This is a good machine. But I will not sell my SS for it

I was wanting a comedic horror game, and this one hit the mark! The multiple ball-locks are fantastic, the shots are smooth, and the sound and call-outs are awesome! My only complaint with this game is vertical upkick release. That thing is touchy!

I wasn't convinced I wanted an Elvira machine, but this game is well-worth the money! I'll be keeping this one around for a while!

This game is lots of fun and is a great add on to the Elvira collection. I own the game and it will be remaining a pin in my collection.

Note: I also own Scared Stiff, which until playing this game was my all-time favorite. This game is an instant classic- minutes into the game I had this huge smile on my face and a huge feeling of nostalgia washed over me. The haunt introduction videos by Elvira bring the classic movie experience to life, and the original music and callouts from the movie collection are numerous and never tiresome after hours and hours of playing. I have actually been inspired to go back and watch a lot of these movies after playing this (Manos: The Hands of Fate is a masterpiece btw). I have owned numerous pins through trades or currently played and this is the by far the best and most addictive I have played by a large margin. The original code and settings are a little lacking but vast improvements have been made, especially with the shaker motor and added movie scenes and dialogue. The only issue is that a lot of the modes are superfluous: there doesn't seem to be a huge point advantage in Drive Me Crazy mode or Unhappy Hour, but completing the main haunts through the center House shot and acheiving Gappa Angry mode is very challenging to get to (more so than Scared Stiff mode). Best of all time!

This is a quality pin with a lot of fun packed in. There isn't much dropoff from the LE, but the price point is much friendlier.

This is an amazing game, It is my favorite by far I have never played a game that made me laugh out loud and this one does. I believe this will be a very desirable game to have in the future and very collectable. I will never sell the one I have.

I like both of the older Elvira games. This one is the best. I really thought, I would not like this layout versus the other models. I was wrong. The game and everything about it is perfect so far. It’s addicting and a lot of fun to play.

Very solid game and entertaining. Videos are very cool but really enjoy the shot challenges. Would love to have this for home.

This new Elvira is unique in its own way. The mansion is a cool part of the pin and entertaining. The shot selection is good. I enjoyed playing it. Its not a keeper for me or one that I would add to my humble collection. An interesting theme nonetheless.

I bought this without even playing it, solely based on theme, designer, and programmer.

Homerun - I could not be happier with this game. It is a blast to play and the layout has good flow, smooth shots and is challenging. My only gripe is cabinet outside side art is boring. This game is already awesome to play and will continue to improve as Lyman works his magic!

Beautiful effects and illumination of the haunted house Shots are fun. The back glass art is not as cool as Scared Stiff. Elivira looks cartoony and too exaggerated.

Being an owner of both EATPM and SS, I had high expectations for this machine. I was able to play this numerous times at a pinball show and ended up not being disappointed. The more games I played on it, the more I grew to like it. Now, at first I thought the premium had just average cabinet artwork - maybe I still do... but just a bit. But with time, it grew on me. (The LE's cabinet artwork is probably more highly regarded, but it looked a bit too similar to EATPM when placed next to one another, so I chose the premium to purchase)

The game plays smoothly, is a theme I love and the both the sounds & lighting are spooky - like they should be! All in all, I think it's a good shooter with long term playabilty. On the down side, it did have some issues with the ramp and haunted house plastics - but those have been since remedied. Definitely not a perfect machine, but a theme I love and I recommend it highly. Edit 8/18/20 - installed game code v.99. Wow - this game is awesome. Lyman Sheets really knows how to improve an already great game. A must buy (or play!) :)

This game is not as good as Scared Stiff however I think the main item in the game (Haunted Mansion) is my favorite single thing in any pinball game I own. I like the tomb, love how they re-incorporated the pop up monsters from Scared Stiff and even the spinning wheel although into the screen itself.

For the first time we also hear and see Elvira all pluses. However the game isn't a very unique game, some of the art makes no sense. You have a mansion in the middle of what exactly? Should be maybe a graveyard fence. I think the theming is very strange like rubber ducks? HUH!

Several things on my game broke including the locking trunk and the back lock never functioned a dealer just removed stuff from the game for me to get it to function.

THE CGI FX on screen really have no rhyme or reason to them, showing a lot of clips from movies no one has ever heard of.

The game is okay. If you are an Elvira fan I think you'll be pleased.

Scared Stiff is still king!!!!

I'm a big fan of all three Elvira pins. I'd be happy to have any of them in my collection, but this is my favorite. The ball times are long, which is fine by me, since there is so much content to explore. Compare this game to The Munsters which was released the same year with a similar spooky-humor theme.

Good game. I like how the same shot offers different things to hit or paths to open up. Waiting for code to be flushed out

I like this Elvira themed pin best and it will probably end as a top 40 pin. Will continue playing this pin on location often.

Have had our premium a few days now and really enjoying it. The house shots are fun. Elvira’s custom video snippets add a nice element. The rules and code are still evolving, but it’s still a lot of fun. Trunk toys adds a nice ramp element. The pop-up gargoyles are awesome and all their call outs are fun.

I got to play this game at Expo 2019.

The Pros:
Ummmmmmm, it's elvira? The mistress of the dark is BACK! This game is FUN. The theatre on this game, OG horror clips of the highest Bgrade rating and more silly-gore than you can shake a Gar-goil on a stick at. The lighting in particular is well designed. The haunted house is set up so that it reflects the colors of the modes running in the game. Multiball is straightforward and well done. The deadheads are now an active mode running along with all the rest of the action of the table simultaneously. At first the shots seem narrow, but they are well laid out and very make-able. This game should sell well and keep lots of pinheads happy. Using the button on the animated wheel to skillfully stop on the award you want. Why hasn't this been done this well before?

The Cons:
The kickout on the right shoots the ball directly across the PF. Sling-sling-out with consistency. I know that the power on the coil can be adjusted, but the direction of the VUK may not (?). You should not be punished for making a successful shot and then have the control taken out of your hands. Almost as bad as a badly adjusted kickout on MB. A semi-standard fan layout with most shots around the perimeter of the PF. Junk in the trunk can be accidentally started by the ball bumbling it's way into the exit. No one way gate?

The takeaway:
So far a really good game, will it be a really great game...? We shall see. As software updates come out, that will be the real test. There are lots of inserts on the PF that need to have code assigned to them. The best news is that just shooting this game is a hoot and that is always a good start. Updates will follow as the game code is flushed out.

Elvira stated in this pinball machines promotional video, "Instant Classic" and she was right. The code is early but the game is already extremely fun to play so it is only going to get better. The Haunted Mansion is amazing looking. Good flow with the ramps. I opened the out lanes to increase the difficulty. The art package is as good as it gets if your into humorous horror like Ghost Busters. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Stern, your team did a great job on this one. Thanks for not being politically correct in a world that has gone mad by allowing Elvira to exploit her wonderous boobies on the back glass and side art unlike my Coors cardboard cutout of her where her hair hides the gap. This will remain in my collection for a long time.
