I bought this game off a friend who told me how good it was. He didn't lie. Super fun game with multiple ways to win. It can be brutal but I figured out a pretty good strategy for popping a replay fairly often. You still have to fight for it. It's tough enough to keep you interested but beatable enough to make you keep trying. Always the first game I play when I walk in to the game room.

In 1955, this game carefully avoided the licensing issues that faced the manufacturers, but Gottlieb clearly played off the Davy Crockett fad (and coon skin hats) that was popular. It was sometimes referred to as the "King of the Wild Frontiersman."
One of my all time favorite woodrails, it is a nudger and strategist's delight. It was on my want list for many years and luckily, I came across a pristine example. It's a wonderful single player that features specials that awards multiple replays. It has a carry over replay feature, and can win up to 10 credits.
The back glass is one of Roy Parker's best: Has the prerequisite Parker Babe, beautiful colors and humorous gags scattered, including a "politically incorrect (by today's standards) of an Indian drinking heavily...

It was the last Gottlieb with wooden legs and highly recommended if you can find this rare game.

You have to play this game for credits, or it doesn't make any sense, like most woodrails! Excellent strategy game, love the gobble hole, love the carry over feature on the backglass... was searching for this game for ages, and very glad to find it!
