It's Elvis by the "King of Flow" Steve Ritchie! The layout is classic Ritchie "High Speed" with a dancing Elvis in the center, lots of music, and a really cool Heartbreak Hotel multiball ramp setup with clear 2nd level playfield. Break the Jailbirds out for Jailhouse Rock multiball, start barking the night away in Hound Dog Mode, get that inner loop shot with magnet assist! I love the original retro-looking color incandescent lighting on this one, it's just perfect, no LEDS for this, they just don't improve the lighting any. The game has a drop target bank, a rarer find these days and when you drop them all, the crowd chants "Elvis..Elvis..Elvis!". The sound is magnificent, real Elvis tunes from the '68 comeback special and amazing authentic sounding Elvis callouts. Don't play this in a "museum" surrounded by loud games booming, but go somewhere that you can hear it and get a shaker motor for "All Shook Up" mode. The artwork is perfect and beautiful, the playfield is packed but clean looking, only lacking pinblades for which you've got 3 design choices or mirrorblades available. The video mode is a weak spot in an otherwise satisfying game. You can even collect scarves and other gifts from Elvis. Elvis is the King - Of Rock 'n Roll AND of Pinball! It's an Elvis concert in a glass box. Get a 45 Jukebox filled with vinyl Elvis records to go with it!

Elvis is a fun game to play with great music and it also has nice artwork and I also really like the hound dog target toy

This game is pure fun! I would say the best implementation of a music star in pinball. Oh yeah - Elvis does his thing on the playfield.

Lots to do in this game to get to Graceland. It is not an easy task when a game is setup properly.

Game is beautiful if you are an Elvis fan probably less so if you are not.

The modes in the game are easy to understand and all of the shots to complete them is so fun. I just love the smooth flow of this fast game.

The guy who did the Elvis voice is great.

Toys:
Elvis rocks the house
Heartbreak Hotel - - so fun
Hound dog

One of Stern's Best - definitely a top 50 game for sure!

I wanted to like Elvis. That raised playfield and the nice shiny metal ramps were attractive features - it looked like fun from afar. But, as soon as I started playing, the kinetics were all off, and the standup hound dog seemed to draw all my shots.

I wasn't a fan of pinball Elvis.

A good, albeit slightly disappointing machine.

Pros:
- Sound is extremely good, but thats a given.
- Jailhouse shot is extremely satisfying to make, especially nailing Jackpots and Super Jackpots during Multiball. :)
- Dancing Elvis figure is innovative.
- A loop that's easy to shoot again and again thanks to a magnet that catches the ball.

Cons:
- Rules are way too simple for experienced pinball players.
- Gifts are boring. King of Rock 'n Roll scores more than anything else.
- Upper playfield does nothing besides advance towards Heartbreak Hotel, which even then doesn't score that much.
- Double scoring activates way too much.
- Bumpers slow down the game by a lot.

One of of the greatest pins made imo. I don't know how it has such a low rating.

Elvis uh huh huh. it has the trademark SR upper right flipper, that even has a special stop magnet to ease the shot, and a special diagonal playfield stripe to mark it out. Elvis the Pelvis wiggles his hips, and raises the microphone to sing in time with his songs. there's plenty to do and some quite deep rules, though it all dovetails nicely to form a Wizard mode that is well tricky - play all the modes, get all the 'gifts' (drop targets plus a saucer), and shoot all the Blue Note shots .... then you're in Graceland.

The upper playfield looks nice and makes good use of space. the video mode was ahead of its time, predicting all the dancing video games that are now so prevalent. and it has magnets, and four flippers, and a frenzy mode and a double-scoring feature that can be started anytime for points (Taking Care of Business). it's a fun little game

What I liked:

1. It's pinball. That is always fun;
2. The moving Elvis is cool;
3. Callouts are not bad; and
4. The ramps are challenging to hit.

What I didn't like:

1. The one I played, admittedly on location at an AMC (for what that is worth) had weak flippers;
2. Pop bumpers are obscured by upper playfield;
3. Ramps were overly hard to hit (possibly due to weak flippers mentioned at 1); and
4. A few too many STDM's for no apparent reason, including some off of the plunge. In my mind, that stuff shouldn't happen.

Glad to have played it though, and neat they only made 500.

I have a number of top ten games in my collection and I have no idea why Elvis gets a low ranking. I think most people have only played old abused and weak arcade machines. With strong flippers it is a balanced game with equal shots for right and left flipper. The additional two flippers get used quite a bit too. The playfield looks beautiful especially with an led upgrade. The music is great and I am not even an Elvis fan. Ranking definitely is not reflected in its price which seems to go up and up. Definitely a keeper for me.

Awful theme, awful gameplay, awful and cheap feel of a Stern machine... it's the triumvirate of bad pinball!

Maybe this one is popular in the rec room at the retirement home, but I can't see anyone actually enjoying it.

Edit: I got the chance to play a really pristine one at Pintastic 2016. I stand by my "awful theme and cheap feel" comments from a couple of years ago, but the gameplay isn't that awful. The earlier machine I had played was on route in a tourist town arcade, and really wasn't kept up well.

Father has a gold and I have just never found it to be a fun machine at all. Guitar on the cabinet looks nice and I think the theme is good. As far as game play it is one of those games you play once and say "eh". If you're a die hard Elvis fan I can see you wanting to own one.

I like the music but couldn't get into it. The Elvis figure looks really funny moving down. Game feels a bit cheap.

I am a huge Elvis fan, so I had high expectations for this game. This is a very good art package from Stern. Playfield design is also very good with great flow. The upper playfield is designed well with the Heartbreak Hotel a tough & fun shot to make. The huge problem for me with this game is the limited Elvis music with vocals. And the music that is there is not the full song, but just a few verses. This along with some of his best missing "Suspicious Minds", "Kentucky Rain", "The Ghetto" etc. drop this from what could have been a great game down to just an OK one.

I absolutely LOVE this pin, and I can keep it going for a long time. The one thing I don't like on it is Blue Suede Shoes. That inner loop kills me, but completing it to get to Graceland is very satisfying.

Been playing pinball since I was a kid and when this machine came out in 2004 it quickly became my all time favorite and got me back into pinball! Tracked the exact game down that I played brand new at BW3's in 2004, seven years later (2011)I bought it. First saw this game and thought Elvis? Not really a big music guy especially Elvis but wow it was cool. Great family game and cool music. Hotel shot never gets old especially in Hotel multiball. Never going to sell it. Elvis never gets much love on Pinside but much love in my collection. Still play it the most!
My favorite game !
Just updated: another year went by and Elvis still my favorite.
It's September 13th 2017 ....still my favorite and the game that I play the most in a pretty big collection of games. You got a give this one some time to understand the rules and get to Graceland!

I have had Elvis for over 1 year. Good game. Dancing Elvis is cool, Heartbreak Hotel is great. Back glass could have been better. A great game for any Elvis fan.

An insult to the KING! Very lackluster game play and the game just seems "cheap".

I'm not a huge Elvis fan but I do appreciate some of his music. However, I really didn't enjoy the pin. The music and sound are solid. The layout is ok but the gameplay didn't keep me interested. In addition, it is pretty cheesy - especially the "hound dog" and "moving Elvis"

I first discovered this pin via my virtual pinball cabinet. It instantly became one of my favorite go to tables. I have since played Elvis at some pinball shows and loved it even more. I now finally have one coming to my house next week. It is going right in between my AC/DC and Twilight Zone. Now I will have two music pins with Encore modes right next to each other.
Great ball flow, Multi level, Metal ramps with cutout notes, Dancing Elvis, Random Awards, and the music just fits very well to keep the energy going.
AC/DC just plain rocks, and Elvis is just plain fun and upbeat.
