and dynamic multiball sequences.

The hype is real. Zilla is amazing in all regards. I am not much of a Godzilla movie fan but, I get it. I owned the LE and now I have the premium back. I have nothing bad to say about the game at all. Original layout, toys, mechs, sound effects all there. It’s filled with smooth shots, flow, paths and even had some humor. Excellent pinball and fun.

Great layout, great theme, great energy. I love playing this game and I really love the mecha Godzilla on the premium... The theme is dreamy and I love the Blue Oyster Cult treatment. Brilliant. I want one badly, but not so badly that I'm willing to part with JP.

I own the premium, but since they are essentially the same game, I’m giving the LE the same rating.

Now that I’ve owned the game for over a year, I think I can give it a fair rating.

To begin, this is the first game I’ve purchased that I’m fairly convinced will never leave my collection. In all honesty, it’s just the best pinball game that I’ve ever played. It scratches every itch.

Like many others, I have no attachment to the theme. I never watched any of the Godzilla movies, so I came into this completely unbiased. My attachment to the game is purely from playing it.

The game has so much to do that every time you play you can approach it in a different way. I’m an average player so in some games I totally fail, but in others I almost can’t lose. The game is perfectly balanced in that it rewards you for doing well but reminds you when you don’t.

All of the toys are perfectly aligned with the theme. The three main toys, the building, MechaGodzilla and the bridge all offer opportunities and risks. There are lots of interesting shots and all of them have various levels of difficulty. The game is approachable for guests as well as seasoned players.

As far as maintenance, I haven’t had any major hassles. The building had some issues with locking up, but after following advice from Stern support, it works as it should. I also had to make adjustments to avoid the sdtm issue during Godzilla (building) multiball but now the balls always go to the left flipper.

The callouts, music and animations are well done and exactly align with the theme.

Bottom line, this is a game that every pinball collector should own at some point. This is definitely a game that I would not consider “brutal”. It’s not a game that I would play if I wanted to be guaranteed a quick game. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that games sometimes last a long time. Overall, I’m thrilled to own this game and will be enjoying it for a long time to come.

To start my review, I’d like to say that Godzilla isn’t my favorite pin, in fact, far from it. But it should be the top machine on Pinside because it does everything a #1 machine should: It pleases every bodies needs, by having probably the best code ever, butter smooth shots, interesting toys & ramps, amazing artwork, beautiful sound design, etc… The point is, it has something for everybody, novice to expert, and doesn’t skimp on the details. To me, and many, it’s not a classic Data East or Bally/Williams that would top our personal lists, but OBJECTIVELY, for everyone, Godzilla is the greatest pinball machine.

More proof that Keith Elwin is a legend.

I had in first a premium and play more than 1000 plays on it.
Because I had too a LE nib, I decided to open it and keep this second.
I have today more than 1000 plays on it too.
I can saytoday that's it 's the better game I never played! The theme is not that I prefer but the game and the soft are essential.
Addicted of this game.

Edit, 2 years alter buying this game, still my number one !

Great catch and shoot pinball with great rules. Still get giddy over building multiball. Wouldn't have thought classic Godzilla theme would work so well, but great job on it.

It feels like being on a Disney ride in pinball form. Our first machine will be Scooby-Doo, but someday I want Godzilla in the collection as well. It may indeed be the King of machines!

This is a near perfect pin. Theme, shots, mechs… some of the best. The only, single miss was the music. Decent but could have been better. Everything else is flawless. This is, hands down, the best pin out there. High lastability, fun for all ages and skill types. The building mech is the most satisfying and the campy characters and clips brings lots of joy.

Very fun shooting game. The building and bridge mechs on this are really entertaining.

Unfortunately for me there must be a generation gap. I don't connect to the old school clips of the theme and went back to other games on location to play

I didn't like the color choice they did for the LE and the powder coating. Nothing I liked on it over the premium. Premium is the way to go for GZ

Possibly one of the best games stern has ever put out. Keith Elwin is a genius when it comes to layout and Jeremy Packer's art never disappoints. I need to put more time into learning the rules, but the game is an absolute blast.

I didn't want to like this pin, absolutely hate the theme. That upper shot that you can loop for days sold me. If you can get past the lizard it is fun. So satisfying, when the building spews out balls for GZ Multiball.
