The pin has a feel like MM and find there is a ton of depth to the game. Still learning the modes but dang is this one fun.

This game......
I'm not an Elvira fan at all... but this game is amazing
The sound package is easily in my top 5
The code is awesome, super fun to play through
the art on the play field screams pinball
its fun to shoot.
the toys and mechs are super cool... so many ball locks!
My only negative is the speaker quality from stern is poor, and the screen is kinda cheap..
and I wish selling the house wasn't so anti climatic
everything else is just a treat.
I never thought I would like this pin.... I passed it over for a long time... then I played it and it just hooked me in.
so much so I bought the damn thing.

I have loved every one of these version. I am so in love with how smooth and awesome this pin plays. The long distance shots are sniper dandies and so much fun.

Love this game. The layout is perfect for the different modes in the game. I keep coming back to try to compete more and more of them in one game. Definitely a challenging game, but that's part of the charm

This is just a really fun machine to play. The video animations, both the movies and Elvira, herself are a great fit with the overall game. This is clearly an evolution of the level of integration I hadn't seen since Batman 66, and is maybe only surpassed by the newer Godzilla. The shots, mostly, flow really nicely, and the modes are interesting and different enough. Really has the "one more play" factor.

My only real gripe is that it did feel like you could get through most of the game with moderate skill. I hit most of the wizard modes pretty early on in my playing. As I mentioned above, it is fun enough to keep you coming back, but I think over time you would get to the "end" often (just to be clear, this isn't Munsters levels of shallow, just not as deep as say JP or as challenging as IM).

My favorite game in my collection. One of the best coded games out there. There are so many things to do it's almost impossible to get sick of playing. Layout is fairly simple, but it's fun to shoot. All the shots feel great. I can't think of a better theme in pinball than Elvira, monsters ect. Had to sell two good pins to aquire it, but I do not regret it in the least.

The 3rd installment of Elvira and it's a theme I really enjoy and I love the campiness of the game and the movie clips themselves. It feels like a real life cheesey late night Elvira on your TV show but your playing pinball. It's a great 2 flipper game and definitely one of the best recent Stern pins we've seen....right up there with Deadpool & Godzilla as perhaps the best they've done. The shots are really satisfying....definitely one I'd like to add to my collection someday.

Update V1.08
Really great that Stern still add some new features to this machine.

Version 1.06 previous Version
As a former Scared Stiff owner, expectations were very high.
I had bought the Elvira Dec 2021 new without having played it. I also did not look at any game reports beforehand. I wanted to discover this pinball machine for myself.

The machine is great. I could look at the artwork alone for an entire evening without playing a ball. There is always something to discover. "They´re coming to get you Babara." Thanks Greg!!!

The light show is perfect. Everything fits here. A shot into the crypt, the light goes off, from the speaker comes a click of a switch and at the same time the light in the crypt comes on. Perfect.

The call outs are great. Cassandra and especially Tim Kitzrow give everything. Headphone jack is a must have.
The horror videos are bad, but I guess that's how it should be.

Less good Imo the Cabinet of the Premiums. It it loveless.
In addition, some time had to be invested in optimizing the mechanics. At the beginning it jammed here and there. I only say optocoupler ramp right. Poorly visible right loop insert for people under 1.75 cm.
The animation for an extra ball by a gargoil I find nowhere near as funny as in Attack from Mars. There is still a lot of room for improvement.
I also think the ramp mechanically unfavorably implemented. It is moved by a gear motor. This takes time, so it can happen that the ball hit exactly on the plate of the ramp. Better would be a coil that moves the ramp quickly. Like in TWD premium/LE.

All in all, the best pinball machine I have ever owned. I would not replace it with a Scared Stiff. (my wife sees it differently).
You can have fun longer with this Elvira. After 3 months I have by no means seen everything.

I've played a few Elvira titles and I'll say this is by far my favorite. Don't get me wrong, the others are good but the LCD video brings this to a new level. If you're looking for an Elvira, this is the version to get. Rules are simple, activate a room in the house by getting the ball through the front door, that triggers a the goal of collecting scenes of a particular movie by hitting targets. The more you collect before draining the ball the higher the point value. I've had this game for months and I have only collected all the scenes (of one particular movie) once. It's not easy to do. As always, Elvira has a few funny things to says as per her regular humor which is one of the main reasons I bought the game.

I originally did not have a must play desire for this pin. After watching video reviews, I sought this game out in the wild. My wife and I both had so much fun on this pin. The campy feel is perfect and the topper is one of the best!

Stern has been on a roll the last couple years, and this game is no exception. I am partially biased as an Elvira fan, but Dennis and Lyman really killed it with a fun design and killer code. This game is a joy to play! The modes are fun and funny (Debbie!!!), the toys are great (house, crypt, trunk), and the artwork is really nice (with the exception of the very bland cabinet). I love all the newly recorded Elvira footage for the game and the use of the movie assets is really well done. I do wish the Elvira call outs and videos were a bit more risque with more double entendre. Overall a fantastic package.

I really thought this would be a long term keeper in my collection, but being a "fan layout" I wanted something a little different to shoot (ended up trading for a JP Premium which was perfect). I would still love to own this game again some day, and will happily play it any chance I can get! Kudos to Stern and team!

Great machine but I think Scared Stiff is hands down the best of the three Elvira machines. SS has way better callouts and I prefer the nostalgia of the 90’s era machines. House of Horrors is a more modern and family friendly machine.

I don't know what it is about Elvira and pinball, but all three Elvira tables are solid. This one probably has the best theme integration and callouts of any new Stern, and the look and presentation are also great. The shots are okay. It's very easy to be won over by the presentation of the table and the absolute delight of the mode themes and voice work, but playing this over and over starts to get a little sloggy, as there is a lot of clank, and most of the routed machines I play on are starting to have pretty significant issues with registering shots and such. It's top-tier on presentation, but really mid-tier for actual gameplay.

Pros: Fun callouts, playfield looks great and has some surprises. A LOT of variation in videos, Elvira's commentary is done really well. Modes are tough but goals are clear. Theme integration is as good as any game out there.

Cons: No "wow" shot or mode. The two flipper fan layout is uninspired, and the generally open middle doesn't have the same risk-reward as GOT or BKSOR. I think it's telling that the EHOH's for sale have gone up exponentially in the last six months. It's by all means a good game, but it feels like it's lost its luster a little.

Elvira, perfection. Dennis Nordman, I am obsessed with the open playfield concept. Toys without a doubt top 5 toy of all time in pinball, and that's a big deal. Prices way too high but it makes sense, this will be one that stays in peoples collection for a awhile/forever. This is one of those newer pins that the inflated prices for me, it justifiable (dare i say it). Love it, call outs, shots, it just feels right.

This is a great game. The worst thing about it is the considerable investment in time and added or changed parts necessary to tweak the game play when received new in the box (e.g., different rubber for post in left loop and out of bumpers, parts to fix return ramp air balls, gargoyle target ground issue, etc with many being an issue since game first manufactured). However, once one does the research on Pinside and goes through the effort of making these fixes, the game play becomes spectacular. Just wish Stern would have addressed these mostly very inexpensive corrections in later runs. I reduced the “fun” rating slightly to reflect this as there was no rating specific to this issue.
